First Mission
Jane was excited when she heard that Kai had reached the Acolyte level with his young age. It was not the first time he had shocked her with his abilities.
"You're talented, Kai," she said, "I think you might turn into one of the best Arcanists in the kingdom if you keep working hard."
It was kind of her. Kai also felt like he had a good talent when it came to magic, but would it be enough for him to get out of the terrible situation he was in? That was something he didn't know.
Kai had something else to tell her too, "I also joined the adventurer's guild, and I am planning on doing a few easy tasks before classes start. Are you okay with it?"
"What? You know this is dangerous," Jane said.
The adventurer's guild had easy tasks, but that didn't mean the tasks were safe. It was the price one had to pay to get money. But Kai wanted it. He wanted not only the money, but also to improve his magic.
