Survival Evolved: Incarnation

*ALL CHAPTERS ARE FREE* With little to no explanation for their wiped memory, several survivors, referred to as Arkians, wake up on a beach on what seems to be Earth. These survivors have many differences, but the most defining one is Sky; The one with a White Stone on the back of his left hand. What kind of journey will Sky undergo because of this White Stone? Survival Evolved is meant to take place through the eyes of a teenage boy (mainly), meaning that some things he doesn't pick up on or connect in his mind are done ON PURPOSE. 2. Survival Evolved often describes gore/wounds in a gruesome way. There are many scenes in which slavery, human trafficking, or torture are talked about, so read with caution!

Ra's Observation

The four began to fight, charging in at each other, while Kire held his eyes in one position, getting ready to take a look at Alatus.

I could see the strands spiral in front of his eyes as he let loose, punishing Alatus for staying in the far back. The strands lit up like a lightbulb in front of Kire, and let loose like an arrow you could trace with rope.

It connected with the top of Alatus's bow as she desperately tried to move out of the way. The shot didn't seem fatal, but seeing her being attacked in any capacity made me worried about what he would do later on. He's not afraid, he made that much obvious.

"Your father seems pretty inclined to fight our people, are you sure he's still good?" I asked Ra in an annoyed tone. I would compromise our position if he put Alatus, Fudo, or Lia in danger.

Lia ran in next with her daggers, colliding with Kire's weird-looking saber. It was a red-hot color and even melted part of her dagger when she collided.

Lia slid on the ground beside him, landed in a weird way, and flipped to dodge his hits. She was getting more and more agile as time went on... I had a lot of catching up to do.

Fudo took the bow from Alatus as he ran past her, put a weird part on the very top of it, and jumped up in the air with a flip, pulling the string back, and launching another arrow at Kire.

Amazing... Fudo fixed it that fast, in the time it took him to jump, and accurately aimed it by stealing another Force Arrow from Alatus's Quiver. I was astonished they worked so well together, and not even Kire could tell what was going on.

"Good try!" Kire shouted out. I started to understand why he shouted. Fudo was landing toward the ground after his flip, which meant Kire had a definitive shot on him, no matter how he landed. The cracked cement underneath him would be his burial ground, wouldn't it?

As Fudo began to land on the ground, Kire activated his eyes once more. There's something very definable about a person and their actions when you see them about to kill.

I observed the look on his face and saw him smiling. I instantly knew I couldn't trust Kire. He took enjoyment out of this, out of putting Fudo in danger like that.

Fudo, with another arrow thrown by Alatus, pulled it back in his bow and shot the ground with a force arrow.

I'm not sure how they exactly worked, but the force around him shot out like a shockwave, and the beam shot straight at him was bent, going into the ground, and cracking a water pipe through several feet of dirt and cement.

"You're serious..." Kire muttered with the same smile. Was he not taking enjoyment out of killing Fudo, but the very thought of fighting?

Fudo landed on the ground with a roll, hiding behind a fire hydrant and a cement blockade.

Lia and Alatus were repositioning to gain an effective jump on Kire while he was distracted, which left him alone on the field.

"Come on! You guys are The Arkians! You're supposed to be these all-powerful people, are you not?" Kire asked Group C.

Two smoke bombs fell to the ground beside him, only as big as grapes, and I heard Lia's voice.

"The only Arkian you have to worry about is me, Alatus and Fudo aren't close to me in terms of strand usage," I heard from above Kire.

I saw a beam shoot up in the sky, which cleared the smoke from the bombs and revealed two daggers being sent down at Fudo.

I didn't know that Lia had so much to her arsenal, holding tricks like that back to wait for the right time. She was very dynamic with her dodges, her skill in the air was greater than most of us, and she was very accurate with throwing daggers. She had a ton of talents, a genuine reason to be afraid of the Arkian she was.

The two daggers crossed down past Kire's opposite shoulders and with chains attached to the ends. They stuck in the ground, and before he could move, the chains slung around his back as she pulled them with her elbow, and ran toward Kire as he was launched toward Lia.

I wasn't sure how he was sent toward Lia, but something she did with the chains caused Kire to fly toward her head first. Lia reacted accordingly, leaping in the air with her knee pushed out, and connecting it straight to Kire's teeth.

I heard the crunch of shattering teeth on her kneecap, and Kire bounced off the ground as Lia pulled her chains back to her hips and pulled the teeth out of her knee when she landed.

"I hope I hit you hard enough so you fall into the right head space. Thank you, Alatus," Lia said, wiping her blades on a cloth by her shoulder.

"Damn! That was quite the hit girl..." Kire said, standing back up, and looking at her.

"That would've killed any other person, but that's not you, is it?" Lia asked Kire, he nodded and shrugged his shoulder forward as he regenerated all of the damage he took.

"Is there a reason you hit me that hard, knowing I could regenerate?" Kire asked next. His body language was a little weird...

Ra placed his hand on my shoulder and looked ahead, "I think Dad is going to strike at her again, from behind" Ra observed.

I looked at him, and then behind Lia. It was still cloudy with smoke, but I caught the beam before it intersected with Lia's head.

"LIA!" I shouted out. I rose my left hand to prepare my ability, and Kire took another gaze at me.

"Found you, Goddess of Wrath," He muttered.

Oh shit...

I couldn't help but smile as I saw the beam close in on my face.

[SYSTEM ALERT: DANGER! DANGER! DANGER!]

I slammed my left hand shut, and for a split second, the gravity in the surrounding area reversed, which made the beam stop in a place like a ball of floating light, and then it shot up with an angle, barely scathing my ear on my head. It would've killed me otherwise, but I successfully saved both Lia and me with the heightened use of my ability, and Ra came out before Kire could strike again.

"DAD!" He screamed out, and Kire faltered for a moment, turning toward the blockade we were hiding behind, and weakening his eyes when he gazed upon Ra.

They didn't see each other for a good while, but the resemblance wasn't up for discussion, they looked far too similar to not be related.
