Ch 1 - Finding Myself in a Novel.

A dark room, only dimly lit by the screen of a computer. One can faintly hear the sound of mouse clicking from time to time.

Sat in front of the computer was a young teenager who looked barely over 18. His features mostly cover by the dark of the night. The computer screen filled with long lines of words.

Eric quickly kicked Adrian's abdomen sending him flying back.

Adrian flung back readied himself to counterattack, taking on a battle stance his sword securely by his side he yelled,

"2nd Art: Sword of Promised Victory!"

"Ahh~"

I stretch my arms up in the air leaning back into my chair.

'It's about time I head to bed.'

I quickly shut off my computer and start walking to the bed, though I almost tripped over an extension cord.

I collapse onto my bed.

'I swear I'll find a job tomorrow.'

"Haa..."

I cover my eyes with my hands brushing down my cheeks I subconsciously let out a sigh.

'I really need some sleep.'

*********

"Hmm?"

'The feelings of a keyboard? I don't remember sleeping at my desk. Man... I really need a better lifestyle.'

I slowly rise from my keyboard wiping off any drool I might have left in my sleep.

Opening my eyes...

I see nothing, the lights are still off.

I quickly type in my password turning on my computer as well as getting blinded in return.

"Hmm?"

There was a message on the computer reading out

Welcome to the, "Epic of the Martial God.

"Hmm?"

My half-asleep self didn't even realize the context of the message, quickly closing the message I open up my browser, the one and only, "Microsoft Edge."

As I look at the opening page what catches my attention the most is the news.

"Hmm? "A new S - Rank Realm discovered in Mexico! The end of the world as we know it?"

'Realm? Isn't that from that novel?'

My mind quickly flashes to the earlier message.

"Ah."

I slowly get up from my chair walking around once again in the dark.

'Yep, as I thought this isn't my room. I didn't trip on any extension cords.'

I walk around aimlessly feeling the walls looking for a light switch.

'There we are.'

I flip the light switch to see...

Nothing again. My eyes aren't used to the light yet still.

I open my eyes to see...

A room. It didn't have much furniture just a simple desk and a bed.

There was a door at the end of the wall to my left.

'Since this is the novel world, I'll assume that's the bathroom. So, the other door should lead to the rest of the dorm room.'

I turn to my right seeing a door right next to me. I quickly turn the knob.

'Just as I thought.'

The room is exactly the same as described in the novel.

The dorm room it consisted of a small kitchen area followed by a simple living room. As well as the bedroom which lead to the bathroom.

I look around in wonder. Quickly accepting the fact, I just transmigrated. I mean I've read thousands of novels just like this.

I look down at my clothes. I was wearing a simple white T-shirt and a pair of brown shorts.

'I'm quite a bit taller than my past self. That must mean I'm in a different body. Freedom from the short life. I'm also quite muscular.'

I walk over to the fridge to see if there was anything the previous owner left for me.

Thud!

A resounding thud echos throughout the room, the source?

Well of course it's me.

A body laid collapsed on the flood. He had short grayish white hair, even on the floor he looked quite charming. His pale glossy white skin that seemed to glow with the light of the rising sun reflecting on him.

He was also slowly losing consciousness...

*********

I looked around a dark grassy plain, the melody of crows chirping in the distance.

The trees around were all dead and the song of the crows grew louder.

I look downed, I was kneeling?

"You may raise your head."

A soft, comforting voice attacked my ears. The voice it seemed like it had been blessed by the gods even a lie spoken in such a voice would be deemed as truth.

I raised by head as the voice instructed me to...

An old man with an eyepatch stood before me resting on his throne.

He held a spear in one hand and two crows sat on both his sides

and his voice as soft as an angel.

"Who are you?"

I couldn't help, but wonder.

I've never seen such a figure and I wasn't that big of a mythology fan. My knowledge mainly just coming from this novel.

"Boy."

The soft voice once again resounded throughout the plains.

"I am Odin! The All Father."

My eyes widen due to shock.

I couldn't help but inwardly chuckle.

'I guess this is what you call plot armor. Is this what it feels to be a protagonist?'
