Family Meeting

Claire and Sam were both nervous as they knew that they had a family meeting to talk about what they need to do going forward.

There wasn't much talk on the way home as they all had something on their minds, with the exception of James and Johnathan. They only talk when they need to.

Kevin on the other hand was grumbling to himself about how annoying Annie was. Think if only he could give her a slap for how rude she was to his sister.

Once they got home, Sarah opened her mouth, "Everyone let's go to the table for a family meeting."

With that, they met up. Sarah had a notebook out and the twins had their phones as that is where they saved the videos and news reports.

James starts it off, "Everyone knows except for Johnathan and Kevin. I'll let the twins explain from the beginning as they are the ones to first know."

Johnathan and Kevin also knew about how the twins have prophetic dreams of the future.

Claire starts it off with Sam jumping in every now an them to add more detail. They talked about how the world is falling apart from the disasters, the dead rising or disease, and the betrayal of Annie's family that caused their deaths.

By the time the twins were done both Johnathan and Kevin had grim looks on their faces.

"That's why you two were talking about the countryside home we stayed at before this morning," Johnathan guessed after they stopped talking.

"Yeah."

Kevin got even more annoyed thinking about Annie with this information, "I should of punched her before we left school."

Everyone ignored that comment as it wasn't important right now, but Claire nodded, "I think that would of caused us more trouble if you did. I think we still have time before the world ends. Maybe around a 3 to 4 months before it gets out of hand."

"Why do you think so?"

Sarah was wondering why Claire said that but then thought of the evidence that the twins were tasked to look into.

James asked the twins, "What have you both found out about the disasters and the disease?"

Sam said, "Claire made me look into news about global natural calamities. I found several articles and starting from last few months. Just looking at the progress there is more and more happening..."

"Just the last two months there have been a concerning amount globally," Claire finished what Sam was trying to say.

"The disease or the zombies I also looked back a few months. It was only 6 videos that stood out to us. I'll send it to your alls email so you can watch it later," Claire continued.

"We also wrote down the dates for each video. You will notice that the last 3 happened pretty recently. Claire has to do some more research though because we want to find out what happened to the victims that survived the attacks," Sam added.

James said, "Don't send the videos to all of us, just send it to me and Johnathan. We can show it to Sarah and Kevin."

"Mmm, with all that you said you gave us 3 to 4 months to prepare. Let's start with where to go," Johnathan wanted to start planning as soon as possible.

Kevin jumps up excitedly, "We should go to the countryside house we stayed at before. We can build off of it and make it more secured."

"That's what me and Sam were thinking too. I think we should go make a reservation there at the start of May and go there once school gets out. It's already April and we can make a thorough sweep of the house to pack up before we leave," Claire gave her and Sam's opinion as they know the most.

Sarah also gave her opinion, "Even if we go there in May that still gives us about 2 more months to gather resources. We are going to have to pool all of our money so we can budget for what we need the most."

Once Claire and her mother gave their opinion Everyone else started giving their thoughts on the matter of resources as every penny counts until the end of the world, then money means nothing.

As they were talking Claire falls silent as she was thinking about the dream again to give them more details that could help them survive.

Claire then sits up straight, "There was something else we forgot to mention. There is a possibility that we get powers that can make us stronger."

That stopped all the chatter. Kevin got excited, "Does that mean we can have superpowers? Shooting fire out of my hands, a storage space, or even healing abilities."

Sam forgot about that too, "Yeah, the Zombies, mutated plants, monsters, and mutated animals also had these crystals in their brains. We can absorb them and it can power us up even more."

"Cool," Kevin wasn't dissuaded. "I hope I get a powerful ability."

Claire had to put a damper on Kevin's enthusiasim, "I think you will have to figure that out yourselves. Even if me and Sam tell you whether or not you have powers it wouldn't help you awaken it for you to use."
