Director Bai, along with his subordinate Fatty, was performing a surgery on a patient with comminuted pelvic fractures. The second assistant on the operating table was Director Bai's graduate student, also a chubby one.
Director Bai's weight was almost 200 pounds, Fatty's estimated weight was almost the same, and the chubby student couldn't be less than 180 pounds.
With three fatties on the same operating table, it was cramped. Another standardized training student who was in charge of the hook was squeezed to a point of agony.
"Gauze, gauze, gauze---"
Director Bai repeatedly packed gauze into the retroperitoneal space of the pelvis. Dozens of large pieces of gauze specifically used for hemostasis had already been packed in.
Comminuted pelvic fractures were there as a signature surgery of trauma orthopedics.
It was also the most challenging and risky surgery in trauma orthopedics.
