2. Gloomy night 2

Upon hearing what the guy said, the lady with long hair and shining red lips hit him on his head. She hissed, "I know you to be a fool Elroy. I wonder why Ursula sent an idiot like you on a mission with me."

Elroy frowned but held back his anger, he knew that he's no match to this witch. She's sly and cunning more than a tortoise and powerful as well. That's why Ursula always makes her the head of a group on a mission.

That didn't end there, though Elroy knows that he can't fight the witch. He still has his mouth to spit out venom.

"I am not an idiot, I was the one that killed the lady. This stinky wolf right here killed the man but your disgusting self did nothing!"

The wolf growled at Elroy for calling him stinky but he scoffed. Elroy knew quite well that he could handle him. He's still a pup when compared to Elroy.

The lady slightly snarled at Elroy, "I'm your superior, you dare not call me disgusting!" She took a deep breath, it's not the right time to give her priceless attention to a fool like Elroy. She just added, "You work at my command, I will only interfere when the situation is out of hand and besides, I don't want to taint my beautiful dress or ruin my makeup by handling these measly humans."

Elroy rolls his eyes in anger, he just hates this lady and doesn't know why Ursula values her a lot. She will always act like their boss in every of their missions. Someone going to a mission will definitely fight, dressing up like she's going to a club… isn't that ridiculous.

The beast who can't talk in his wolf form unless these two are werewolves like him, just shook his head. He's done watching these two not doing anything so they could leave here. This is how they bicker in every of their missions and he always finds it boring.

Muriel who is watching these unexplainable creatures argue among themselves, finds this as a good opportunity to run for her life. If she stays here, these strange creatures will definitely kill her.

Having this in mind, she shakily rose on her feet and made to run but before she could cover a cool distance, the long haired lady saw her immediately and used her magical rope on her, the rope tied round Muriel's waist and like a flash it drew her towards the witch.

The witch's face has clouded in rage as she holds Muriel tightly on her neck and raises her up, her feet dangling in the air.

Muriel struggles to escape from the vicious witch's grip but that's a wasteful try. Her effort hasn't reaped 0.1 fruit. It looks like struggling to push a big rock.

The grip on her neck was so tight that Muriel felt that her eyeballs might storm out from its sockets. She's feeling so much pain and darkness is clouding her slowly…. Muriel feels that her spirit is slowly leaving her body. Maybe it's a good thing, she will get to be with her parents after she dies.

Just when Muriel can't hold in and she is losing herself into complete darkness, she hears a strong and powerful growl and that was it… she falls into the deep darkness.

Alexander had his eyes closed as his head rested on the seat board. His body has been tense for hours and he just doesn't understand why he feels so uncomfortable. His blood is boiling and his heart has been beating since the early morning of today. He also feels so nervous, which is something rare and surprising. He's the Supreme Alpha of both the lycanthropes and the werewolves and he's known to be the strongest among the two creatures.

In many years of living, Alexander has never felt the way he's feeling right now, he has never felt nervous or tense or have his heart beating rapidly as it is doing right now. He wonders what's going on with him. It has been a long time since he let his wolf out, his presence and his alpha tone alone is worthy to scare his enemies away, also he has a very physical strength even without his wolf in action. Because of his strong alpha blood, he controls his wolf and lets it out whenever he wants but right now, his wolf is trying to come out without his consent, it is literally on the edge and this feels strange to Alexander, something like this has never happened to him… what is going on with him?

Alexander doesn't have any answer to his questions, he's only trying to force back his wolf inside, to lie where he has left him all these years but his wolf is fighting back at him and trying to surface. His wolf has never been stubborn, he always listens to him. But right now it looks like his wolf is trying to disobey him and have control of him without his approval and once that happens, the result is never good because he won't be able to control his wolf afterwards.

His beta, Dermot, is busy giving his report which he has off hand while controlling the car. He's talking about how the small pack under the rule of alpha Alvis are experiencing so much difficulty due to some rogue werewolves and vampires.

Alexander doesn't like receiving such information so the alpha of such a pack is well informed to pass the information to the supreme alpha through his beta or gamma.

Alexander finds such alpha weak with those silly complaints— as he calls it. He referred to them as weak and useless alphas and he thinks it is high time he starts replacing such alphas with more competent ones. He has already recruited many trained werewolves and lycanthropes to different packs. It is left for the alpha of each pack to know how to make those trained soldiers do their work properly. So Alexander never cares to listen to any complaint regarding the issue of rogues invading a pack. But his beta who knows how to speak to the supreme alpha without provoking him will always pass the complaints to the supreme alpha.

Dermot looks at him through the rear mirror, he wonders why he is so quiet. Though Dermot knows that Alexander is a man of few words, Dermot still knows that he would speak when necessary even if to let out one word but right now, despite him talking and talking for minutes, he hasn't received any reply from him. Even though what he's telling him is something he wouldn't want to hear, he was supposed to make a simple comment, even if it is 'shut up' but he didn't.

He has his eyes closed and Dermot wonders if he has fallen asleep but the supreme alpha is not someone that can fall asleep anywhere, especially in a car.

Dermot found something strange with Alexander since early morning of today, he looked restless which is something very rare. The supreme alpha has been known for his strong mind and will and he's not someone that wavers or feels nervous but right now Dermot felt the opposite towards the supreme alpha.

"Alpha," Dermot calls gently, he just wants to know if the supreme alpha is okay. He literally flinched a bit when Alexander opened his eyes, his dark green eyes turned bloody red and it means one thing, his wolf is at the edge.

Dermot was dumbfounded, Alexander's wolf has never forced himself out of Alexander. He can only come out if Alexander allows it but right now the case is different.

Seeing how Alexander is struggling by blinking his eyes constantly, Dermot knew that Alexander wasn't the one that let his wolf out, his wolf forced himself out and this is not a good thing.

The next thing Dermot heard was Alexander's rough voice.

"Stop the car!"
