Supreme Bloodline Genes In The Apocalypse

Going shopping when the world was about to be hit by an apocalypse might not be the smartest thing but how else was he supposed to prepare for the said apocalypse? And that was how Lucas was transmigrated into another world, far different from Earth. A world where the Bloodline of your ancestors will determine your standing. They are called the Rashakas. Fortunately for him, he got lucky here but when the flood of memories of the new body came, Lucas wasn't so sure. Because he was now in the body of a coward Rashaka. If he wants to survive, he must build his reputation, save himself and his new mother from the schemes of the Elders, and most importantly of all build a new reputation for himself. To do all this he must apply for one of the most brutal places in the new world, 'The Academy' a place where the Sicon of the Great Clans come together to shed blood without consequences. And the reward for the Academy? It just might be the glorious honor of bringing the apocalypse to Earth. Follow Lucas ( now Kyrexiel) as he tries to save a broken Great Clan and build a new thing for himself.

Iridessa

Kyrexiel's mother, the Bloodscion has a lot of Clan retainers. As a Great Clan, it was expected. In some ways, they also represent the Hydraeus.

But to get to that position isn't an easy feat, in fact it's very difficult and only strong Clans could hope to join them as retainers. And it's a very steep position because those retainer's prosperity hung into that of the Hydraeus.

And it's not only Clans that can be retainers, individuals can be as well.

All in all, Kyrexiel didn't think the Scuridae had what it takes to be retainers of the Hydraeus. 'Maybe they can be a retainer for one of our clan retainers? It's still the same thing indirectly'

"That's insane," Kyrexiel repeated. "And dangerous. The Bloodscion will have your head if she finds out you are going after her blue shield. Solving crimes or not."

Elyrixa waved it away. "There's no way she will know and what we have found out about the person the blue shield was sending the people to is important." Her eyes glistened like a new silver coin.

"What is it?" Kyrexiel leans forward. He needed any information connecting Elder Cormac and whatever he was planning.

Elyrixa smiled. "Have you made up your mind then? Are you joining us?"

'The answer is a flat no' Kyrexiel thought but he kept that in. "I think I will stay and see how things turn out." That's the best he could do for now because there was no way he was joining their clan.

"Will you look at that!" Urlk snorted. "He's the first one from all the ungrateful we saved that want to at least stick a little."

Seeing an opening, Kyrexiel quickly dived in. "Yes. If nothing else, I would like to stay with you and help you out till I repay my debt. You did save my life."

Elyrixa paused then she nodded slowly. "That's fair enough. If after you have repaid. Maybe you'll want to join then."

"Maybe." Kyrexiel made sure to keep the doubts from his voice. He leans forward. "Aside from your ambition, what else do you do? Any...business?"

Kyrexiel already had an idea of what the clan does and he wasn't surprised when Elyrixa confirmed it.

"We steal," she said bluntly. "From those richer and more stupid than us. That's what my clan does and we are very good at it. That is how we survive. Do you have anything against it?"

Kyrexiel opened his mouth then he paused and thought about it. On earth, he might be against stealing but the rules are different here. It's all about surviving. Stealing and even murder is just another tool to survive.

"No," then he smiled. "As much as you don't get caught."

Elyrixa returned his smile. "Good. And we haven't been caught yet. Our bloodline is tailored to it. Also, we make sure to steal things that are illegal anyway. Things that will be almost impossible to report. Of course, sometimes, we'll get what our hands can reach."

Kyrexiel shrugged. He has no problem with it and he was expecting it anyway, how else would a clan like their own survive?

"And that's why we want to affiliate ourselves with a bigger clan. We have things to offer, the Bloodscion can have eyes in the deepest part of the Dominion. We can help her clean the streets here of criminals."

'Come to think of it. That will certainly work' Kyrexiel thought. His mother had eyes in almost every part of her Dominion but maybe she needs one in a place like this too.

"Now, to tell you about the person that the blue shield has been sending the people they kidnap to. Do you know the Iridessa?" Elyrixa asked.

Kyrexiel started to nod as he pulled the memory from his head. "The Iridessa, they are one of the God Emperor's retainers. They serve the God Emperor directly, they make enchantments tools and lay enchantments on things."

"The God Emperor loan them out to the Great Clans or Great powers. It's one of the ways he makes money and killing of one is one of the greatest greatest crimes."

Elyrixa looked at him in surprise, maybe she didn't think he would be this informed. "You are right. They have the strongest Bloodline of those that can lay enchantments. They completely overshadow other Clans with the same ability."

'Overshadow is not the word' Kyrexiel thought. 'The Iridessa is like an eagle while the other enchantments Clans are like chicken' "They are one of the Clans that only serve the God Emperor. They only use their bloodline technique as he commanded."

They make things like golmes, enchanted instruments, or erect barriers and sometimes, they act as healers. Every Great Clans or powerful Clans has some Iridessa with them, loaned to them by the God Emperor.

It was one of the ways that God Emperor made more gold for himself and a way to insert himself into the court of every powerful clan in the world.

The Iridessa are also considered a Great Clan on their own, although they lead no formal clan as the God Emperor leads them directly.

Still, Kyrexiel couldn't connect it with what was happening down here in his mother's city.

"One of the Iridessa, those who refuse to serve the Emperor, one of them is down here in the Crumbs. He does illegal enchantments, for the right price and he buys humans for an even better price. Say, he's doing all sorts of experiments." Elyrixa said.

If memory serves Kyrexiel right then he remembers that the Iridessa in his mother's court usually gets some prisoners to use in his experiments.

Is that what Elder Cormac was doing? Kyrexiel doubted that.

But what Elyrixa just said about the God Emperor and his Iridessa sent a chill through his body because he could remember. This body remembers. The God Emperor was the cause of their family's decline.
