After a bit of alcohol, the atmosphere of the party relaxed even further. The men weren't serious at all. They joked quite often and knew how to make jokes out of themselves aside from Swaine. Randolph found their presence enjoyable to be in, with accompanying wine.
It likely had a good amount to do with his good mood after hearing that he was on the path to completing his deal, but he talked much more than he otherwise usually would.
He learned quite a bit from the men, including their natural living standards and expectations.
The difference between the two classes were immense. Each bit of information, even just random ones, sent him shaking his head in dismay, though he would never show his surprise on his face.
After talking and drinking for a while, the atmosphere calmed as the alcohol kicked in. The mood in the room was pleasant, and it seemed as if the men already had their fill of partying, as they merely enjoyed the quiet atmosphere.
