Note: Cover picture is not mine, if the creator of this picture wants it to be taken down just message me. (Author's warning; This novel might be quite graphic in words as I would use curse words without mellowing it down. Possible R-18 in the future with some degenerate stuff too and a little bit of gory bits too so if this is not your cup of tea then don't read this. Might do also include Fan fic elements but we'll see how I develope this.)

Brad looked at the large amount of dead coyotes that were already gutted by him, he knew he could keep the boars in the caves where he designed into a pig pen. He had made a small hole connected to another room where he could throw some food and water for the two boars.

The small one was left on another room where he would try to raise as his own pet, pigs were said to be smarter that dogs so Brad hoped he could have a companion. It would look badass if he rode a large boar to hunt later.

Brad carried the meat he picked to hang dry while the innards were thrown to the boar pen which was full of thuds as the two boars tried to find some ways out, they did try to dig out but the cave walls were tough. Brad was bare able to do so using the pointy end of Robert's Hammer by swinging with his full strength.

The boars calmed down soon enough as he head then chow down on the innards he threw in. He also brought a small bowl with blood and meat chunk to give to the piglet. Brad placed a wooden rack at his bedroom as it was the only place that receives sunlight. He also lit a powdered bark of a minty type of tree bark he found, it seemed to be good as insecticide too.

After hanging the meat, Brad went down again bringing the bowl to a cave room near the entrance of the pathway.

"Hello my little porkchop, don't be scared I won't eat you!" Brad smiled but the piglet ran around the room scared and confused squeeling for help but it's voice can't be heard outside and it's scent gone as Brad bathed it thoroughly. Brad went and caught the piglet then sat down as the piglet stopped moving due to fear.

"Don't worry, I'm just here to feed ya." Brad placed the bowl of blood and meat on the snout of the piglet. It sniffed the bowl first as tried to see if it is food, it might be scared but it is still a newborn boar. Brad couldn't get milk but he thought that since these boars had eaten meat.

The piglet sniffed started to drink on the bowl, Brad carefully place the piglet down and the bowl to let it eat in peace. Brad just sat there contemplating on what happened earlier this day. He knew he was not that brave or bloodthirsty and he sure would have a standoff with a large pack like that.

Maybe it is the effect of the two herbs burned together if they are taken in with small quantities, It was like an excitement pill but won't make you horny but brave and fearless as the Hypnoshroom reduces you instincts in identifying danger.

Brad thuoght maybe it was the residual smoke left in the burrow when he entered and took effect only when he started to run as his heart rate increased while running. This stuff could be useful if used on the right occasions, Brad felt he must try to experiment on the various combine effects of the herbs later.

But what baffles him is the yellow light that covered him when he made that challenge towards the Coyote leader, he was not sure what it was but it might have relations at the weird pearl he found near the heart of the beast when he was gutting them earlier. It reminded him of the yellow stone he picked before, maybe that one was from the wyvern when it died.

Brad was woken up from his reverie when he felt something rub on his feet, he looked down and saw the piglet snuggling at him like it felt satisfied with it's meal. It didn't show any signs of being alert to him at all like what it did earlier, one meal and it bought the piglet already.

"Such is the innocence of a child, you really felt at home once a stranger gave you food huh?" Brad bent down and picked the piglet up to his arms. The piglet looked at who it is but it saw it was the two legged thing that gave him food, it went back to sleeping.

"You really remind me of who I was, haha. You'll be named Bread, cause all you remind me of is food." Brad walked down and realized it was quite in the pathway, maybe the boars slept after eating.

"Damn, even you kind is lazy huh?" Brad went to the basement where he washed the piglet, which woke up and started to drink water from the stream.

"We'll be together for a long time kid, wish there were humans here in this world too. Maybe there are but I'm just too far away, too far away cause the humans can't live in this dangerous environment. Let's hope the distance is something we could look for in our lifetime." Brad brought the piglet up to his bedroom which the little one really liked.

It immediately fell asleep when it lied down on one of the pillows, Brad smiled as he looked at the piglet. He might eat the kind of this pig but he felt that having Bread would make him feel some sort of affection towards something.

Being alone in this unforgiving world might be unbearable, it won't hurt to have a companion on the journey. At least he felt assured that he is not the weakest of the inhabitants of this forest anymore.
