Due to Xania's unique abilities, he could be around her as well as the palace anytime without having to worry if anyone would see him or not and he was actually enjoying himself, something he did not think he would be able to get ever since meeting Violet, but he kept getting proved wrong.

As he hovered around her in the air while, heading to the throne room, he looked around the palace and he noticed the way a few of them looked at her and that gated on his nerves, he wanted nothing more than to smack them at the time.

He couldn't take the way they looked at her, some with envy, some with a genuine smile and some with disdain as though she was some sort of villain and he could not stand that because he knew deep down that none of it was the girl's fault.

"How do you put up with it? How did you do that for all this time? Tolerate?" Xania asked and she glanced back at him, then smiled a little, seeing how agitated he was being just from the actions of others and that too on her behalf, which made her feel good in a way.

"I just did Xanaia, in order to survive, one needs to push aside certain feelings, or it will make you burn, inside out it will consume you," She responded and his eyes widened slightly since he was not expecting that kind of answer, a simple but one that spoke many words and very much understandable.

"I see, you sure had a hard life... It's similar to that one in many more ways than one and just like he said.... I wonder what is going to happen this time and if things go wrong, this is your last one...He told me that himself, this time he won't be able to change things..." Xania mumbled since now he was a little bit worried about the girl, knowing that this was her final chance at life.

"Violet... Be a little more careful with yourself during this event, the selection I hear can become quite brutal, some people put what they want above all else, but you have to be rational during this," He said, hoping that she would understand and agree with him.

"Alright, I will be more careful, I understand how dangerous it is, you can become the target of many things during these events and it's not pretty," She replied and he smiled at her, satisfied with the answer she had given to him.

Violet finally arrived at the throne room and the guards at the door, looked at her and she glanced at them with her eyes narrowed and they bowed their heads to her in respect since even with the title of the illegitimate child, she was still a princess that held a title.

After they bowed their heads to her, she gave them a slight nod then they opened the door to the throne room and she walked inside.

Almost everyone that was present there, left staring at her, since none were expecting to see her, her long silky hair flowed down her, her piercing purple eyes narrowed with a glint and she had a striking presence, one that now commanded attention from those around her.

Upon noticing her, her father, the king, his eyes narrowed since he remembered her previous antics and he was not pleased to see her at the time, since she was supposed to be grounded and, in her room, but clearly, she had no intentions of following any of his orders, which were all more confusing to him.

"Your Highness," She said as she stood before him and bowed her head slightly, in respect and his eyes narrowed, wondering what she was up to this time and he bowed his head, slightly in response.

"Violet, what brings you here today? If I remember correctly, you were supposed to be in your room and only come out when I tell you to, you were grounded for your barbaric behavior," He said and she stifled a laugh since she knew he was overexaggerating.

His eyes narrowed when he noticed her stifled laugh and that was only getting him agitated since she was not taking him seriously and with her, he didn't like to beat around the bush and did not mind adding to her punishment for disrespecting him, but little did he know, she did not care and intended to speak her mind now whether he liked it or not, wanted to hear it or not and she did not intend to let anyone to get in her way.

"Your Highness, I am here because of something very important, if it wasn't I assure you I wouldn't be here because I take no liberty in seeing certain people's faces to start my day," She responded and his grip on the armrest of the throne tighten, and he gritted his teeth in annoyance.

"Is that so? Well, forgive those faces for not meeting your standards, tell me why you are here and you better have a good reason because if you are wasting my time, I will add to your punishment, today is a busy and important day, I am sure you are not that oblivious to not notice, start talking," He said in a firm and authoritative tone.

"Yeah, I know what today is and why it is so important, it's the beginning of the event, the selection for that throne... I am actually here regarding that," She replied and his eyes narrowed.

"Go on, let me hear what you have to say about the event and this better make sense, girl," He added and she rolled her eyes.

"Oh, I assure you it will make sense and shock as well, because I am here to tell you that as the princess, I have a right to join if I want to and I am here for exactly that, I am going to join the event," She said in a firm tone while looking directly into his eyes.

The king left staring at her and the throne room became silent, everyone turning their attention to the two, after hearing her declaration just now, wondering if they even heard correctly.
