Enemy Camp

After lunch, he and Nore started planning everything to leave tomorrow morning since it was far away, and he didn't want to miss the chance to summon new units, you never know when an elite unit will emerge. That's why Theo didn't want to miss any chance to summon, he would even like to know which units the group could summon and perhaps keep one of them.

Having more summons per day would be a benefit that would greatly help in their development, especially if these units did not need to eat or drink. So were his undead, but he knew that the chances of another such unit appearing in the same region were almost nil. Whoever made this killer game wouldn't put two identical units in the same region, as that would be like telling them to unite or kill each other.

If these two players teamed up, they would have control of almost an entire region in a short time, as their units would not get tired and could search and attack all the camps without pausing. That was Theo's opinion on the matter, so he couldn't say for sure that there wasn't another player with undead units.

When night arrived, everything was already set and ready, they would leave as soon as the sun rose to have the chance to return before the end of the day if everything went according to plan. He would send Amethyst and the ghosts first, followed by the skeletons and zombies, the ghosts' job was to sneakily kill as many units as they could before they were discovered.

Theo and Copper took a shower together and then went to sleep, now he had already realized that Copper was growing at an accelerated pace whenever she killed something. So now that he had his own bed made of fur, Theo could no longer share his bed with him, as he didn't know when his partner would wake up bigger than the bed and himself.

The next morning he got up excited, if everything went well, he would have new trainable units today by the end of the day. Also, new subordinates and perhaps a new military building to recruit units, all of this could happen today, which made him excited.

So he did his morning ritual, this time getting two new ghosts without any profession.

Theo was happy, with these two new units, he could cause chaos in the enemy camp, giving his skeletons more chances to attack with full force while everyone was panicking. Furthermore, these new skills are really cool and useful for both camp protection and attacks. He had already thought of a way to use the ghosts' haunting ability, making a trap around the camp that would ward off intruders who got too close.

It was something he would implement later in the camp, for sure, but now he had a group to try to defeat. He knew that the chances of victory were not the greatest, since the enemy had at least 5 military buildings. They were recruiting every day, and he didn't even know the amount summoned by each building, increasing the difficulty of the mission, but he had a plan for it.

He would try to use the woman who wanted to be rescued as an undercover agent who would take down his enemies from within. Of course, it wasn't entirely certain that it would work, as they might think he was there to do the same to them after helping them.

Nore approached at this time, breaking Theo from his thoughts about what to do during the attack, he then asked.

"Are you ready? Can we leave now?" She was anxious, and it reflected in his tone.

"Yes. We can go." He responded and ordered his units to head in the direction Nore had pointed out.

Theo discovered that she loved and worked with maps, and because of that, she was great with coordinates and could quickly figure out where the group was and in which direction they should go, as well as the distance. He rode Loki, while she had to walk there, or else he asked if one of the war wolves could carry her.

If she made the decision to ask for help, he wouldn't deny it, but he wouldn't offer it on his own. This was another test, to see if she would let her pride stop her from completing a mission, just so she wouldn't have to ask him for something. If so, he would let her handle simple forest data collection missions with Alika to create a map of the region they were in.

After a long time of walking, she finally gave up and asked him if she could be carried by one of the wolves, and with that, her movement speed increased a lot. Theo admitted that she could be a good ally if she could understand her position and start acting correctly, he had already said that she was a subordinate and not a slave. Still, she insisted on seeing herself as a prisoner who should not help her captor take more hostages, which was useless because this would happen whether she wanted it or not, with her help or not.

When the sun was already at its peak, marking noon, she warned that they should be close now. So Theo ordered his units to stop and for Amethyst and the ghosts to investigate the situation and see how far they really were. Amethyst returned and said that they were less than a kilometer from the camp and that they should stay there until it was time for the skeletons to attack. So that they would not be accidentally discovered by an enemy unit.

After that, they only needed to wait two hours until Amethyst gave the signal for the skeletons to attack, and with that, Theo and all her units attacked the camp. Nore was following Theo closely, as he was her best chance of coming out alive, she wasn't good at combat or magic and that left her very defenseless in this situation.

When they arrived at the group's camp, Theo could see the wooden fences that they had improvised, and he also saw the enemy units for the first time. There were a greater number of human warriors who seemed to be in a bad mood, than other units. He figured that the leader must be restricting the summons made by the others so that they wouldn't overtake him, and he would lose the lead.

The other units were all variations of warriors, all with humanoid shapes, that is, they needed to be fed, and based on the appearance and bad mood of the soldiers, the food was missing or was not being distributed correctly. After realizing that all the units here required care and food, Theo decided that he would not take any of them to his camp. He would stay with the new units that the men would become, and with the women that wanted to stay and be useful.
