21 Chapter 21: Departure

Zelphyr had decided against seeing this last person directly, thus he quickly started to use the 'Call' function to contact them. Due to the personality of the individual, Zelphyr felt meeting with that person right now would only hinder his plans or at the very least prolong them.

His call connected, and a muffled voice was heard. Its gender or age was completely masked causing a slight discomfort for Zelphyr who was the recipient.

"Lord Zelphyr! It is a pleasure to receive this call"

While the voice didn't sound excited, Zelphyr knew their excitement was true.

"Are you well Shadow?"

He asked the excited person. While it was true he was avoiding them right now, it wasn't because he disliked them or had anything against them. In fact, he would very much like to go and check on them in person, however should he choose to do so, he would have to change everything.

"Of course My Lord, you have granted me a large responsibility. There is no way I would slack"

Reassurance filled Zelphyr when he heard the words of the person, at the very least, the person was no unhappy with their current position.

"Although, I must say, I am missing your presence My Lord"

The voice took on a sad tone despite not revealing any true details about the owner of the voice.

"I apologise for my distance, it just isn't the right time. I promise that when my next job is stabilised, I will visit you"

The voice giggled with what seemed like glee.

"That's a promise my Lord. By the way, what is your current task?"

"My next task is infiltrating and establishing myself in a kingdom of this New World. It will help us in the future as we currently lack knowledge. This was another reason as to why I got in contact."

A small sound of acceptance was heard by Zelphyr as he continued on.

"I am leaving the Great Tomb of Nazarick for a while. Currently, I do not know how long it will take as it depends on the competence of the beings of this world, however it will likely be for a few months. As a result, I am going to leave Nazaricks final defense to you"

Zelphyr held a lot of trust in this person, in fact it was the same amount of trust he held in Cinder. The likelihood of them betraying him was virtually zero as they were well-equipped against mind-control and outside influences as well as already having an extraordinary amount of faith in Zelphyr.

"Understood, Lord Zelphyr. I will not let anything happen until you return, I will also be waiting to finally see you again"

After say his words of thanks, Zelphyr cut the call and started to go through his mental checklist, making sure he had done everything he needed before he left. After all, if his estimations were right, it was highly likely that Master Blacksmith would have the items ready within 2 days. His skill was astonishing when it came to craftsmanship, although he lacked combat skills as a result. However, that was a small price to pay for Nazaricks future.

Two days had passed and Zelphyr got a notification from Albedo saying Master Blacksmith had completed his tasks. A small smile crept upon his face as he found out his prediction was right, as well as being faced with the fact of how capable Master Blacksmith truly was.

Without hesitation, he teleported down into Master Blacksmiths area, and walked towards the door. Unlike before, this time the doors were wide open likely because he was expecting a visit from his Lord.

A proud looking Master Blacksmith stood within the room with his chest pumped out in what seemed to be pride.

"Master Blacksmith, you seem to be excited"

Receiving a nod, Zelphyr entered the room and walked up to Master Blacksmith.

"Indeed My Lord, I am quite happy with my creation this time. I am sure it will be to your liking My Lord"

Zelphyr nodded as he followed Master Blacksmith deeper into the workshop. Unlike its outside appearance, each room was very large, giving Master Blacksmith and his helpers to work on alrge projects with ease.

Eventually, they came to the final room, it was much cooler than the workrooms before and seemed to be full of finished products. In the center, there was a large object covered by a grey sheet. Judging by the outline, it was obvious to anyone as to what it was.

"Would you like to unveil it Sir?"

Master Blacksmith spoke with an eager tone. As Zelphyr watched him, he saw a slight shaking of excitement from Master Blacksmiths legs as he spoke to him.

"Here we go"

Zelphyr grabbed the sheet and pulled it off easily. As the sheet detached from the object, a lustrous deep purple absorbed the light from the room. It s deep colour gave off a mystical feeling rather than a domineering one. It's regal colouring exuded an air of majesty, when combined with the golden rims that showed off his wealth.

"Very extravagant, it will work nicely. You did good Master Blacksmith"

Master Blacksmith body shook in excitement at the praise from his Lord. It made the intricate processes and time taken completely worth it.

"From what I can tell, it is indeed a good improvement when compared to my original design"

Master Blacksmith nodded his head.

"As someone who prides themselves to be at the Peak of Craftsmanship, ensuring My Lords needs are met from every angle is par for the course. It is sturdier but has many built in mechanisms to make sure it is the fastest carriage in the land"

Zelphyr was pleased with the results of his first impressions, at first, he entertained the idea of trying to replicate a vehicle that didn't have the use for a beast pulling it, an automobile. Unfortunately, such an endeavour was not something he would be able to pull of with his surface level knowledge. While it was true he had researched the construction of a car, the New World was not the same as his world before. In fact, he was not sure that the materials he knew from his original world, retained the same properties as the one in this one. Therefore, Zelphyr decided to make it a project to research in the future when The Great Tomb of Nazarick is more stable.

"Let us take it for a test"

Zelphyr said to Master Blacksmith. After receiving a nod of approval, Zelphyr and Master Blacksmith made their way to the 6th floor using 'Gate'. Unlike his previous visits, Zelphyr took them to a large expanse of land with the Amphitheatre in the distance. It was mind-blowing that a field much larger than a football stadium was housed within a floor of Nazarick, even Zelphyr who virtually built the Great Tomb Of Nazarick often forgot the sheer size of the Nazaricks floors.

"Aura"

Zelphyr spoke out, causing a small figure to launched themselves over. The figure soared through the air and landed perfectly on the ground with two feet planted safely.

"Lord Zelphyr! Welcome to the 6th floor! Wow what is that? It looks so cool!"

Aura bubbly voiced sounded out as she jogged closer to the two. Her eyes were sparkling as she saw the carriage before her.

"Do you like it? Master Blacksmith made it, I intend to use it when I leave tomorrow"

A melancholic look clouded Auras face as she spoke, it was evident that she did not like the idea of Zelphyr leaving.

"It is a brilliant carriage My Lord, perfect for a Supreme Being."

Zelphyr crossed his arms and nodded in agreement. He then turned to Aura, feeling a tinge of guilt as he saw her downcast expression she tried to hide behind her smile.

"By the way Aura, I have a request. I would like to use some of your pets to pull this carriage, two will be enough. I believe they will be able to protect us on our journey and are strong enough to take us anywhere"

A smile bloomed on her face at Zelphyrs request, after all, if she couldn't protect her Lord by accompanying him herself, then wouldn't it be just as good to have her pets protect him in her stead?

Aura put her fingers to her mouth and whistled in a high pitched tune. In the distance, two large animals ran towards them. These were similar to wolves however they also had an air of intelligence to them.

"Fenrirs? Aura, these are amazing beasts, however they are something that will draw too much attention. While I appreciate the concern, Sleipnirs will do. I assure you Fenrir's, you will have your turn, I promise."

The Fenrirs just nodded and left, they did not seem too let down, but rather eager for their chance in the future. On the contrary, Aura had a conflicted expression.

"Wouldn't it be better to have strong companions?"

Zelphyr placed his hand on Aura head and patted her. a satisfied smile replaced her previous conflicted expression.

"It would be safer, however if we turned up to a city that had no knowledge of us, with what is equivalent to an army of the average soldiers of this world, do you think they will react kindly?"

Aura shook her head.

"So what? Do we need to be friendly? Can't we just easily crush them?"

"Yes we can, but like I told you in the throne room, if handled poorly, eventually we will be overthrown by something. History shows us that leaders who can only use fear, will surely perish at some point"

Aura mulled over Zelphyrs words, trying to make as much sense of it as she could. In the end, she decided that Zelphyr had a big plan and all she had to do was follow him.

"Ok Lord Zelphyr, I will get the Sleipnirs"

After a couple of minutes, Aura and Master Blacksmith hooked up the carriage to three Sleipnirs. Originally, he only planned for two, however Aura was adamant that he took three if he was to use Sleipnirs.

"Fetch Naberal, we will do a practice run now, and leave tomorrow"
