Hearing about freshers night

Belle refreshed and changed into his remodified uniform. He still had one more class before he could call it a day. Walking down the walkway to the ability class, Belle could see most students loitering around, some heading for their next classes.

"It will be Freshers' Night. After tonight, we would be fully integrated into the academy. Seniors will be able to meet us, and we will be able to participate in everything done in the academy," a female student who was conversating with another said with glee as Belle walked by.

"Being fully integrated might not be that great. My elder sister said that once fully integrated, it becomes survival of the fittest. You get washed out from history if you are weak," the student the female student was talking to said.

"Well, it's not like the academy will fold their hands and watch you in perilous situations, right?" the female student asked.

"They won't if you prove your worth. The All Blacks will receive all the good treatment. If they manage to prove their worth by joining to the point that they are already All Blacks, they will be like mini district rulers. If they bully you, then the academy won't say anything unless you have some worth," the other student replied.

"But all the All Blacks are still in our set. They won't feel great bullying us, right?" the female student said, seeming totally naive.

"Hahaha! I just hope you have enjoyed the weather now that the storm hasn't started. Why do you think most All Blacks are already making their factions? Besides, if we escape not being picked by our batch's All Black, what about the other batches?" The other students replied.

"Not every All Black has a faction. See, he doesn't have one," the female student said, referring to Belle.

"He is a weird one. I think that makes him the most deadly. He won't have things easy, though. We are not the only ones that can be bullied. Even All Blacks can be bullied by older All Blacks. He might stand one all black alone, but I highly doubt he will stand against their factions. That's why he needs his own," the other student said.

"I hope he doesn't have it bad. He is so cute," the female student said.

"Exactly the reason why he will have it bad. Imagine me having feelings for you, and you just saying it in my presence that he is so cute," the other student said, causing the girl to force a smile.

"We girls can actually find a guy cute but have no feelings for him. We are not that easy to get with looks," the girl said, causing the other student to give her a mean look.

"Maybe we are when the look is a bit over the top. But come on, you don't need to be jealous. We girls have our pride too. Only a few will take the step of actively going after a guy. The rest will want the guy to be the one taking the first step," the female student said.

"So, you are interested?" the other student said, not as lively as before.

"Maybe a little bit. Just don't worry. You stand better chances. Like you said, he is a weird one. The chances of him noticing me or any other girl when books still exist is below 5%, maybe even lower," the girl said, laughing out wide.

" you even know about his habit of going to the library?" the other student said, still not cheering up.

"I just said I am a bit interested. Besides, who doesn't know? Don't tell me you think the large influx of girls into the library is just for reading. I bet most girls go there to see him. He is eye candy," the female student said.

"You know, I don't know why I am beginning to feel like praying he has it bad," the other student said.

"He is not interested in any girl. Maybe he will be if a girl shows up with the ability to turn into a book," the female student said, laughing out wide.

Belle hadn't heard all their conversations. He had only heard about the Freshman Night. "Is there something like that?" Belle asked himself. He had never followed up on most things in the school since he joined. His activities never exceeded attending class and leaving immediately once it was over, heading to the library or his apartment. If only All Blacks shared rooms with another person, maybe he would have learned more.

Belle walked into the ability class. After the martial arts class, he had a 30-minute break, so heading to the ability class directly without using up his thirty minutes made him the earliest student in the class. This was the only class where he felt like he got less attention, so he wasn't covering his hair and half of his face with his hoodie.

"First, as always," the ability teacher, Gerald Butler, who was already in the class, seemingly preparing what is needed before class, said.

"My other class ended some time ago," Belle gave a simple answer.

"I see, wait a bit more then, there is still ten minutes remaining." "Okay," Belle answered before finding himself a seat right at the back. It was pretty much his normal sitting position.

"I hope you know you will be having a freshman night tonight. It is compulsory for every student. It is a way for the academy to fully initiate students into the circles, and also a good time for teenagers to have a good time with themselves," Sir Gerald said while covering his mouth to say the last part.

"I just heard about it three minutes ago," Belle said, stating the actual truth.

"Oh, I was already doubting you knew that," Sir Gerald said.

"I heard some students talking about it while coming," Belle said.

"Well, remember to go with protection. You are good-looking so..." Sir Gerald said, making Belle immediately reconsider how many teachers he will deem normal in the academy since most seem abnormal.

"I am just fifteen," Belle said, as he could totally ascertain that most of the academy's teachers are not normal. Sir Iko is shameless and petty, Sir Gerald is a pervert, and Sir Fenrir's ideas make you wonder most times if he is a maniac.

"My good people said age is just a number. Besides, you already know about protection," Sir Gerald said, laughing wide.

"I saw it in books," Belle said.

"It must be an Erotica then. You must be a man of culture, or should I say a teenager of culture," Sir Gerald said, laughing.

"I really doubt you went through the consideration process before becoming a teacher," Belle said, totally tired of explaining.

"I didn't," Sir Gerald said, laughing at Belle's words.

Soon enough, students started filing in as the class got ready to start.
