18 Chapter 18: Reveal Meeting

Zelphyr sat upon his throne with his head held high looking over his eagerly waiting subjects.

"This is the second time we're here after our transporting to this New World. I am pleased by everyones devotion and will be rewarding everyone accordingly."

All of the gathered members thanked Zelphyr in synchronisation as large smiles grew on their faces.

"First of all, I would like to bestow something upon you all. Here, take these."

Saying this, 'Rings of Ainz Ooal Gown' appeared out of thin air and landed in front of each of the floor guardians. Each member showed different expressions, however the pure joy they felt was shared by all.

"These will allow you to instantly travel around Nazarick without exerting yourselves. It will be very helpful during your duties and if there are any emergencies. But there is a rule, no-one is allowed to take these outside of Nazarick. After all, no matter how weak, should someone have access to these rings, they can infiltrate even the deepest floors of Nazarick without fighting"

The floor guardians nodded with serious expressions as they all equipped the rings.

"Now then, Shalltear, I would like you to report the status of Carne Village to everyone here. I will answer any questions afterwards"

Shalltear smiled at her lord as she confidently started to speak.

"Of course My Lord. It seems that they have assigned roles to everyone and are working on repairing the village at the moment. As for the girl you asked me to keep an eye on, she seems to be leading the direction of the restoration. Even the village chief has started to consult her on some subject it seems"

Zelphyr nodded, a feeling of satisfaction welling up inside himself.

"Good, that is perfect. It seems even without a tragic event, her natural abilities are starting to shine, although I doubt she will grow very fast with such menial tasks"

Hearing Zelphyrs words, Shalltear spoke up once more.

"I apologise for my rudeness, my Lord. However, please enlighten me as I do not see why you have placed an investment in that village. From Albedo and Demiurges findings, was there no more developed villages slightly further in?"

Demiurge nodded his head whilst looking up to Zelphyr with undisguised eagerness. He had been thinking the same ever since he was told the plan. Even though he had superior intellect, he could no fathom why his Lord did what he did.

"That is simple. It is not the village as much as it is the girl. Of course I intended to use the village as a foothold in this human dominated world, however after finding Enri Emmot, the value of the village rose significantly."

This time it was Albedo who spoke up.

"But Lord, she is just a normal villager. When we first met her, she was crying over her father being cut down due to his own actions. The only positive I found was that she recognised your magnificence"

Zelphyr sighed as he thought about his wording.

"She has an untapped potential. One that I could not see in others of the village, thus I want to see how that potential grows when influenced by Nazarick and its large power. Much like I tested the laws of this domain, I would like to see what sort of unnatural and natural limitations this worlds residents has"

This was all truth, after all, Enri had a lot more value than just her sweet personality and pretty looks. As a viewer, Zelphyr always disagreed with Momongas decision to place Enri below Nfirea in importance. While it was true that Nfirea was a brilliant alchemist and a good talent holder, those traits are very limited considering the man himself is useless without someone who is stronger sponsoring him. On the other hand, Enri has the potential to be a brilliant commander who can develop at an incredible rate by herself when given a slight boost.

"In the future, I want to see how she develops and see if the people of this world are able to become worthy to invite to Nazarick"

Conflicted feelings flittered across the guardians faces as they heard his words. Alas, they realised that it was a good plan that had very little drawbacks.

After a few more questions, Zelphyr moved onto the next subject.

"Now then, the rats we captured, are they still alive?"

Demiurge nodded at Zelphyr with a slightly cruel smile.

"Indeed Lord Zelphyr, they're all alive and ready to be useful"

Zelphyr frowned slightly. He had no issue torturing and testing on these men as they were criminals and enemies, however he had to make sure they did not break.

"Do not go too far, they are precious subjects. As for the captain, leave him until last and use the grunts as a way to learn the formula behind the strange spell binding it. That magic is not the magic we are familiar with"

His words received a nod from Demiurge as he had already been assigned to this. As a demon, Demiurge was used to dirty tasks as well as his high intelligence will grant him one of the highest chances of cracking the construction of the magic.

"As you command My Lord, I am honoured to be granted this opportunity"

"Well then, this is the final situation to address. Our next move."

A tense atmosphere enveloped the throne room as Zelphyr spoke those words.

"From the information I have gathered, there are a variety of kingdoms within this continent. Many of these kingdoms are ruled by humans"

Looks of disgust surfaced on the faces of the guardians, even Mare seemed to display an uncomfortable expression hearing his words.

"I would like to stay away from these for a while. From what I can tell, we can squash them at any moment should they oppose us but, humans are similar to cockroaches. If they're not handled properly, they will cause a lot of annoyance and eventually cause bigger problems to arise"

The looks of disgust softened slightly as they heard Zelphyr likening them to cockroaches.

"Lord Zelphyr, wouldn't it be easier to just take them all over?"

Aura questioned with a perplexed expression. Agreeing with a nod, Zelphyr explained with a slight smile.

"It would be very easy Aura. Quite frankly, any one of use could probably storm a city by ourselves and conquer it in less than a couple of hours. Nevertheless, it is not the humans who pose a threat, it is the beings who possess power comparable to us."

The leader of the Magic Casters of the Slane Theocracy that we captured, possessed a sealing crystal that contained an Angel Monster inside of it. Currently it is being appraised in the library, but there is no doubt that Yggdrasil influences are present in this world. Thus, it is not a stretch to think that the strongest beings of this world could perform feats similar to the Floor Guardians.

"Lord Zelphyr, I feel that we, the Floor Guardians, would be able to fight these beings, even if it cost us our lives"

Albedo added her opinion into the conversation.

"It is true that you could, it is also highly possible that we can resurrect you. However, it would pain me to send any of you out to die. Therefore, I do not plan to even factor that into any of my plans. After all, a Supreme Being has no need for suicidal plans"

The floor guardians stared at Zelphyr with awe. Had anyone else said that, they would have dismissed them as naive or unable to face reality, however this was their Supreme Lord claiming it.

"Anyway, our next step is to make contact with another country. We will do this whilst remaining in the shadows to the world, the only members who will be in the open world are myself and Naberal."

Immediately, protests were thrown towards Zelphyr as the Floor Guardians tried to dissuade him from personally exposing himself. Each one spoke over the other, until finally, a low toned voice spoke in a threatening voice.

"Quiet. Lord. Zelphyr. Is .Waiting"

The noise abruptly stopped as everyone guiltily looked up at their Lord who seemed to have been waiting.

"Thank you Cocytus."

"It. Was. Nothing. My Lord. Although. I. Agree. With. Their. Sentiments."

Cocytus spoke with concern. It was hard to discern it due to his particular way of speaking, however Zelphyr could feel it.

"I would like to thank you all for the concern. It has to be me for the plan to run smoothly. The same applies for Naberal. She has a similar fighting style to me which will contribute to our 'identities' on the outside. There is a specific kingdom which I intend to make relations with."

Albedo tilted her head before speaking.

"Is it the Empire, Lord? They seem to be the most developed and thriving settlement at the moment"

He shook his head at Albedos guess.

"Not them, the Kingdom we will be making relations with is the 'Dragon Kingdom'"

Looks of realisation surfaced on the guardians faces as they realised the intent of going there. From the name alone, it gave an idea as to what awaited them.

"It is a Kingdom that is allegedly run by the Great Granddaughter of the 'Brightness Dragon Lord'. Such an ally is incomparable to a populace run by humans who scheme amongst themselves despite it only weakening themselves."

Unlike before, comments of agreement flooded in from the Guardians. After all, they were excited to be closer to fulfilling the dream of their Lord.

"Now then, lets talk preparations"

The meeting went on as they formulated plans and Zelphyr listened to the input of his vassals.
