"Who the hell are you?" Wilfred asked. He had been sleeping in his bed just moments ago. Now he was tied up in his own bedroom. This was definitely the worst new year of his life. First, his company's servers had been stolen, and now he was a hostage.
" I am just a small-time entrepreneur who you never met." Michael answered. He did not want to waste too much time on Wilfred. His main purpose in coming here was to make sure that ER games did not have a secret backer.
Michael did not want to make the mistake of thinking he dealt with the enemy, only to be counterattacked by a secret group of backers.
" Do you know who you are messing with? I have so man…" Wilfred's could not finish his threats because a bottle of ghost pepper sauce was shoved into his throat. He started gagging as he felt his entire mouth melt.
" Who ordered the attack on Eminence gaming? Do you follow orders from anyone? Answers my questions honestly and you can have ice cream." Michael interrogated Wilfred while holding a tub of ice cream in front of him.
Wilfred gulped and spilled the beans. Michael verified that everything he said was true with his skills. After the interrogation, he felt relieved. Turns out there was nobody behind ER Games; Wilfred ordered the attacks because he wanted to acquire Capos.
" Let me go now. I have answered all of your questions." Wilfred whimpered. He had finished the whole tub of ice cream and lost all sensations in his tongue.
Michael looked at Wilfred with eyes full of pity. He wanted to let him go; However, he had other uses for Wilfred. He had been meaning to test his new skills on someone recently. He had not found the right candidate, Until now.
Michael started with the advanced healing skill; He needed to know what the capabilities of the skill were and how often he could use it. He first crushed Wilfred's vocal cords so that there won't be any unpleasant noises. Then he started with the left hand and cut the pinkie off.
The advanced healing skill healed the finger in seconds; the finger was completely regrown. Michael started making deeper cuts on the torso. These took a little longer to heal. Next, Michael shattered the leg bones. The healing took several minutes this time. Furthermore, Michael felt tired after healing Wilfred.
It seemed like the healing skill took longer for more severe injuries. Furthermore, Michael would also have to spend some time recovering when healing lethal injuries. It was hard to tell since he did not want to go too far with Wilfred; However, Michael figured he could perform one life-saving healing per day at most.
"System is there any way to increase the number of times I can use healing every day?" Michael asked.
[ The best way would be to increase your stats. The only reason you can heal lethal injuries even once a day is because your stats have entered supreme tier. As you continue to increase your stats you will be able to use the skills more frequently.
There are some stamina potions in the store; however, those are merely temporary solutions. Once the effects of the potion wear off, you will be hit with a kickback that will leave you exhausted.
The healing skill consumes stamina based on the severity of the injury; not based on the type of injury. So it is not as bad as you think ]
Michael was excited by system's response; However, he was perplexed by the last statement. "What do you mean by the severity of the injury? Doesn't the type of injury dictate the severity of the injury?"
[ Take the example of a crippled man. Now there are multiple reasons he could be crippled. He could have both his legs amputated or the nerves in his spine could be damaged. Which one do you think will consume more stamina to heal?]
Michael finally understood what the system was trying to say. He would have to investigate the cause of the injury before attempting to heal a person. Therefore, he pretty much had to study medicine like a regular doctor to make sure that he does not over exhaust himself by treating an unknown injury.
The system never made anything easy for him. This healing skill reminded Michael of the requirements of technical skills. Of course, it was not the same thing. He needed the medical knowledge to protect himself from being drained; on the contrary, the technical skills required knowledge to use in the first place. Either way, he was not complaining.
Michael turned to Wilfred; he still had a couple of experiments to perform. First Michael bought some night vision goggles from the store and put it on Wilfred. He wanted to check to make sure that others could use the equipment from the system. He turned off the lights and asked Wilfred to identify the things in the room.
Wilfred was able to accurately identify everything; proving that the system does allow anyone to use the equipment from the store. This was both reassuring and disheartening. On one hand, he did not have to worry about equipping his followers; on the other hand, he had to worry about the equipment falling into enemy hands. Michael shook his head and decided to worry about that problem when he actually had some followers.
The last thing to verify was the potions. Although the system had said the genetic potions could be used by his followers; it did not say anything about the other potions.
Michael fed Wilfred a Camouflage potion and watched as he disappeared from view. It was fascinating to see the effects applied on another person. He started poking Wilfred to make sure that he can still be touched. After figuring out the nuances of the camouflage potion Michael showed mercy and put Wilfred to eternal sleep. He absorbed the dead body into his inventory and started the journey back home.
ER games had finally been dealt with; Now there was no one else to stop Eminence gaming from dominating the Gaming industry. Of course, Michael was only getting started.
Thanks for reading.
This is a bonus chapter for all my readers.

Michael's actions might seem excessive; honestly, I am just writing based on the polls. Besides Michael really needed to figure out the healing skill.
