Chapter 36 [Alicia and her Origin Ability] (Part 2)
"Miss Alicia, you promised no experiments!" Emma exclaimed, her voice rising in indignation. "You said you'd only tell me about my secret!"
Alicia's calm demeanor helped to soothe Emma's anger. "Relax, Emma. I won't force you. If you don't want to be scanned, I'll share what I know about your bloodline."
Emma's curiosity was piqued. "My bloodline? What do you mean?" she asked, her skepticism evident.
Alicia's eyes sparkled with intensity. "Your bloodline is incredibly powerful, Emma. If you awaken it, you have the potential to single-handedly defeat all the Apostles in your group. That's how powerful it is."
Emma's doubts deepened. "But I only have the Demonic Bloodline. My father checked, and there's no other bloodline."
Alicia's expression turned enigmatic. "Your bloodline is even more dark, destructive, and demonic than your demon bloodline. It's similar to a black dragon's bloodline, but unique – like a mutation, merger, or evolution. That's why I suggested scanning your body, to analyze the composition of your dormant bloodline and understand its true nature."
Emma's eyes widened with excitement as she heard about the black dragon bloodline, but her enthusiasm was tempered by doubts. "How can you detect it?" she asked, her voice laced with skepticism. "Not even my father and Blaze, the Apostle of the Dragon Goddess, sensed it."
Alicia's confident smile reassured Emma. "My Blood Element Magic allows me to sense and smell any dormant or awakened bloodline and physique."
However, Alicia's next words were a cautionary tale, dampening Emma's excitement. "Don't get too thrilled, Emma. This bloodline is not easily awakened. You'll need a powerful catalyst, like divine-grade resources, and even that's no guarantee. This bloodline is more mysterious and elusive than you think."
At first, Emma was ecstatic about the possibility of possessing a dragon bloodline, but Alicia's words of caution were like a splash of cold water, tempering her excitement and replacing it with a sense of trepidation and uncertainty.
Alicia had detected Emma's dormant bloodline using her "Origin Ability," a unique power similar to her grandmother's but with distinct differences.
While her grandmother's ability focused on blood assimilation and bloodline replication, Alicia's Origin Ability specialized in bloodline sensing and triggering. Her Bloodline Sensing ability allowed her to smell and sense any type of bloodline, special physique, or soul, while her Trigger ability enabled her to awaken a person's bloodline, and physique to its full potential. In simple terms, Alicia could unlock anyone's hidden or dormant bloodline and activate it to its maximum capacity. She could also control the extent of the awakening, depending on the bloodline purity of the person's ancestors.
After a prolonged silence, Emma rose from her chair with newfound determination, as if she had made a crucial decision. "Miss Alicia, I'm willing to undergo the scan myself," she said, her voice firm. "However, I have one condition: you must promise not to reveal my bloodline secret to anyone."
"You don't have to call me Miss Alicia, just Alicia is fine," Alicia said with a warm smile. "Alright, I agree to your condition. I won't reveal your bloodline secret to anyone until you've awakened it. However, I must exclude my parents and close friend from this condition. They're the only ones I'll share the information with, and I assure you they'll keep your secret safe."
Emma's direct and straightforward demeanor was met with Alicia's equally candid response, setting the stage for a foundation of trust between them.

After a few minutes, Emma stepped into the Cryogenic capsule, her naked form enveloped by the transparent glass. The capsule began to fill with a clear, water-like substance, and thin pipes emerged from the walls, some tipped with needles, others without.
As they attached themselves to Emma's body, she remained calm, though a hint of fear lingered in her heart. Alicia had already explained the process, but the reality was still unnerving.
Once all the pipes were in place, a holographic screen flickered to life beside the container, displaying Emma's vital signs, body composition, and DNA analysis in vivid detail.
Alicia began to observe and analyze the data, her eyes scanning the holographic images as she navigated the screens with a flick of her finger. New screens revealed detailed information about Emma's blood energy cells, hidden and awakened bloodlines, their characteristics, potential, and evolutionary history.
Alicia's eyes sparkled with wonder, her gaze fixed intently on the data. "Fascinating..." she muttered, her voice barely above a whisper. The discovery seemed to have captivated her, like stumbling upon a long-lost treasure.
As Alicia delved deeper into the data, her expression transformed from fascination to astonishment. "What the..." she trailed off, her voice barely above a whisper, unable to complete her sentence. Suddenly, she burst into uncontrollable laughter, her eyes shining with excitement. "Hahahahaaa! Haaaaahaaaa! Hahahahaaa!"
"Two extremely powerful bloodlines have merged into one and mutated themselves... It's a fascinating bloodline, without any conflict," she exclaimed, her words tumbling out in a rush. "I wasn't joking when I said she could defeat all the Apostles in her group. With such a powerful bloodline, she can overpower them. Only one person in that group will pose a problem for her - Aether, due to his Celestial sword physique and Universe essence in his mind."
Alicia's laughter subsided, replaced by a thoughtful expression. "But, unfortunately, it will be extremely challenging for her and her family to awaken this bloodline. It's highly diluted, making it a daunting task."
An hour later, Emma emerged from the capsule, wrapping a towel around her naked body. Alicia, still engrossed in her work, didn't notice Emma's approach. "Alicia, what did you find out about my black dragon bloodline?" Emma asked, dressing herself.
Alicia, absorbed in her task, didn't respond. Emma called out to her twice, "Alicia! Alicia!" Finally, Alicia looked up, apologetic. "Sorry, Emma. I was fascinated by your dormant bloodline. What were you asking?"
Emma's excitement grew, her curiosity piqued. "What did you discover?" Alicia's expression turned serious, her voice measured. "I found something remarkable, Emma. Something that could make half of our world your enemy, including some gods."
Emma's eyes widened, her mind racing. "What are you talking about? What did you find out?" she pressed, her voice filled with anticipation.
Hearing that her secret could make half of the world her enemies, including some gods, Emma's excitement grew. She seemed more eager to uncover the truth about her bloodline, unfazed by the potential danger. Any bloodline that could inspire fear in gods and enemies alike couldn't be ordinary.
Alicia, noticing Emma's enthusiasm, didn't answer her question directly. Instead, she asked, "Emma, you didn't tell me which god has chosen you as their Apostle." Emma looked puzzled by the sudden change in topic but replied, "I am the Apostle of the God of Destruction, Heruka."
Alicia's thoughts raced with questions. 'Why would Heruka choose his Apostle from the Demon Race, and specifically Emma? Did he know about her extraordinary bloodline or was there something else at play?' Emma, sensing Alicia's unspoken thoughts, awaited her next words, her curiosity piqued.
"Sister Alicia, I'm equally perplexed," Emma said, her brow furrowed in confusion. "Why would Heruka, the God of Destruction, choose me as his Apostle? The demon race doesn't even worship him, and there are countless geniuses among my kind. Why me?" Emma's thoughts echoed the sentiments of her family and powerful organizations within the demon race, who were equally baffled by Heruka's decision.
Many suspected a conspiracy or an ulterior motive behind the God's choice, but none dared to question his wisdom. After all, he was a God of Destruction, and his whims were not to be trifled with.
