In the later part of the novel, when Ran was free from his act as the villain, and the heroines started liking him even more.....

Xin became so jealous of him that he decided to ask help from Black Odyssey.....saying that the man named, Jiang Ran is getting in his way of seducing Jia Li...

So, the black Odyssey's boss, sends his best men to kill Ran.....

at that time, Ran was hanging out with Jia Li....when both of them were attacked.

the plan was simple, the Assassins will kill Ran and then Xin will come and save Jia Li.

according to Xin, Jia Li will be sad for some time.....but soon she will forget about Ran and fall for him instead.

that was one of those moments when Xin became the most hated character of all time.

well anyways...what happened next was, one of the most epic entrance of all time.

the man, the myth, the legend!! Meng Tai Long showed up and saves both Ran and Jia Li.

he was also one of the strongest characters in the novel.

when Ran asked him why he helped them, he answered in his deep husky voice.

" I once had a daughter.....if she would've been alive, she would've been your friends age.... that's all!!"

he says that....but he genuinely wanted to help both of them but he didn't lie about his daughter.

he lost his daughter to the Black Odyssey, and since then he swore to always protect people from Black Odyssey and full fill his vengeance.

"and he's the man we need.."

I said as I punched a thug on his face...

and with that I disappeared in the shadows.

after a long night, I finally went to bed and soon woke up and get dressed as Little Mei's bodyguard.

"big brother Xin!! you look really dozy!!"

as expected from her, she can easily notice any small change.

" don't worry Little Mei, big brother is just a little tired..... that's all"

as I followed system's said direction, I found some thugs inside and all of them had the BO symbol... but before I could go near... someone else attacked them...

<host!! look maybe he's here!!>

as I went near the building where those Black Odyssey thugs were, I realised the person that jumped in to fight these guys wasn't the one we were looking for, but he was not a stranger either.....

<host..... that's!!>

"right....that's Ran!!"

he was in his White knight outfit, fighting with these thugs but soon he started to get overwhelmed by numbers and soon I decided to intervene.

"need some help!!"

I said as I grabbed a thug's head from behind and slammed his face on the ground.

"you.....who are you??"

"me...?"

I said as I then used my back kick to knock out another thug..

"I think we'll have enough time for introductions...but first... let's finish these guys off.."

he also kicked at a thug's face and knock him out.

"agreed.."

After that we both started beating the crap out of all the thugs....

"you're quite good at this."

I said as I was punching the enemy's face repeatedly.

"I can say the same for you."

he said as he smashed another thug's face with his knee.

finally we took down all the thugs and tied them up.

I move my hand towards him, inviting him for a fist bump, and this guy passed the vibe check.

"nice!"

we both said...

after some time.....

"so... I informed the officials about this, the police should be coming any time soon."

Ran.....or should I say White knight said to me.

"hmm"

I nodded in response, as I was now checking the stolen goods....and finally I said..

"hey.... aren't they?"

"they're the items that'll be used on an auction next month..."

he answered as he picked up the moon splitter staff...in the original novel, Xin wanted it ....but to me, it was of no use...

after we both discussed a little about why they would steal the auction goods..... Ran said..

"I'm White Knight..."

I looked at him for a second, then I realised we never really told each other our names...and to think we've been discussing things with each other...

"well ... I'm Grey Knight.."

he looked at me in a strange way and said...

"wow... you're sense of naming is..... pretty unique.."

<host.... I'll have to agree with him on this...>

'shut up system..'

"well...now that we had done the introductions...."

I looked outside and noticed the cops finally arriving.

"let's move out from here..."

and with that we both got out of there.....

after some time, we both stopped at the roof of a building.....

"so ... White Knight, you're saying you attacked them because according to you, someone informed you about how a group of thugs stole the auction items?"

"yes...but I can't disclose about the informant."

"I know I know...anyways... I think I should get going.."

"yeah....me too.."

after a little awkward silence, I finally decided to speak again..

"so.... White Knight.....wanna do this again?"

".... I don't know..... I like doing things alone...."

he stopped for a moment then speak again..

"...but if in future I ever need help, I'll make sure to ask you for it...."

"sure!! you'll find me here at night..."

after that we both said goodbye to each other and went to our different paths...

well in the end the person I was looking for wasn't found.....but atleast now I have a partner in crime...cons, he's my nemesis.

"well atleast things can't get more hectic than this.....can it?"

atleast that's what I thought... but oh boy.. how wrong I was....

I don't get it.....why is he acting like that.....that boy...he had one job....to seduce the daughter of Zhen family..

but....not once did he followed the plan....instead he started doing the opposite.... I hate to admit it but I think I'll have to kill him....

"what do you think what should we do with him, huh reaper?"

infront of me was one of my most trusted subordinate...reaper....an assassin with a mask...

"you can leave it to me, master!"

I don't know why but when it comes to killing Xin, reaper is always the one to volunteer....

"no..... we're not going to kill him.... we're going to take him here and question him....but if he had truly betrayed us .....then I'll make sure to let him know what happens when you betray the Black Odyssey..."
