A Little Misunderstanding

(Jia Li's POV)

I was waiting for Xin and Ran to enter the meeting room, so that I could execute my plan but no one came and the meeting ended successfully..

after everyone left, I was the only one sitting inside the room....still waiting for them...

After some time I heard a knock....it was Xin..

AND HE HAD BLOOD ON HIS CLOTHES!!

"wha.....what??"

"oh!! sorry Miss Zhen you had to witness this.... don't worry, I'll make sure to clean this up."

he said as he poked some of the bloodstains with his finger...THEN HE LICKED IT!! THIS MONSTER!!

"how could you....."

I said in a low voice.....

"huh? did you say something Miss Zhen?"

this time I couldn't control my anger and burst out...

"how could you kill him!! you fucking BASTARD!!"

"wha...WHAT???"

he was startled by my outburst but I didn't stop and walk close to him.

In anger, I started hitting his chest while crying ugly.....

"how could you!! how could you do this!!"

I don't know how ugly I was looking while crying.....maybe a lot....but I didn't care, who I cared for was no longer in this world!!

"if he's not in this world!! there's no reason for me to be here as well!!"

"Miss... Miss Zhen.....MISS ZHEN CONTROL YOURSELF!!"

Xin grabbed my shoulders and stopped me..... I felt powerless.....my hands had already lost all power by hitting him ...all I could do was glare at him....glare at him with anger...

but soon, someone else came in....

"Mr. Xin, here! I found an extra shirt....WAIT DIRECTOR!!"

"eh..... you're... you're Tao Rin.....*sniff* the senior sales manager...what are you doing here??"

I said as my eyes have finally swollen from crying...

"um..... I was giving Mr. Xin an extra shirt since his shirt got tomato ketchup strains because of me....."

then she looked at both of us in a weird way...and said...

"....but what are you doing director Zhen...."

before I could say anything, Xin said in my stead...

"oh... it's nothing.... Miss Zhen got a little too embarrassed by the ruckus her fiance caused and felt guilty for putting her employees in such a difficult situation...a little too much that she started crying and I had to support her.... isn't that right miss Zhen?"

my voice was hoarse from crying, so all I did was nod at this.

"oh... I see....*sniff* I can't believe you had to deal with this kind of man all the time director!!!*

and with that senior manager also started hugging Jia Li..

after this chaotic day, as I was returning with Xin....to my mansion...

"....."

none of us were talking.

"....how coulD you kill him!! you fucking BASTARD!!"

"stop it..."

"how could you!! how could you do this!!"

he said while acting as if he was hitting in the air with his one hand, while driving with the other.

"I said stop..."

"..."

"..."

"if he's not in this world!! there's no reason for me to be here as well!!"

"I'M SORRY OKAY!!! SO PLEASE STOP!!"

"HAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAH"

"argh!!!....fine do whatever you want!!"

after a while it finally looked like he stopped...

"haha... I...haha.... I'm sorry..... I'm sorry it's just....pft!!!"

I got a little too embarrassed that I hide my face with my handbag....

"alright...now....now I'll stop.....pft!!! hahahahahahaha!!"

after laughing like that for half the ride, Xin finally calm down....

"alright alright.... I'm sorry...it was just too funny..."

before he could say anything else, I said...

"I thought you killed him...."

"hmm....who?"

he asked in an innocent voice but there was still a smile on his face...

"don't play dumb!! I said I thought you killed my fiance, that's why I cried!!"

"hoho... I thought he was a good for nothing guy.....what happened then?"

look at this guy!! still making fun of me.... after some time he made a soft expression and said..

"first of all I wouldn't kill Jiang Ran, even in my dreams....his father is my friend...what am I gonna tell him? that I accidentally killed your son please forgive me?"

"Then how did you handle him.... I mean Ran?"

"oh...about that...well"

"yes?"

"I asked him to leave or else I'll have to take drastic measures..."

"and he refused.."

"yeah so..."

"so you punched him?"

" what?? no way!!"

"then you kicked him on his butt?"

"aren't you having a little too much fun in guessing how I handled the situation?"

"I mean, I know Ran....he never listens to anyone!!"

"are you sure?"

" then I take it, you refuse to leave?"

"ARE YOU DEAF!! I SAID I'M ONLY GOING AFTER MEETING WITH MY FIANCEE!!"

"then you leave me no choice Mr. Jiang Ran..."

I said as I took my phone out and called Mr. Jiang...

"hey!! what?? who are you calling??"

after a second, Mr. Jiang picked up...

"oh hello Mr. Jiang."

hearing that name, Ran startled..... maybe he wasn't expecting Xin to use his brain instead of brawn.

[oh Xin, my friend! I wasn't expecting a call from you at all....is everything okay?]

"oh nothing, I'm fine Mr. Jiang.... it's just well....your son.."

[hmm.. what of my son?]

"your son is causing trouble at Miss Zhen's company..... I already tried to ask him to leave but he said he's not going unless he meets Miss Zhen.."

[but isn't Jia Li having a very important meeting]

he then took a deep sigh.

[um.... Xin, can you let me talk to my son for a minute.]

"sure sir."

(Jia Li's POV)

"after that I gave Ran my phone, he must have heard a lot from his father, since he immediately ran away...with my phone of course....if you ever go a date with him...can you please ask him to give me back my phone."

"wait....then how come you got all that Tomato ketchup on your clothes!"

"well about that...."

(another flashback)

after Mr Jiang Ran went away....your senior manager Tao Rin, said she wants to give me a treat as a thank you ... I told her that she didn't have to....but she insisted.

then I finally agreed but also said that I won't be eating anything too expensive, a cheese burger will do!

so we went to the cafeteria....and she ordered two cheese burgers.

as I was about eat mine, she asked me if I want have some tomato ketchup... I said sure....

(Jia Li's POV)

"oh....so she accidentally splattered the whole ketchup bottle on you!!"

"correct."

"...pft!! hahahahahahaha "

"wow.....look at you, laughing at you poor bodyguard..."

and before I knew it, we were already at the mansion....

"um.... Xin?"

I said as I went close to him.

"yes Miss Zhen?"

"uh...can you.....can you not tell what happened at the meeting room to anyone...."

"hmm...let me think?"

he said as he made a thinking pose...

"fine I won't..... except Mr Zhen.."

"especially not him!!"

"haha what of it? if anything, he'll be glad that his daughter was finally ready to marry his choice of groom."

".... you're making fun of me again, right?"

"um.... yes?"

with that I hit him with my handbag and stormed out of the car....still hearing him laugh....then he finally stopped.

" by the way, Miss Zhen?"

"what is it now?? wanna make more fun of me??"

"no, it's just I wouldn't be able to tell anyone from your family about what happened in the first place.."

I stopped on my tracks....

"what do you mean?"

"I mean .....today was my last day at this job.. remember.."
