One More Ghost

Finally, Chen walked up to the door with the light shining through it, but this time, as he was about to put his ear to it, he suddenly noticed that there was a peephole in the middle of the door, installed upside down, as if to let people look in from the outside.

 Chen didn't think too much and just stepped forward to take a look.

A lot of fresh blood soaked the whole room!

A broken corpse was lying in the middle of the room, and a man with his back to the door was shaking violently with an axe in his hand.

"Don't blame me for being ruthless, blame yourself for being stubborn!"

"It's all because of that woman, Lexi, she forced me to do it!"

"It's come to this, how can I possibly give up? You know I need money, a lot of money. Lexi can give me that money and with it, I can start my own business and then we can still be together!"

"I really didn't mean to kill you!"

At the end, the man suddenly burst into tears, as if he really felt guilty.

The man's crying abruptly stopped when the lights went out, as if the play had suddenly ended and everything in the room became silent.

When the lights came back on, the blood stains and the figure of the man had all disappeared, as if nothing had happened. "This must be what happened when Emily was murdered. I wonder if there is a deeper meaning behind this," Chen thought.

At that moment, he noticed bloody words slowly seeping out of the wall, forming a message on the white wall.

-"Do you think you can just leave me like this?"

-"Do you think your sins will go unnoticed?"

-"No!"

—"I won't let you off the hook!"

—"I can't have you, and you'll never find her either!"

—"I want you all, dead!"

A chillingly gruesome string of words, as if they are the embodiment of endless grudge!

Love can be as strong as hate can be as mad!

At that moment, crackling, a light sound came from behind. Chen turned his head back and saw the ghostly female corpse, which had somehow crawled to his back.

"Oh no, it's here..."

Fortunately, Chen was ready this time. Instead of retreating, he rushed towards the female ghost and swept past her, rushing into the corridor!

The creaking sound of bones came from behind, indicating that the female ghost would soon catch up. Chen had no time to think, he just turned his head and kept running downstairs.

At the same time, his brain was running wild.

What hint did the second plot trigger add?

The most obvious thing is that a third person has appeared in the story, that is this Lexi.

 Emily's resentment is not only directed at Jay, but also a death curse is cast on Lexi!

—I can't have you, and you will never find her either!

—I want you all to die!

These two sentences already give us a hint. It is very likely that Lexi has already died, died at Emily's hands!

Is the plot here suggesting me to find the second dead person in the story?

Chen stifled, could it be that his previous guess was completely wrong, and the woman called Lexi is actually not dead?

He hesitated for a moment before answering, "Are you Lexi? I have an urgent matter to speak to you about! You are in danger now..."

"Danger?" The woman on the other side evidently was taken by surprise, "What danger? I don't understand what you mean."

Chen suppressed his inner restlessness and asked, "Lexi, I have something very important that I must find you right away. Where are you?"

Just like in many horror stories, at this critical moment, a strange noise suddenly came out of the receiver.

"Where are you?" Chen asked again, emphasizing his words.

"Are you looking for me?"

"I'm right behind you, aren't I?"

A chill ran down Chen's spine as he suddenly felt a strong sense of déjà vu, accompanied by another thunder. Behind him, a dark figure slowly emerged from the darkness. It was a woman in red clothes, her face hidden by her long black hair. She was standing with her limbs hanging straight down, looking at Chen with a cold and malicious expression.

This wasn't the Emily from before. In this story, there was another female ghost.
