"Kairan: Surviving in the Modern World" CHAPTER 15

Today is the day I'm getting ready for my first experience as a college student. I'm nervous but more than excited.

"Milady always remember that don't smile to anyone no matter what, for sure they will feel intimidated with you" – Sarah

I pouted on what Sarah said. I know that I have this beautiful face, but I don't know why every time I try to make a friendly smile it goes in another way, instead of being mesmerized they get scared, like I'm beautiful but not when I smile and it kinda sucks.

"Why?! I'm pretty you know"

"That's the reason why"

Sarah said something but I didn't hear it.

"What? Repeat it"

I said but she just shrugged her shoulders and continued fixing my hair.

"Milady your breakfast is ready, you should eat first before you leave"

It was Chiki who entered the room. Sarah told me that she's done with my hair so I stood up and looked at myself in this huge mirror.

I'm wearing a black skinny jeans, black turtleneck and light pink blazer, I'm also wearing black stilettos and my hair is in a ponytail. This outfit was personally picked by Sarah and it turned out pretty well on me.

The three of us leave the room and head to the kitchen wherein three plates are on the table. We've always been like this since that day, I smiled and sat down to start eating my delicious breakfast.

"Chiki be careful while driving"

Sarah said waving goodbye, we're leaving.

"Do you think I should learn how to drive a car?"

I asked Chiki but my eyes remained looking outside.

"Ah—that's—my lady before the accident you doesn't like driving cars but you have  a motorbike and maybe your body can somehow remember it, but if you want to learn driving cars I'll teach you" – Chiki

"That was me in the past but now I want to learn a lot of things, by the way, what is motorbike?"

"I will show it you later my lady, after your class I'm going to pick you up"

She looked at me in the rear mirror and smiled. I just answer her okay and the rest of the time we remain in silence. I'm busy browsing on my phone when Chiki said that we had already arrived at Athena. I think we only took half an hour, unlike the first time we came here.

I waited until Chiki left before taking my way to the second building at the east wing of the campus. Students both male and female started staring at me while walking, some of them stopped talking and focused on looking at me.

Based on my schedule/information my room was on the top floor '5th floor' the last room on the left side, my class is called Class-9E, I'm a little curious and suspicious but never mind.

I arrived on the 4th floor, walking on the corridor to reach the stairs up to the top floor but students started whispering and staring and some of them avoided me like I have some kind of contagious disease, what's wrong with them?

AHH- do I unconsciously smile? Sarah told me that to smile because I look to intimidating, I was spaced out walking on the 5th floors corridor when I notice that students on the hallway is too—

"Miss, I think you lost your way"

A guy approaches me, he looks savage and brutal but he actually has a soft voice that is pleasing to my ears.

"No"

I answer with my usual voice and planning to continue my walk when he asked me again—

"Would you mind showing your schedule sheet to me?"

He said again, and not gonna lie, his voice is too polite for his aura. I just hand over the sheet to him after reading it his eyes widen for a second. I see it and that's adorable.

"This is the first time—"

He said in a loud and excited voice, he give back to me my schedule sheet and said that he'll escort me to my room, I didn't bother to refuse I don't see any harm on escorting me so I just follow him, at the end of the hallway a room with a drastic noise suddenly gone quiet when the door opened with a loud impact.

Everyone in that room was staring at us, no- to be exact they're staring at me who just entered the room. The guy stood in the front and looked at me telling me to stay for a while using his gaze so I did.

"After centuries we can finally have our own Queen"

He paused and looked at me, so everyone did.

"The first and only girl in our section"

  He continued and lost his cool but all of them stayed in silence and looked confused, and so I am too.

"Baal, you sure that this delicate lady here is now part of our class?"

One of them asked and everyone agreed with him. The guy was planning to explain but I cut him off by raising my hand before he could speak. He looked at me and nodded, I stepped forward and stared at them coldly.

"I'm Kairen Sai and I'm sure that this is my class, here the schedule sheet it's written there"

I waved the sheet and the guy who said that I was a delicate lady asked for permission to see it so I gave it to him and like this guy behind me he looked surprised and passed the piece of sheet one after another.

After a second or two everyone is still speechless until—

"The first Queen of Class-9E after centuries"

He said that was the reason every guy in this room went wild and made drastic noises again. They start cheering for me when the door slams again in a loud impact. I looked at who did that and I saw a guy with golden hair and light purple eyes.

I didn't notice that my face looked disgusted the moment I saw his face. He walked towards where I am and stopped a few steps away in front of me.

"Did you miss me Kairen?"

He said and tried to reach my shoulders but before he could do that I slap his hand and look at him with a displeased reaction.

"Don't be like that"

He said and diverted his attention to the whole class.

"I'm Ash Hale and this girl is my fiancée, this is a warning for all of you, watch your actions"

His voice was threatening but the students looked pissed because of what he said, especially this guy standing beside me.

"Stop announcing that we're engaged it's disgusting to hear"

I start finding a good spot where I can sit and fortunately it is already taken. I'm planning to continue my walk to find another one but the guy who's sitting on the 4th row near the window grabbed my arms and said that I can sit there. I asked him if that's fine with him and he answered me 'don't make it a big deal it's just a chair' and smiled at me. Now that I think about it, most of them looked savage but they were actually handsome and cute or it's just me who thinks like that?

I sit on the edge of the table and stare at Ash who is currently looking at the guy who gave up his spot for me, but Ash suddenly starts to yell.

"I told you to be careful with your actions and yet you dare to grab her like that?"

Ash said while getting his way to that guy. Why is he so immature?

"But she doesn't give a shit about you"

The guy said and sat down two tables away from me, everyone started to laugh and Ash's face turned red and he looked really pissed. Ash grabs his collar and stares seriously at him after the intense staring at each other Ash raises his fist planning to punch the guy.

"Stop being brat"

I said, staring at Ash and he also looked at me furiously.

"We're engaged but we're not lovers"

Ash's face looked disappointed, I finally reached them, I asked him to let go of the guy so he did while still staring at me like a puppy. What's wrong with this guy?

"Like what I said we're not lovers so stop acting like we are, I don't need you"

I said and turned my attention to the guy and asked his name.

"I'm Xebec Montero"

"Thank you"

I said and left both of them but Ash started to follow me. I didn't bother to ask why or give him attention. I just sit and stare outside of the window where I see other students walking, then the guy who guided me here approaches me again.

"I forgot to introduce myself I am Baal Gastino, also the in charge handling the Class-9E"

I extend my hand and he looks at it for a while but immediately grabs it to make a formal handshake. I say my name again before letting it go.

"Thank you"

"Welcome to our class Queen of Class-9E"

And again all of them are cheering and shouting my name and saying that they finally got their first Queen.
