Survival Evolved: Incarnation

*ALL CHAPTERS ARE FREE* With little to no explanation for their wiped memory, several survivors, referred to as Arkians, wake up on a beach on what seems to be Earth. These survivors have many differences, but the most defining one is Sky; The one with a White Stone on the back of his left hand. What kind of journey will Sky undergo because of this White Stone? Survival Evolved is meant to take place through the eyes of a teenage boy (mainly), meaning that some things he doesn't pick up on or connect in his mind are done ON PURPOSE. 2. Survival Evolved often describes gore/wounds in a gruesome way. There are many scenes in which slavery, human trafficking, or torture are talked about, so read with caution!

Dani VS Illya (1)

"If you haven't known struggle before today, you will, starting right now," Illya muttered to me.

I let the Wrath slowly take over every inch of my body. The veil of red covered my eyes and I felt strands wrap around my body, tightening to give me a thin suit of armor of my arms and chest.

And then, I finally charged in toward Illya.

I swung widely, with a horizontal strike at first.

The strands between her saber and Sky's Blade interacted in a strange way, which looked like Illya's weapon was being consumed by me.

A blue light came out of the edge of the sword and blinded both Illya and me.

With the flash between us, I performed a handspring backward and landed on my feet, using my gravitational manipulation to push away the smoke, and defuse a quick attack from Illya.

I pushed her back, snapping her arm at her wrist, and then thrusted Sky's Blade straight past her cheek. I kicked up some blood and caused smoke to pour from her wound just as much as blood, and after it scattered and landed on my face, I felt something change in my mind.

Like rusty gears that have moved for the first time in thousands of years, my brain started to work in overdrive.

My eye lit up black, and I lost vision, quickly replacing it to the strand-vision from The Eye of Providence.

Illya created some distance between us and her jaw almost dropped.

"WHY DO YOU HAVE THAT?! YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO HAVE THAT! THAT BELONGED TO..." She paused, realizing everything now.

I quickly ran at her and she clenched her teeth, summoning more ice, and throwing it my way.

More than twenty spears of ice were in my vision now, and as I ran at her to deal more damage, I realized I would have to cut through all of these.

It wouldn't be worth complaining about, that's how easy it would be.

With the first spear closing in, I used my ability to change its trajectory, launching it at another incoming one.

When they collided and blew up into chunks of ice, I used my ability again and launched all chunks over to Illya in order to stun her. It blew up like a bomb in her face, and I quickly flipped, slid, and cut down the rest of the spears, before standing head-to-head with her.

Illya used her insane speed to end up behind me, but thanks to my Eye of Providence, I traced her location, and slashed upward with Sky's Blade, cutting her saber in half, and using my left hand to punch her in the side of the head.

She absorbed the force of my strike like it was nothing, flipping her body into an over-head kick that would've certainly killed me if it hit, as it cracked the floor underneath me and caused me to stumble.

Illya took that opportunity to electrocute me, but thanks to the gravity I could control, I pushed it into the ground and sent it up through the ground, and into Illya's body.

Every one of her abilities was coming out of the ground... If I could float as she could, I could avoid everything without a problem.

The Eye of Providence can see all of them!

And... it saw something terrifying as well.

The whole Isle is packed to the brim with strands. It looked like a pasta dish from the ground while looking down into it.

I turned back to look at Illya and found a strand connecting itself to my head. I grabbed onto it and ripped it backward in order to pull Illya to my position.

Before she got here, she flipped, summoned a shield of ice, and tackled me with it. As I fell to the ground, I used my ability to launch off of the ground and send the shield right back toward Illya's head. It slammed into her, and she absorbed the force once more, coming in to punch me as hard as she could.

I used my ability again to take the force of her punch, and send it straight into her body. Her entire chest malformed inwards and a shockwave of wind came from her position as she bounced off of the ground.

I smiled after striking her, and my System went off like an alarm.

[SYSTEM ALERT! DANGER! DANGER! DANGER!]

Turning my body revealed Illya's position behind me, charging up a saber to strike me and split me in half.

I had a few decisions... but I've wanted to try something for a while now.

I used my ability on the ground and completely inverted gravity for her. Slashing downward meant slashing upward, and she sent out another shockwave above me.

From the ground, as Illya was flipped over, I used my gravity ability in conjunction with a punch infused with strands. It hit Illya in the head and as it connected to her head, I saw her eyes roll back into her head and she was launched with the most power I've ever seen into the roof of the dome.

Once she connected to it, her clothes ignited almost instantly, and she was sent back into the ground and a frightening speed. So... that's what Shike did with the dome.

"So futile... to fight this much... to exhaust yourself this much... hehe... HAHAHAHAHAHA!" Illya was now laughing like a psychopath.

"You don't get it, do you?! I AM A DEITY! You aren't beating me... no... you're far from it actually." She muttered.

I was ready to make a snarky remark... but as soon as I opened my mouth, I found myself dripping blood onto the ground.

I turned around and my back was impaled with hundreds... no... thousands of strands... all taking blood from me...

"You stupid Humans... you're so far behind mentally that you can't even see me!" Illya told me.

She was going to make this difficult? I see... no problem... I'm nowhere near my limit.

This fantastical fight was only just beginning.

I haven't even started creating shockwaves with my ability.
