Kent, standing beside his golden chariot, made a move to follow, but a firm hand on his shoulder stopped him. It was the Old Patriarch, his gaze intense yet calm.
"Let him handle this on his own. Porus has suffered for years—ever since the calamity that took the lives of those twelve hundred disciples. This is his burden to bear. It would be better if he do it solo."
Kent turned his head to the Old Patriarch, his expression serious. "I understand. But while he deals with this, I have a request. If you don't mind, I'd like a favor from you."
