Survival Evolved: Incarnation

*ALL CHAPTERS ARE FREE* With little to no explanation for their wiped memory, several survivors, referred to as Arkians, wake up on a beach on what seems to be Earth. These survivors have many differences, but the most defining one is Sky; The one with a White Stone on the back of his left hand. What kind of journey will Sky undergo because of this White Stone? Survival Evolved is meant to take place through the eyes of a teenage boy (mainly), meaning that some things he doesn't pick up on or connect in his mind are done ON PURPOSE. 2. Survival Evolved often describes gore/wounds in a gruesome way. There are many scenes in which slavery, human trafficking, or torture are talked about, so read with caution!

Epilogue II

"SKY ASTERIO?!" Mandi and Ellie shouted.

"What...? No... you have the wrong person, I'm sorry. I'm not Sky Asterio." I told Illya, but she shook her head.

"You are. You don't have a last name, and you know that name sounds familiar. You know it does." Illya stated... she was right. That was the name that was on the tip of my tongue but never left.

"Then... Sky was the one who commit genocide? His family was the people who participated in that?" Carl asked.

"Precisely. But, that doesn't matter now. Sky... you need to join me. You are to train to become a Deity. After that... we have an enemy to take down." Illya told me.

"I'm not killing any more members of the human race!" I yelled out, but Illya shook her head.

"There's somebody we can kill to stop this cycle... but I can't do it alone. If you join me, I will repair everybody and they will live easily on Earth with all of their injuries erased permanently. I will not interact with them if that's what you wish, but I need you to join me. Or else... I'll kill everybody standing here." Illya told me.

"Why would you offer that?! You can't put me in that position!" I yelled at Illya, but her look turned sour as she pointed towards a long strand wrapped around Dani's neck.

"If you pull that... I'll leave nothing but a bloodstain where you stand," I told Illya. She smiled and shrugged.

"There's a fundamental difference between you and me. I could do that to you, but you can't touch me with your strength. You're too weak, and you're too stupid. You used to be even smarter than me... but somebody stole your memories to save you from System Meltdown. You lost fourteen years of experience when you were born on this Isle, and ever since you've been living a false life given to you by me. I'll give you that life back... don't make me take Dani's life." Illya pulled the string tighter as she threatened me.

"FINE! DON'T HURT ANYBODY!" I screamed out. Illya let go of the strand and retracted it back into her finger.

"Grab my left hand," Illya said. A White Stone emitted blinding light...

"Huh...? The Black Lake?" I asked, looking at Illya. She was standing beside me, grabbing onto my left hand and squeezing it tightly.

"This... This is The First Trial. I'm sorry, but your memories will be wiped again. You'll understand it one day. I promise you. I'll find you there... and we will become Deities together." Illya said, kicking me in the chest. I slipped off of the edge of the black lake and started to fall a great height. I screamed out, flipping my body around as I fell closer and closer to the surface I once saw before.

All these different Isles around me connected on the surface of Earth.

Huh? Where am I?

Why am I falling?

Why do I look so young? Where did the hair flowing around near my eyes go?

Where was Dani and... what was his name?

Where am I?

Who am I?

--TO BE CONTINUED--

As we continue with Survival Evolved, the pacing will change for the next couple of volumes. Volumes 3 and 4 will be very different from 1 and 2, and I want all readers to understand that it will all come together eventually. Please be patient with the series and give this new beginning a chance. Thank you all for reading, and I will see you at the end of volume 3!

Keep your eye out for those who have been inflicted with Deity's Curse...

And especially keep a close eye on Dani. Something tells me she's not the person she used to be...
