Fiona came down the stairs, and with a smile, she spoke: " Good luck, brother, you can do it. "

Derek nodded in response, then he looked at his father and spoke: " Let's go, Dad. "

Kyle glanced at Derek and then gestured at him to follow, before going into his bedroom.

Derek looked at his father confusedly but still followed behind him. Fiona watched them enter the room and after a couple of minutes, she returned back to her own room.

After entering the room, Kyle removed the carpet from the ground revealing a circle with strange designs, then he stood at one of the corners and began to enchant something.

Nothing happened for a few minutes, but then the circle under his feet began to emit a blinding yellow light, before Derek could understand what was happening, the yellow light engulfed both him and Kyle.

When Derek opened his eyes, he found himself standing in a completely different place, the ground was stretching to as far as the eye could see, and small red grass covered the ground.

Derek could see a big pond some distance away, just under a cliff, but the water in it didn't seem ordinary. Its colour was dark blue and a buzzing sound was coming out of it, as if it was a concentrated acid.

The sky had three fully formed moons, out of which one was especially bigger and brighter. And a little further from the three moons, a hallo of a moon could be seen, as if it has just begun to form.

" Dad, where is this? " Derek asked.

" It's a land our family uses for training, the moons in the sky represent us, you'll see more after we start. " Kyle replied.

" And was that a magic circle? How did we teleport here? " Derek asked curiously.

" It's a magic circle created by witches. " Kyle said and then continued: " Let's start your training now. "

" Here, eat this pill. " he said and took out a pill and handed it to Derek, who took it and ate it immediately.

" This is a pill created by witches, it will help you to breathe underwater. " Kyle explained. " Try to remain inside as long as you can. "

" Wait, breathe under water? Where are we- huh? " As he asked his father, Kyle brought him to the cliff and then pushed him towards the blue liquid.

Derek couldn't believe what his father had done to him, as he was falling, he looked at his father with eyes full of accusations screaming betrayal.

*SPLASSSHHHH*

Derek fell into the blue liquid, he felt as if the fluid was pulling him down, and within seconds he found himself drowning. At first, he tried to hold his breath but as he calmed down slightly he remembered about the pill his father gave him.

He tried to breathe and found that he was easily able to do just that, Derek tried to look around but the liquid was too concentrated to see anything around. Then the blue liquid began to show its effect.

At first, the fluid felt cold, as if his entire body was placed in an ice cold liquid, then after a dozen minutes the liquid began to sting all over. Initially, it was mild, but as time passed Derek felt as if a bucket of burning hot was was being poured on him.

Derek tightly shut his eyes and tried to endure the pain, his entire skin was being burned and recreated by the liquid. The feeling of his skin being destroyed was especially painful, and when his skin healed it felt itchy.

' Fuck Fuck, how am I supposed to go out? Aaaaaaah fuck ' he thought as his face distorted in a deep frown.

He bit his lip and clenched his fist tightly, the colour of the liquid around him had his blood mixed in it. After two hours, the pain had increased so much that, it felt as if someone had thrown acid on him.

The liquid was becoming more and more purple, one second all of his skin was destroyed leaving him wreathing in pain and in the next moment a new layer of skin formed over his body.

' Dadddddd, what kind of sick joke is this? If you don't bring me out right now, I'm going to- ughhhhhhh fucking hell '

Three hours passed, and Derek still held on trying not to pass out because of the intense pain. The fluid was stinging like needles, like countless needles were piercing his skin.

After an unknown period of time, Derek couldn't even feel pain anymore, his mind was a mess and he failed to form even a single thought. To stay awake, he tried talking to Kal.

' Hey kal, how ya doin? '

[ Great as always, but it seems I can't say the same for you. ]

' Fufu, I feel even more shitty than when I broke up. Also, with this training will my power seals open normally or will they be affected by this game thing. ' he asked, as his body itched all over.

[ Yup, it won't be the same. If you could perfectly complete your father's training then all your stats will increase significantly. ]

' Sounds fair, I guess I'll just have to try my bes- mmmmmm '

Derek slowly felt his consciousness drifting away, no matter how hard he tried, his mind couldn't help but fell into deep sleep. All his thoughts were soon drowned under the thick veil of darkness.

After a long time, Derek felt warmth return to his body, his body was no longer hurting. As his consciousness returned, Derek slowly opened his eyes and saw the familiar three moons in the sky.

He sat up and found himself covered by a blanket, his father was sitting near him. Derek's clothes were still drenched, he couldn't tell what had changed about him, but he certainly felt a little different.

" You're awake? How are you feeling, does your body still hurts? " Kyle asked, noticing Derek's movements.

" Dad, I trusted you, but y- you broke the bro code. You could have at least warned me. " Derek said.
