Survival Evolved: Incarnation

*ALL CHAPTERS ARE FREE* With little to no explanation for their wiped memory, several survivors, referred to as Arkians, wake up on a beach on what seems to be Earth. These survivors have many differences, but the most defining one is Sky; The one with a White Stone on the back of his left hand. What kind of journey will Sky undergo because of this White Stone? Survival Evolved is meant to take place through the eyes of a teenage boy (mainly), meaning that some things he doesn't pick up on or connect in his mind are done ON PURPOSE. 2. Survival Evolved often describes gore/wounds in a gruesome way. There are many scenes in which slavery, human trafficking, or torture are talked about, so read with caution!

Teamwork

--Belle's Perspective--

That sign... Boo's ready to make an attack.

We have to work together on this.

Purposefully taking up a ton of time in order to regain my body heat so I can use my ability more worked in my favor. I have to wait and see how Boo would engage... but Mitra looks ready to attack as well. Could he be creating an illusion?

So, I shouldn't wait for the first attack... I should wait for the second one...

I waited, staring at Illya while she was silently watching us all look at her. And faster than I realized, the first attack came in.

It was the most realistic illusion I've ever seen. Myth sent in a copy of Boo right behind Illya and it came running in with the katana raised above her head.

Illya swung her saber at the illusions chest and it immediately disappeared. As soon as the strands creating the illusion malformed and dispersed the entire thing, Illya turned around to see if Boo would attack her back...

But Boo thought that out.

I charged my ability, ready for anything as Boo tricked Illya. She came from the same direction as the illusion, to throw off Illya's thinking. Illya thought that Boo would come up behind her so she would be able to turn her body and defuse the attack, but Boo perfectly tricked Illya.

It was a well-thought-out strategy.

I used my ability to freeze Illya's feet to the ground as she turned around and Boo impaled her chest. Just as I imagined, and as I'm sure Boo also imagined, she didn't cut through any bone.

Illya didn't have a ribcage, and couldn't regenerate it anymore. That was our chance. Our glimmer of hope. This was possible!

After I froze Illya's ankles to the ground, Myth ran toward Illya's frontside and placed his hand on the metal, using its conductivity of it to amplify his ability to summon electricity. In addition to that usage of the ability, Alexia enlarged the size of the katana saber and it started to significantly damage Illya, frying her and causing her to spasm while holding onto her sabers.

Keep it going, Myth!

I summoned as many pillars of ice as I could around Illya and created tiny spears of ice that Alexia enlarged over time and dropped onto her perfectly without hurting Myth or Boo, who were both behind and in front of Illya to deal damage.

Before I knew it, Boo vanished with her ability, appeared in front of Illya's face, and slammed her foot so hard into it that it rang my ears with the sound of her skull breaking against Boo's foot.

She landed with a slide on the ground and summoned her weapon in hand again, watching Illya's position closely.

After Boo hit Illya with that attack, Myth grabbed onto Illya's knees and sent his ability through her again. Both Mitra and Boo came in with attacks that dug into Illya's collar bones and held it there while Alexia enlarged her saber as far as possible to slam it down onto Illya.

The hit connected and she was sent to the ground, lying there as if we were lucky enough to kill her. We all knew this wasn't the case and refused to let up on the amount of damage we were dealing with.

Boo repeatedly used her ability and velocity to send herself into Illya's body with her katana, cutting her limbs off and placing large slashes onto her body.

Illya finally showed a sign of retaliation by summoning those weird tentacles on her back, which grabbed onto Myth. Before they could actually lift him up and move them, I froze them in place with my ability.

My hair was pure white.

Any further with my ability and I would freeze to death almost instantly. I hit my limit, but not everybody else did!

I ran in with my saber, getting ready to defuse any retaliating attacks Illya might've had. She tried to swing at Mitra, but I blocked the hit and threw my saber into her arm, which pinned it to the ground while Alexia made her move.

She must've hit her limit, as she closed the distance and did the same thing to her opposite arm.

Once both of Illya's arms were stuck to the ground and Myth was holding her legs, Mitra took another swing at Illya's head, but she smiled, after taking all of this damage?!

"Don't hate me," Illya said.

She took one look at his arm, and her eyes shot out a golden color that almost made me puke from the pure intensity and pressure from them. I let go of her arm and she forced her way out of the pinned state she was in.

However... Alexia was still holding on. Illya grabbed onto her hair, and I fought back by pushing her elbow forward so she couldn't yank Alexia.

Boo cut off her arm and slammed her heel into the side of Illya's head, but Illya caught it, threw her into the ground, and pushed the ground up, which launched her a good distance away.

Illya grabbed me and threw me away as well.

And with my landing, I looked up and saw Illya slash downward, severing Mitra's left arm and throwing him right beside Boo, who was still about two-hundred feet away from me.

Myth used his ability to stop Illya and create distance, grouping with Alexia again.

"Good work! I'll have to admit, your teamwork started to scare me. It seems I had to bust out my one secret that I didn't want you guys to see in case it was an emergency, but I'll admit, I wasn't expecting you guys to work that well together. Such teamwork can only be shown off when there are all five of you, right? I wonder if Shike would've made it better. Or if... Myth was a key component to it." Illya said.

She walked over to Alexia and Myth, not speeding up nor slowing down... and not caring that Alexia was trying to attack her.
