I Expedition Begins

Elijah was on his tent, meditating with a magical crystal on his hand as when he slowly opened his eyes and looked at the ray of light that emerged from the floor revealing a huge gate shaped like a skull that slowly opened. He could even hear the voice of his conscience telling him that he should not go through this gate if he treasured his life.

Although he treasured his life, he had complete faith that Shadow would help him. And more, how could he become powerful if the only thing he did was run from danger? No, the only thing he could do was fight.

A few hours later, the gate had completely open and a lingering black mist could be seen coming from inside. It seemed like there was something living there.

"Look! The gate has opened!"

"Everyone get your asses up! The the entrance is has finally open!" The noise level escalated quickly.

It was logical that the everyone he would be heated up as if they miss this window of opportunity they didn't know if there would be a next one.

The four hundred on the camp grounds stirred up chaos as they walked towards the Ruin's entrance, but their speed sorted them into distinguishable groups. At the front were the people which powers comparable with the Fourth Realm, led by Kaikai, Yail, Keith, and a red-skinned girl called Ruby as they walked ahead leaving traces of black mist behind.

After them, there was the far behind cultivators on the third realm running and entering the gate in a instant. As for the rest, three hundred people could be seen passing through huge trees and scattered rocks towards the gate like a swarm of ants.

"Let's go, quickly!" Elijah and Aina recovered their senses followed the large group of ants.

"This is… ouch!" As he just walked through the entrance, he felt an burning pain on the base of his right arm. Feeling there was something wrong he asked Shadow with a scared voice: "Master, why my arm is having this burning sensation? It hurts!"

"Wait one minute." Hearing his question, Shadow gave quickly look at the book of the Supreme Origin Art before she could discover the reason: "Oh, i understand now... this burning sensation you are feeling is because you are close to breakthrough to the Supreme Refining Realm and there is registered on the book that from the Supreme Core Realm to the Supreme Refining Realm, the entire body is reconstructed and regenerated. So the pain you are feeling on your arm may be a signal from how close you are to the Supreme Refining Realm and i think the moment you breakthrough is the moment you will have your real hand back. of course, you can negate the regeneration on you arm if you want. As for the pain, you will have to live with it until the breakthrough."

After speaking with shadow, he saw a sight that froze him in place. His eyes were wide as he stared at a huge sculpture in the form of 5 large, stone spheres that rotate around a white sphere several times larger than the stone spheres.

"I remember... So this is our Solar System, and we are at…" Elijah quietly thought to himself, he remembered about one of the books Damian had left with him but most of the pictures on the book were from Damian's home planet.

"Let's go!" Keith patted his shoulder and said in a serious tone. Despite not showing, Keith was worried, but only he knew why this mission was important for him as someone's life was at stake. They followed the rest of the group behind the sculpture after they had a little pause to rest.

They had just entered and were already facing an obstacle. There were around fifty wood doors in front of them, and when the running crowd came to a stop. Everyone was worryingly wondering about which path they should take while the braver or the foolish ones quickly disappeared into different doors.

Elijah did not think it was a good idea to get into one of these doors without being sure what it was as those doors all looked the same, therefore everyone gave up on analyzing them and just entered a random tunnel as they could not tell which was the safest path.

Then, Elijah could hear Shadow's voice on his head: "Boy, enter the fifth door from the left!"

And while he walked towards the door, he saw that Aina was going to this door too.

Despite the murderous intention coming from him, Keith did not worry because with the strength that Elijah demonstrated on the battle with him before had gained his respect, as for Aina... Even he was scared to face her on one a one.

Further down the path, there was something like a hall and there was 10 wood chests standing side by side. It was not a strange scene for the most experienced cultivators that knew that this chests had probably several traps and treasures.

And of course, Elijah and Aina were not the only ones who picked this path. From the eighteen waiting before the chests and all of them were staring at each other closely with greedy eyes.

A fight broke out nearly one second after that. The sound of swords clashing against each other could be heard as the exploding spells echoed through the path, and he could see bodies flying everywhere.

"No one will stand in my way! Earth Fire Magic: Fiery Burst!" A small girl in pink clothes raised her magical staff and activated a fire spell and rays of yellow fire wrapped around her staff and were shot on every direction. The sounds of people burning accompanied each step this girl take, a few men were guarding the front of wood chests as when she charged towards them. Aina quickly pulled Elijah to behind a stone and they watched quietly the bloodbath hat happened there in front of the chests.

Some of the lucky ones had managed to dodge the attack and ran away without looking back. Facing this small girl that was so small that the sleeves of her robes covered her hands but was worse than a monster, They had lost their wish for treasures as they didn't want to lose their lives too.

As for the fool who had followed Elijah, just as he saw several people running, he could not even think as breath of yellow fire gush over him and a screaming voice could be hear on the way back to the door.

"Miss Aina, do you have an idea of how escape this?" As Elijah's eyes scanned the entire place around him and one of them in particular caught his attention.

He realized that this entire ruins were composed of sequences of runes and he saw one that was slightly different than the others. The patterns on it were changing every second, and he thought this could be something like a control panel that was behind the chests all this time! Now the only problem was how to pass through this girl and reach the control panel on the other side.

Leaving from behind the stone, the first thing he tried to do was use the [Void Space] but no matter how much he tried it would not work and then he remembered that this ruins was not a domain he could use his master's power. And seeing someone standing against her, she quickly aimed her magical staff at Elijah: "Earth Fire Magic: Burning Hell!"

"Oh Shit!" Yellow Flames came from every direction, engulfing him.
