Attack the Goblin Village

Once his clothes were dry, and he was eating his meal, his new unit returned and greeted him, then with a nod of acknowledgement, Theo let him recover his energy in the mausoleum for a while before receiving his report. This time he spent observing the stars in the sky of this new planet he found himself on. Despite being in a survival game in which many people had already died, and many still would, Theo was taking advantage of this period of protection in which he wouldn't need to worry, about attacks.

This would certainly change as soon as the barrier disappeared, and he would no longer have these moments of peace and relaxation. He would always be on alert and afraid of a possible attack, whether from humans, animals or other races existing here. An hour and a half after returning, the ghost left the mausoleum and came to give Theo his report, he began by giving a small bow to his master before saying.

"Sir, in my search I discovered some hideouts of beasts that due to the aura they emitted were too strong for us to attack now, but I also discovered a goblin village 800 meters east of our position. It's a small village and there must be at most 100 of them and there could be a wizard or a commander among them, as I noticed that they were much less savage than the goblins I met." This was the first news about monsters that Theo had heard so far.

"I also discovered that more than a kilometer to the north there is another clearing with a golden glow like this one. By orders from the Lord I did not leave the area of one kilometer and I only saw them when I flew high to have a view of what was beyond. If I may, sir. Would you like to go to that location in person to investigate further?" Amethyst asked permission.

"First, tomorrow, you will lead your companions to the goblin village and decimate them. We don't need them attacking us when the barrier falls. Only after that are you allowed to go investigate, but don't try to go through the barrier and observe from afar, remember what the units are like and what you are like. I want precise information on whether they have some kind of magical ability or something like that, you can come back whenever you need to recover energy. But we only have 3 days before the barrier disappears, and until then I need to know about this gentleman's strength, to attack him or make an alliance with him." Theo explained his orders before letting Amethyst leave and reunite with the skeletons.

Theo hadn't heard anyone talk about attacking creatures or even monsters like goblins, but of course, most were just leaving a few meters away from the barrier to avoid taking any risks. He would do the opposite, he would kill these goblins so that they would not come to attack him later with the powerful beasts that Amethyst encountered. These beasts could even be part of the disaster that would occur at the end of the second week.

Another thing that made him want to attack was the possible rewards it would give him, he imagined that the bodies of the goblins would not give any rewards, but they must have resources and treasures hidden in the village. Theo ordered his unit to bring everything here, anything that looked valuable and materials like stones, wood, iron should be the priority after the bodies of the dead.

Although he didn't think they would be useful, he still wanted to try collecting a corpse to be sure, besides, leaving the corpses there could attract more predators, or even cause disease if left to rot.

As the night darkened the forest more and more, Theo decided to go to sleep because tomorrow he had many trees to sell and build his wall. After he lay down and closed his eyes, he quickly fell asleep, when he opened them again it was daytime.

He washed up, had breakfast and then recruited his unit, only then did he allow Amethyst to leave with the higher level skeletons. The new unit was a skeleton warrior as well and would protect and assist him during the cutting down of trees until his other units returned.

Many of these messages appeared in succession in Theo's vision, and he had to turn them off, so he could continue his work cutting down the trees. It was already past noon when the skeletons started bringing back the bodies, when Theo checked the notifications he had received he was shocked.

Amethyst and Bones went up 2 levels each, while the others went up a level each, and their skeleton ranger had some extra experience after his level up.

Their levels were, Amethyst: 2, Bones: 4, Warrior 2: 3, Ranger: 3. With that, Theo knew that he had gained a lot of experience as well and had leveled up a few times, he quickly looked at his status.
