Surviving In A Yandere Academy

Tenji is a young professor in Erīto, a prestigious sorcery academy in Meiji. As the only male among the professors, he receives disturbing attention from the female students and faculty members. He is known for turning down proposals from them, and in a bid to ease the situation, he strikes a deal with the headmistress. The headmistress entrusts him with a journal written in a foreign language that belonged to a dead transmigrator, an ancient sorcerer. Using his knowledge of the language acquired from his late grandfather and further research, he discovers a great enemy that threatens to break free from its thousand-year-old seal, which has started to weaken. Tenji realizes that he cannot carry the burden alone without the risk of losing control in the process and decides to train the students in the academy so they can defeat the enemy. However, he needs to find a driving goal for his selected yandere students, who have innocent looks that can fool anyone. Is it lovestruck? blood? justice? freedom? devotion? delusion? As Tenji trains his students and uncovers more information about the enemy, he realizes that this is not just a battle for their lives, but for the fate of the entire world. With his knowledge, skills, and the support of his students, Tenji and his students embarks on a dangerous and thrilling journey that will test their abilities and his will to stay in control of the darkness within. ***** Cover doesn't belong to me, just the text. ***** Discord server https://discord.gg/WfpwFGrcsN ***** NO HAREM, yandere, magic, superpowers, mystery, gore, OP teacher, Teacher MC, darkness...

Maintain a hold on that thing in you

Shaking her head, Maiyu cleared her throat and chose to ignore his words.

Too embarrassed to go ahead with the discussion.

Steering the conversation in another direction, she sat on the chair and steepled her fingers.

"What the heck are you doing in my home, you son of–"

"...the Hisato family." Kenji immediately cut in with a broad smile.

Getting onto the very chair Maiyu sat on, she had to scoot over to her left.

Tenji crouched over, getting accustomed to the slight pain which began to normalize. "I know you had misunderstood my intentions."

Maiyu raised her brows to his words, folding her arms. "Is that so? What could I possibly have misunderstood?"

"The healing bay..." His voice broke off as he held Maiyu's wavering gaze at the mention of that dreadful place.

"There... isn't any reason I should be worried about that, you aren't accountable to me and you have made it clear on your new morals," Maiyu muttered.

"She isn't a minor so why should I–"

"Would you just bury that idea?" Tenji interjected, clicking his tongue with slight irritation.

As much as he wanted to speak on the fact that he couldn't date Rumi–she was an unpredictable outgrowth meant to be monitored.

Stunned by his outburst, Maiyu's lips drew into a thin line as she looked elsewhere in embarrassment.

Pushing back strands of hair behind her ear, she got to her feet and walked up to her refrigerator.

Pulling the door open, she picked out a chilled canned drink.

Opening and gulping it down in one go, much to the horror of Tenji.

Turning around to face him once more, she had nonchalant eyes fixated on him, "do you want some?"

Shaking his head, he felt uneasy by her demeanor.

"I just needed to know if you were doing alright, and since that's been confirmed, I'm more than glad it's over," Tenji emphasized with a smile.

Narrowing her eyes to Tenji's words, she had wanted to question him on so many questions bothering her but fell silent at the last minute.

"I'm fine, as you can see." Maiyu shrugged, slamming the door to the refrigerator.

The uneasiness that had prevailed earlier began to grow with the deafening silence.

None knew what to say to the other.

"How far have you gone with deciphering the journal?"

Getting to his feet, Tenji took three steps back and towards the exit door, "I'd rather focus on that when we meet up as scheduled tomorrow. We have lots of free time during that day."

Rolling her eyes to his implied words, she taunted. "Let me guess, you've not been able to decipher what message the journal possesses, let alone get another page open."

Feeling as though his hard work was threatened, he stilled and was defensive of his skills. "There is no one in all of Meiji who can go at my pace, nor have the ancient knowledge passed onto me by my grandfather be known by another without me doing so."

Maiyu scrunched up her nose, "self-conceited jerk!"

"Thank you." Shrugging to her comment and giving a light chuckle, Tenji took more steps back until he was at the door.

"I am sorry for not listening to you," he muttered as he unlocked the door.

He had been so confident in his ability to control his emotions, that he had failed to see the signs of losing himself gradually.

"There's no need to be sorry," Maiyu gave an eye shut smile.

Persistent in blaming himself for Maiyu's predicament, he continued. "It's because of me that you had lost a 50 grade score from your mana reserve."

Maiyu let out a chuckle, "that's just a fifth of my total grade score."

"Yet you passed out after using your forbidden spell," Tenji spoke out with a grim demeanor.

He had realized he wouldn't be able to forgive himself if she had suffered damage to her cultivation because of his stupidity and dangerous outburst.

Cross-popping veins made their way to her forehead as did her fists clench at the reminder of what she had sacrificed.

"Maintain your hold on that thing in your subconscious, that's all I need to be sure we're all safe." She reprimanded.

Stepping out using a backward movement, Tenji gave a slight bow as he prepared to exit.

"I don't think I'm a threat to anyone, we got the sorcerer supreme making sure of that." Tenji joked with a wink.

"Even the sorcerer supreme has a limit to the likes of you." Maiyu countered, shaking her head.

Shrugging with a smile, Kenji wittingly replied, "what can I say? I have connections to last a lifetime."

Scoffing, Maiyu tried her best to hold a stern and uninterested face but failed with a chuckle escaping.

Needing to scare him off, she brought up the issue of Tenji's parents. "I wonder, what do you think Mr. and Mrs. Hisato would think about their living room being trashed and their precious daughter put in danger?"

Tenji flinched and was thrown into a panic, "fuck!! fuck!!!"

He had forgotten his parents would be back from their task given to them by the elders.

'I'm so dead, especially from my mother?' Tenji grimaced at the thought of witnessing her reaction.

Stifling a laugh, Maiyu couldn't come to terms on how someone so powerful could cower with uneasiness at the mention of his parents.

Sprinting out, Tenji screeched to a stop and looked behind him. "I'm sorry I need to leave and settle some issues. Till tomorrow, take care of yourself."

As soon as he crossed the barrier set by Maiyu, he made a few adjustments to the formation, with his hands covered in a green glow.

'This should be a better protection for her.' Tenji had a satisfying smile.

The once invisible barrier became visible with a green glow before reverting to its invisible state.

Nodding to his adjustment, he waved a final goodbye.

Maiyu stood by the threshold, with a shake of her head at how disastrous his situation might be when he got home.

At Tenji's home,

Huff!

Huff!

Tenji highlighted the vehicle and thanked the driver for the consideration of his situation.

Everyone knew the temperament of his parents in their respective lines of work.

With his father having served in the military for the time, it was a rare and dangerous field very little dared venturing into or could even be part of the shortlisted.

His mother on the other hand was the chief of the security agency before it was disbanded due to the relative peace in the city and all neighboring ones.

He stared at his feet for a while, gulping and unsure of what he would face at the other side of the door.

Reluctantly, he raised his hand, ready to make a knock on the door.

Before he could, the door flew open, much to his horror as it only confirmed they had been waiting and were aware of his presence.

Still, on the front porch, he stood awkwardly like a toddler caught red-handed with his hands dipped in a cookie jar.

"Mother! Father!" Tenji exclaimed with heavy exaggeration, looking to his left, then to his right.

A dreadful feeling overcame his senses when they gave no response to his forced excitement at their early arrival.
