The Crimson Sword

"My must trust weapon, the one who make me be known around the county. The day I obtain my sword, was the day that I met him, in front of us was the strongest person that I had ever seen, but before meeting him, I and the other four had to survive of fight to death against the powerful monster. Yes, Luciel, I was afraid, but I was not alone, I was with my brothers." – said the old man who looked at his old weapon.

Don't be afraid, it would only make you made mistakes, that was what my mind said to me, but my spirit was almost broken.

We all stood around the powerful monster who it was not afraid to confront five-armed people.

"We should run!" – scream Lapz. – "I would try to damage its eyes, so we need to…"

"Careful!" – alert Lino to Lapz who jump at his right, and when he was before, now there was standing the huge monster.

"The Snow Bear is attacking at the people who talk!" – said Pak who also evaded the monster who came to tear him apart.

"Then let's use that to our advantage!" – scream Clinton who evade and try to hurt the monster with his sword, but he couldn't hurt the creature, so he retreats.

I was strong… no.

I was scared… yes.

"You should all escape!" – I said to the others as I start to evade the attacks of the monster. – "This is my mission, you are just dead weight to me, so, go away from here."

"Idiot!" – said Clinton as he tries to block the attack of the monster.

"Clinton!" – Pak try to run to help Clinton but had to retreat because of the attacks of the snow bear.

"I'm fine." – said Clinton, and the monster start to run to where he was.

"Hey!" – I scream with all my strength, and then, the beast pushes me away, I felt to where the countless of items where, in the mountain of objects I was hurt.

"Shit!" – Lapz start to shoot at the monster.

If Gladius was here… or Urs… but no… we are here alone… I don't want to die, but I was more scared in seeing my friends died because of me.

When I stood up, my eyes notice a sword, a crimson sword, and its black sheath.

'Beautiful.' – was my first taught at seeing the majestic weapon, but then, I heard the scream of Lapz who was hurt by the white killing machine.

I took the sword and unsheathed it.

The crimson sword was bright and beautiful, and somehow, when I unsheathe the sword, the snow bear looks at me, or better say, it saw the sword.

ROAR!!!

The monster roar and start to run unto me, but I evade it in time, and then…

Slash

A beautiful slash that finally hurt the monster.

ROAR!!!

"You hurt it!"- scream with emotion Pak, but somehow that made the monster angrier.

ROAR!

And the beast start coming after me, I try to evade and block, but the beast was stronger and faster.

Before I collapse, an arrow almost damaged its eye.

"Shit! I almost made it!" – cry with anguish Lapz.

"Let's go!" – yelled Lino. – "We can do it!"

"Together!" – replied then Clinton.

"Come on!" – we all attack the monster, but then…

Roar

The beast just made a low roar and spikes of ice were flying toward us.

"Dodge!" – Lino screamed, but it was too late.

"Ah!" – a spike of ice damaged the good arm of Lapz.

Pak dodge successfully, Lino too.

I blocked then damn spike of ice with the crimson sword, the most damaged was Clinton whose right leg was incrusted by a spike.

"Shit!" – scream Clinton.

"Clinton!" – I yelled when I saw my best friend hurt very badly, I run towards the monster with my new sword, the only weapon capable of damaging the damn beast, but it was futile.

The snow bear with just a movement, when behind me and with its claws damage my back.

"Ah!" – I was lucky to jump forward, if not, I would be pieces, I was lucky enough to only had now some scars, but in that moment, I felt so much pain, I screamed like I never had scream in my entire life.

"Lapz!" – yelled Lino.

"I know." – with only one arm, and using his mouth, Lapz starts shooting arrow after arrow, but none can damage the snow bear.

The beast didn't even care to be going after Lapz or Lino, it was coming closer to me.

I try to escape, I was crawling, but it was not enough, the creature with one of its paws crushed my right leg.

"AH!!"

I am not strong, I am weak.

I am not brave, I am coward.

I am not leader, I am nothing.

But still… when those dark thoughts passed in my mind, the smile of a person bring me back, that smile give me strength.

"I will not die!" – I screamed, and then, with my sword I try to kill the snow bear, but the SS-Rank monster with just one little punch of is front paw, threw away the crimson sword.

Seeing that I was at the mercy of the monster, Lino and Pak try to run to attack the snow bear, but again the monster roar and ice speaks were throw towards the others, this time, really hurting Lino's right shoulder, Pak's left leg, and the other arm of Lapz.

The five of us were in the ground, wounded and tired, without a chance now to escape.

I was a fool, I shouldn't have let the others to came with me, now, we all are going to die.

"Ah!" – I screamed, trying to hurt the beast, but I only made my hands bleed.

"Died you piece of shit!" – I scream, even with my wound and bleeding hands, I didn't stop punching the monster.

'I can't die, I can't die, I can't die…'

"Armando!" – my best friend scream, he was trying to help me, but he could only crawl now.

The others start to scream, trying to make the monster to go to one of them and to let me in peace, but the monster didn't care about my friends, oh no, I could feel it, the monster was now trying to kill the one who could hurt it, the monster was trying to make me suffered.

The snow bear was at the beginning toying with us, but it got angry when I hurt it, and now, now I was paying the price of my actions.

I came to this place, in the enemy territory to get my mission done, and go back to the City of Mara to be together again with the woman I love, but now, now I was being hurt by a terrible monster.

It was my end.

Hurt, and without the only weapon who could harm the beast, the Crimson Sword, I could not do anything now, only dead awaits me.
