Survival Evolved: Incarnation

*ALL CHAPTERS ARE FREE* With little to no explanation for their wiped memory, several survivors, referred to as Arkians, wake up on a beach on what seems to be Earth. These survivors have many differences, but the most defining one is Sky; The one with a White Stone on the back of his left hand. What kind of journey will Sky undergo because of this White Stone? Survival Evolved is meant to take place through the eyes of a teenage boy (mainly), meaning that some things he doesn't pick up on or connect in his mind are done ON PURPOSE. 2. Survival Evolved often describes gore/wounds in a gruesome way. There are many scenes in which slavery, human trafficking, or torture are talked about, so read with caution!

Look At Zealous

"Dani, I want to be very clear with you... that blanket, it said some pretty scary stuff. It said not to let Lia or you get close to Sky, otherwise, he would awaken. Here, read it yourself," I told her. I unfolded the blanket and showed her, letting her read it out line by line.

"Incarnation of Wrath...? Singularity Incarnation... that one is mine," She said nonchalantly.

"What?! You have an Incarnation... impressive... What about the Incarnation of Aether? Who does that one belong to?" I asked Dani in awe of her achievement of having an Incarnation.

"Not sure... but, I can't just let Sky be alone. I have to go to him. We'll deal with it when it happens," Dani suggested, but it just wasn't something I could get behind.

"Dani, a black blanket spawned in you, and when we took it out it said not to go anywhere near Sky. Not you or Lia... you're not going to listen to it? That's pretty alarming to me if I'm the one to judge here," I told her, but she still shrugged.

"I've been near him as the Goddess of Wrath before, I'm absolutely sure it's fine. Plus, I'll be outside of the dome, so I can't even get close to him anymore," Dani told me. She got up off the bed, healing her wounds with strands, and walked out of the bunker.

"Dani! Ugh... Hiyochi, will you have things settled here...?" I asked her.

"I have some more people I previously stabilized that I have to work on, but I'll be fine, yes. Don't worry about me," She said with a weak smile. I nodded, knowing she had a lot on her plate... but I couldn't let Dani go alone.

I ran after Dani, and as soon as we made it out of the bunker, I felt something odd.

An immense wave of pressure came from the dome I had set up. It weakened me severely, as it felt like the dome would crush me at any moment. I fell to my knees, slightly holding back vomit, while Dani was fine, walking, and turning around to see what was going on.

"Are you alright? What's going on? Are you sick now?" Dani asked me.

"You don't... feel that pressure?!" I yelled out to her, trying to push my body back up.

"No... are you sure you're okay?" Dani asked me. I didn't know how to answer that question as my knee hit the cement while I looked up.

The wave of pressure lasted for about thirty seconds in total, from Dani just staring at me to rubbing my back so I would find peace, she helped me back on my feet, and we continued toward my dome.

"This is not normal, it can't be. I've never felt anything like that before... is this a side effect of you getting closer to Sky? The blanket said that you shouldn't get close to him, and of course, you're the only one not experiencing any pressure here," I explained to Dani. I could tell she thought about it for a moment, then shrugged.

"It doesn't matter, I'd say. Alexia, do you think I'd leave Sky alone for any fight in his life, ever? I've been by his side for as long as I could. I fought, tooth and nail to get him out of The First Trial. I risked my sanity, my entire life just to pull him out. Do you think you can really keep me in that room with Hiyochi when he's fighting with all he's got out there? Illya and I stopped Zeka, Austin, and Amy for him. The very least we can do, after all, he's done for us, is be there to support him," Dani told me.

"Don't get me wrong Dani... I'm just cautious, I don't want to stop you, nor will I. All I want is for both of us to be sure that we're not going to be in imminent danger just because we got close. If you're certain, I'll follow you," I explained to her before this broke out into a fight.

"Good, then let's go, we shouldn't waste any time," She told me, running toward the dome in the distance.

While running, I witnessed the various levels of destruction that showed up after Sky started to fight Quake in the dome. The fight was explosively powerful. Sky taking on three opponents at once, especially at the level of Quake, would have astronomically low odds of coming out unscathed. The buildings were crumbling. The ground was dented everywhere, and all pathways, water lines, and everything else was just falling apart.

It wasn't an exaggeration to say that Zealous had fallen at this point.

This city, which we haven't even been able to enjoy for more than two months, had hit the ground and vanished underneath our feet. I felt guilty, knowing this danger would've never shown up if we didn't get here.

If it wasn't this city, it would've been another, or another, or another. I couldn't imagine the guilt that Fudo and Alatus felt because of who they brought here. It was astounding to me that the people still couldn't see how good this was.

This city might've been where memories were made, but it was superficial, a construct of the mind that was never as important as our lives. As long as we are breathing, Zealous will come back up, it will stand once more. I just wish people could see that...

My entire world was destroyed, yet I'm still here, fighting, knowing that tomorrow will be better.

It almost angered me in Sky's place. To know that he'll fight Quake with everything he has, he'll suffer, he'll lose, but in the end, he'll be ostracized for the small bad he's done, rather than a large amount of good.
