Going to buy clothes

Silence reigned between Belle and Elizabeth for some time before Elizabeth finally spoke. "You know, you really need to change those clothes. You look like you crawled out of the dirt wearing them."

"I did," Belle replied honestly.

"Come with me," Elizabeth said as she dragged Belle along.

"Why did you tell them to close the restaurant?" Belle asked. He was now certain that Elizabeth didn't actually want to beat him up or anything else.

"I always look mean, so it seems right to appear that way to be believable," Elizabeth said, laughing.

Hearing this, Belle couldn't help but look at her. He wasn't entirely convinced. Seeing his disbelief, Elizabeth explained, "One of my powers is clairvoyance. When you came in and replied to me word for word, I tried to take a look at the future. Yeah, my clairvoyance works differently; I can directly see what will happen in a week or two. I wanted to see what was giving you morale, but do you know what happened?" Elizabeth asked, looking at Belle. Belle shook his head, indicating that he didn't know. "I couldn't see it," Elizabeth said, laughing. "You know, the world is really big, and one should always expect things. But you were really the first person that my clairvoyance didn't work on," Belle understood why things went the way they did.

"You closed the restaurant just in case things spiraled the wrong way since you couldn't confirm the future?" Belle asked.

"Exactly. It seems I've been relying too much on my clairvoyance power," Elizabeth admitted.

"Did you try to get close to me because you couldn't see the future and wanted to stay on the good side, just in case?" Belle said, feeling a bit sad. He thought he had found someone similar to a big sister.

"Silly boy, I closed the restaurant because I couldn't see the future, but I didn't decide to get close to you because I couldn't see your future. I genuinely felt like I met a lost kin," Elizabeth said as she finally dragged Belle into a room.

Upon hearing this, Belle felt a little happier. "Let's see," Elizabeth rushed to her closet, searching, and then returned with a piece of clothing while laughing. Seeing her laugh, Belle couldn't help but wonder what was going on in her mind. "This is the only decent one I can find for you to change into before we go buy clothes," Elizabeth said, giggling.

Upon seeing the clothes, Belle slowly stepped back. "I'm not wearing that," Belle said. It was a Gothic dress, clearly meant for girls.

"Don't worry, it won't be that bad. I mean, come on, you already look girly, bear a girl's name, and wearing girl's clothes this once won't kill you," Elizabeth said mischievously.

"Something tells me you could find another outfit if you looked seriously," Belle said, feeling dejected. Seriously, he looked girly and bore a girl's name too. His parents didn't help at all; he could swear they named him based on his appearance.

"Okay, just wear it. Please, just this once," Elizabeth said, trying to make puppy eyes.

"It's not like I have an option, where can I watch then change " Belle said, taking the clothes from her.

"You're really considerate," Elizabeth remarked. "Where can I change?" Belle asked. "In there," Elizabeth pointed him to a room.

After a few minutes, Belle emerged wearing a black Gothic gown. "You know, I really think this is a cheat for a lot of girls. How can a guy look this good?" Elizabeth said.

"I might as well change back into my old clothes now," Belle said, turning to re-enter the room.

"You know, it would look really weird if you walked around all dirty with your big sis. Consider your big sister's feelings when others say 'your small brother, the one that came shopping with you, all dirty' back then," Elizabeth said, trying to look pitiful.

"Your younger brother being girly wouldn't be ideal either," Belle replied.

"You don't get it. None of the girls would think that. They would just say, 'Your younger brother is so beautiful. Bring him over. I will make a lot of money with that. I might even make him our mascot,'" Elizabeth said with an evil grin.

Hearing her, Belle could only shake his head. "Let's go get the clothes now," Elizabeth said as she stood up, walked over to Belle, and began dragging him along.

Outside the building, Belle watched as Elizabeth stopped a carriage. Technology is really advanced in this world, but because of the dangers it started posing since the apocalypse, people tend to stay far from it. Nobody wants to stay in a car and see the car totally lock him out of the human world. According to the higher-ups, something they call Alien intelligence effect technologies, even phones were less used. Nobody trusts phones enough anymore to send important stuff with it or talk about something important over it.

"Lana da Beu," Elizabeth said as she dragged Belle into the carriage.

"Okay, Ma'am," the carriage driver said as he giddied up the beast that looks like a wolfhound, causing the carriage to start moving. Lately, this beast has been more common than horses and has also been tameable by humans. Carriages with horses are for the super-rich.

Inside the carriage, Belle looked out from the window to see what he could. "Hey cutie," Elizabeth said, causing Belle to turn and have his picture taken. Seeing her do that, Belle could only shake his head and turn back to keep admiring the city.

"You're not throwing a fit and telling me to delete that," Elizabeth said.

"I could guess you wanted something like that from the beginning," Belle said, seemingly not caring.

"Was I that easy to see through?" Elizabeth said, but Belle didn't answer her.

Soon enough, they were already at Lana da Beau. Both were really good-looking and quickly managed to gather attention. "Wow, those two really look good. They must be..." All Belle could hear as they walked around. He wasn't angry with that though, but he didn't feel good hearing all of them call him Elizabeth's little sister. None of them even bother thinking, "What if he is a boy wearing girls' clothes?"

"I know I looked girly, but shouldn't it be to the extent of no one assuming I am a boy once I wear girls' clothes, right?" Belle thought dejectedly to himself.

"Ma'am, these are all the clothes you have picked so far," a lady led four servants carrying a lot of clothes as Elizabeth sat down leisurely by the side, while Belle lay on a couch across her, all tired. He had seen how stressful it can be going shopping with a girl. He was almost made to check every cloth that was his size.

"Pack them all up, then," Elizabeth said, causing more attention towards them. "Some super rich people out on a shopping spree," was all they could think. The servants were thinking differently though. They were wondering why they must be buying boys' clothes when both are girls. They didn't voice out anything though.

Elizabeth dragged Belle up as she ordered it to get delivered, while she left with Belle.
