The way that she looked at me was…dangerous.

Seeing that she was getting closer and closer like this, I couldn't help wanting to move away from her.

However, I was still in her princess carry and her arms were tightly holding me.

I found that I couldn't break free of her grasp at all, as if I was being held in an iron vice instead of her soft hands.

Seeing that she was almost right in front of me, I had no choice but to say, "What are you doing?"

But even then, Veronica didn't stop moving.

It seemed like she was completely focused on just biting into my neck.

Even after being saved by her, was this how I was going to end?

Would I become a vampire or would she suck out all my blood?

But before she could do it, there was a bat that suddenly flew down and landed in front of her. After landing, this bat changed shape and took the form of…Yasmin.

After landing, Yasmin immediately came forward and placed her hand in between Veronica's face and my neck before saying, "Young miss, you can't do this! Please get a hold of yourself!"

When Veronica heard Yasmin's voice, there was a bit of clarity that appeared in her eyes. However, it didn't take long before her eyes were clouded with the same look as before.

She said in a soft voice, "There's a sweet smell coming from him, don't get in my way."

Yasmin couldn't help trembling when she heard her say this, but she didn't back down in the end as she said, "Young miss, please come back to your senses! Do you really want your first time to be like this!"

This time, Yasmin's words had a much greater effect on Veronica as her eyes trembled after hearing this.

Slowly, she came back to her senses and her grip on me loosened.

Yasmin seized this chance to pull me out of her hands and threw me down to the side.

Then before Veronica could say anything, she quickly pulled out a packet of blood that she presented to Veronica while saying, "Young miss, please replenish yourself. You've used up a lot of energy."

Veronica took one more look at me, or rather she took one last look at my neck before taking the blood packet from Yasmin.

She opened her mouth wide to reveal those sharp fangs before piercing them right into the blood packet in her hand.

In a matter of seconds, the blood packet was drained and emptied.

All I saw was the blood quickly flowing out of the packet in the direction where her fangs pierced the packet.

Once it was gone, Veronica looked at Yasmin who immediately understood what this gaze meant.

Without hesitation, Yasmin pulled out another blood packet that she offered Veronica.

Veronica took this blood packet and sunk her teeth into it just like before, draining it in mere seconds.

Only after this second blood packet did she calm down.

There was an awkward silence that filled the air before a blush came over her face as she started to realize what she had done.

She peeked at me before quickly turning away with a shy look on her face.

Yasmin completely ignored me and went forward to support Veronica, but Veronica raised her hand to show that she was fine. Instead, she pointed at me as if she wanted Yasmin to help me up.

Though Yasmin showed a disgusted look, she still came over to help me up in the end.

After I stood up, she looked at me and asked, "Any injuries?"

I slowly shook my head to show that I was fine, but that just made her give a displeased snort.

It was as if she was hoping that I would have been injured.

Yasmin just took one more look at me before walking back to Veronica's side and whispering something in her ear.

Veronica gave a nod before slowly taking a look at me.

I met that gaze, but that just caused her to quickly look away.

Yasmin couldn't help getting angry again when she saw this, so she turned to me and said, "The young miss has spent a lot of energy today to save you, so she won't have time to talk to you! We're leaving now!"

Veronica looked at Yasmin as if she wasn't willing, but Yasmin didn't care at all as she took Veronica by the shoulders and almost pushed her away.

Though she had that unwilling look in her eyes, Veronica still allowed Yasmin to take her away.

I couldn't help feeling that I should say something, so I said, "Thank you for saving me."

Veronica had a surprised look in her eyes when she heard this, but she still looked at me and gave a nod.

Yasmin couldn't help revealing an annoyed look again, but she didn't do anything to ruin it this time,

After Veronica looked away, Yasmin pointed at me and said, "You dirty thing, don't you even think about approaching the young miss again!"

Veronica reached out and pulled on Yasmin's sleeve when she heard this before giving her a look.

Yasmin bit her lip when she saw this before pointing at me again and saying, "You just wash your neck and wait! We'll tell you what this is all about later!"

Then without waiting for a single second, she pushed Veronica out of this place.

As they left, Veronica took one last look at me.

Once they were gone, I let out a sigh of relief.

Though there was some bitterness in that sigh.

I never expected things to end like this.

Now that I had gotten caught up in this fight, there was no way that I would be able to remain as just the best friend character anymore.

What should I do now?

First I messed up with Yan Huang and now I've messed up with Veronica…

The only one that I had left was Kyoko.

I hope that I didn't mess up with her as well…
