1 Krypton, hours before its destruction…

Jor-El stared at the darkening sky from inside his laboratory. He saw many of his people on the streets enjoying life, oblivious to their dire fate. He sighed, as he walked to his holographic computer terminal.

"Computer, calculate the time of planetary destruction."

"Estimated time of destruction 3 hours 47 minutes."

Jor-El sighed again and thought back to how things got to where they are now.

'How could the council be so blind, I gave them all the evidence they needed to see the truth, and in their pride and greed they doomed an entire planet and its people.'

Jor-El slammed his fist against the terminal.

'They might have thought keeping me prisoner in my house would be enough to stop me from leaving the planet, and they're partially right, but I will not let their mistakes kill my infant daughter'.

Jor-El walked towards one of the cabinets and grabbed a memory crystal. 'I might not be there for you my daughter, but I'll make sure you know of your people and all they've accomplished and the mistakes they have made'.

Jor-El walked back to the computer and placed the crystal against its body, the material touching the crystal turned malleable, sucking in the crystal.

"Computer, start uploading yourself inside the memory crystal and give me an estimate when it will be done."

"Estimated time of completion 13 minutes 40 seconds."

After the upload was completed Jor-El took the crystal and left the lab to find his wife and daughter.

Lara Lor-Van held her daughter in her arms, fighting to hold back tears. Next to her stood her husband Jor-El, with a grim and stoic countenance, but she could see that his eyes were red.

"This is not fair."

"I know."

"I will never be able to do her hair, teach her how to dress up, do make up or anything mothers are supposed to teach their daughters."

Lara started quietly sobbing, thinking of all the things her daughter would be missing. Jor-El put his arm around her in reassurance, and looked at the time on his bracelet computer.

"It's time Lara."

Lara quelled her tears and reluctantly put her sleeping daughter inside the spaceship built for a toddler. Afterwards she placed a red and blue blanket over her, with the insignia of the house of El.

"What if they dont welcome her, compared to us they're practically primitives."

"With the powers she gains from the yellow sun to them she will be invincible and Rao willing she´ll be found by someone who'll treat her like family."

Jor-El took the memory crystal from the pocket of his lab coat and placed it inside a compartment of the ship and placed a kiss on his sleeping daughter's forehead.

Jor-El started navigating his bracelet computer, closing the hatch of the spaceship. Lara started crying against his shoulder, while the roof of their house started opening by the sliding doors. Afterward Jor-El set the course for the spaceship and confirmed it. The spaceship started levitating slowly towards the newly opened hole in the roof.

"Goodbye Kara-El, your mother and father will always love you, wherever you are, never forget that."

Once the ship made it past the hole its warp core engine activated, taking it, and the baby inside it toward its destination light-years away. Once the ship was safely away the prophesied destruction finally began, and ended with parts of the planet flying across space in every direction, including the one of the ship.
