11 Chapter 11 - Community Hero Work Begins

Meeting All Might on top of an apartment building, he was looking around for anyone that needed help. Landing on the roof behind him, I asked what the plan was for today.

"Good Afternoon All Might, what's our game plan for today?", I asked.

"A fine afternoon too you as well Young Clark!", he laughed, "I thought we'd go on patrol, and see what villainy we can thwart today. The police were kind enough to give us a few leads on some suspicious activity that they needed checked out. Shall we get headed out?"

"Of course.", I replied.

"Think you can keep up?", he asked.

"You are joking right? I can fly from here to the US in a fraction of a second.", I chuckled, "Where we headed?"

"A small airport located just outside town. Reports say that some planes that aren't on the logs have been showing up, and leaving without reason.", he said, "They need us to go in, and ensure that no funny business is going on."

"It may be my inexperience, but doesn't search and seizure fall under police jurisdiction?", I asked.

"Under normal circumstances yes, in this case they believe a group of villains are smuggling in supplies of some kind.", he stated, "One of the men seen getting off the plane is name Phantom, he is a notorious art thief and bank robber."

"Ah, they need us to flush them out.", I said, "Not a problem, lead the way."

Following him while flying overhead, we got to the airport in no time at all. Getting a vantage point from high overhead, I used my x-ray vision to look for anything out of the ordinary. Finding a series of tunnels under the airport, I informed All Might immediately. Asking where they went, I grabbed a scrap piece of wood and used my heat vision to engrave the wood with the pathing of the tunnels. Looking at my map he gave me a big grin.

"That's thinking with your head!", he said, "What would you do in this situation?"

"Block off all methods of escape leaving one way in and out. Since I can see where everything is there is no chance for them to have a secret exit.", I stated.

"Good, it also means the public is less likely to be caught in the crossfire of fleeing villains. This airport may just be a small one, but there are still a lot of people that come through here.", he said, "What's your plan?"

"I can fly around and seal the exits.", I said pointing them out, "Once I get back you go in first, and I will stay behind you. I assume you aren't going to want me to fight immediately anyways so I will be at the entrance to ensure no one leaves or gets the jump on you from behind."

"Excellent plan!", he said, "Quick, efficient, and well thought out."

"Thanks.", I stated.

Sealing the other exits with giant boulders, I ensured they wouldn't budge easy by melting the stone to fill the cavities for a tight fit. Giving All Might the all clear, I pointed out where the people were, and where anti-personnel equipment was setup. Nodding his head he took my words to memory, and ran inside. Taking out guards in all the places I warned him All Might questioned rumors that I wanted to build a team. My skill set made me a literal one man agency so he didn't see why I would make an agency if I could do it all myself.

Watching the surroundings for any activity, I gave my dispatcher a call letting them know we had captured some smugglers. I asked for the police to dispatch a few cops to come pick them up for us. Confirming the dispatcher said they were ten minutes out. Looking up into the sky, I saw a rather fancy looking prop plane flying our way. Sticking out of sight as they landed I saw some shady looking people disembark the plane. Pulling out crates labeled with 'Fragile' on them I used X-ray vision to examine the contents. Finding sculptures, art work, and some rather expensive looking jewelry I decided to intercept them alone.

'Looks like we caught the rat on his way through.', I thought.

Since technically they were among the people we were after, I flew over to catch them in the act.

"Excuse me gentlemen, mind if we have a little chat about the contents of your crates.", I asked.

"You got a warrant?", they asked in a joking tone.

"X-ray vision, I can see the items you have in there.", I said with a smile, "Why don't we be civil and talk? I'd rather not have to beat you up."

Hearing my words, they bolted in all directions. Sighing I caught all of them, and bound them up with some rope they had on the plane. By the time the cops showed up, All Might was carrying the people he took out from his point of entry. Seeing I had caught some people as well he nodded his head with satisfaction as he saw the cops pull up. Even though we didn't catch the mastermind himself, his henchmen were a good start. Cuffing them and seizing the stolen goods the cops thanked us for a job well done. Giving them the map I made, All Might suggested they take a team down there to retrieve the other stockpiles of items stashed there.

After giving them them our report, we asked about the other jobs they had. Stating they had put a freeze on them till warrants could be obtained, we were free to patrol normally. Nodding our heads we ran into the city to start walking around. Telling me that most of this job was simply making our presence known, I kind of felt that was stupid. A smart villain would have eyes all over the city, and just strike where a Hero wasn't. Sure All Might was fast, but not all the Heroes were. If this is how Heroes operated I wasn't really that surprised they had so many problems.

As we were walking around town, we stumbled across a driver that for some reason or another wasn't paying attention where he was going. Speeding to a light that was red for him, it was clear he wasn't going to stop and there was an old woman in the process of cross the street. Dashing in front of her, I lifted the car off the road only a view inches from hitting her. Turning to me, with her blurry vision she gave me a smile.

"Come to help a young woman across the street?", she laughed.

"Yes ma'am.", I said setting the car down, "Allow me to escort you safely across the road."

Helping her across the crosswalk, I walked over to the drivers window and tapped on the glass. Rolling down his window I found that he was on a phone call. Taking the phone from him I tossed it on the seat next to him.

"That was someone's mother you about killed. Think of the nondrivers as your mother when you are driving, you wouldn't want to kill her right?", I said narrowing my eyes.

"Of course not!", he shouted.

"Then don't talk, drive, and speed together!", I snapped, "You will kill someone one day, and no amount of money will replace that life once it's gone."

"I...I understand.", he said with a sigh, "I will be more careful moving forward."

"Thank you, now be on your way citizen.", I said letting him go.

Walking back over to All Might he nodded his head. Patting me on the back he said that being a Hero meant handling both the little and big things, no matter what they were. Continuing our walk around town I kept an ear out for trouble. By late afternoon it looked like nothing big was going to happen till I heard an alarm bell going off across town. Alerting All Might, he told me to lead the way. Rushing towards the sound, we arrived just as the fire department was pulling up to a burning apartment complex. Several floors were already ablaze with many windows blown out on the bottom levels.

"Get those hoses hooked up!!", the captain shouted, "You lot get the people back immediately!!!"

"Are we permitted to intervene in these circumstances?", I asked.

"Absolutely, if you have a power that can assist them please use it.", he said.

Flying up to the mid level of the building, I used my breath to blow the fire out in a matter of moments leaving the firefighters in shock.

"The hell just happened!?", the captain shouted, "What did you do kid!?"

Flying down to him, I informed him I blew the fire out like a birthday candle. Stating that the building was rather unstable, I said I would fly the people trapped upstairs down to them. Flying back up I started getting families out of the building while All Might handled the bottom floors. Arriving on the scene of the fire, reporters were a little confused where the fire was. Seeing the fire engines putting their hoses away, they asked what had happened. Pointing to me they said I put out the fire in seconds. Getting their cameras out, reporters started snapping pictures of us taking people out of the building, and got interviews from people we rescued.

---Deku's House---

"Dear, your friend's on television!", his mother called out.

Running into the living room, he saw me flying people to the ground on mattresses. He was about to say something when he saw All Might come into view on the screen.

"HE'S WORKING WITH ALL MIGHT!!", he said with excitement, "Mother he is working with All Might as a Hero!!"

"I can see that dear.", she said with a smile, "If he is working with All Might now, maybe you should ask him to get you an autograph."

"That's a great idea!!", he said, "Which figure should I have All Might sign?"

Going over the options in his head, his mother couldn't help but laugh joyfully for him.

---Ochaco's House---

"He is working with All Might!?", Ochaco gasped, "I didn't know that Clark was doing Hero work now!"

"I suppose he was going to tell you soon, but something came up.", her parents said.

Looking at me flying people down, she held her stuff animal tightly with a smile on her face. She liked watching me be a Hero, it made feel really happy for some reason.

---Momo's House---

"So this is why he cancelled today's hang out.", Momo said watching the broadcast after being called in by her parents.

"Getting upset he chose Hero work over your group?", her mother teased.

"No!", Momo said puffing her cheeks out.

---Bakugo's House---

"Hey Bakugo, your friend's on tv.", his mother said.

"What friend!?", he shouted coming downstairs.

"Clark's on tv working with All Might.", she laughed, "Isn't that cool?"

Seeing the broadcast his facial expression tensed up.

'That extra beat me to becoming a Hero!?', he thought, 'Just cause he has some power means he's better than me!? I will show you that I will be number one, not you Clark!!'

"You going to say something?", his mother asked looking back at him, "You aren't jealous or something right?"

"Shut up you hag!", he snapped before he remembered it was his mother he was talking too.

"Who you calling a hag you ungrateful brat!", his mother said jumping over the couch to catch him as he bolted, "Get back here Bakugo!!"

---Apartment Building---

Getting the last family out of the building, we made sure that everyone was accounted for. Doing the head count, one family said that they were missing a child. Looking inside the building with my x-ray vision, I found the child still asleep in it's crib. I was going to got retrieve the child when the supports on the ground floor started warping.

"All Might the child's on the Third Floor!!", I shouted, "I got the building!!"

Buying him some time, I attempted to use my cold breath to reinforce the pillars but too many had already failed. Seeing the building start to tilt towards the crowd I flew under the building, and took the weight myself. Getting the child out safely, All Might turned back to see me holding the building up. Shifting the weight completely off the support beams, and onto my shoulders All Might hid his shock beneath his smile. The apartment building I was holding went up nearly twenty-five stories. Watching me lift it off it's foundations the crowd, reports, and All Might all let out at collective gasp.

'I have lifted heavy objects, but this takes the cake!!', All Might thought.

Using heat vision to start welding the support pillars back, the people outside watched like they were seeing a miracle. Once I had repaired the supports I ran to a scrapyard, and got more metal to reinforce the pillars. Crushing cars with my bear hands, I heated the metal up and used my hands to manually shape the metal as needed. My friends and family back home just sat there watching me like I was some sort of master craftsman.

Making sure my pillars were secure, and solid I sighed once it was done. Examining the site more thoroughly I came to the conclusion that someone did this purposefully. The beams crumpled way to easily almost like they had been mostly been cut before hand. Question was what was worth killing a bunch of people for here. Using x-ray vision to locate any potential hidden rooms, or hiding villains I found my answer thirteen stories up. Flying up there, I found an abandoned apartment with power equipment needed to chisel cement and cut steel. Bringing All Might up along with some cops, we watched their back while they did an investigation.

"What do you think?", he asked.

"Start asking the neighbors.", I stated, "There has to be a nosey neighbor that saw something."

"Agreed.", he said.

Asking people about the apartment, they said the former tenants moved out nearly four months ago. The owner had been doing some renovations recently to improve the apartment. No one thought much of it except for the an elderly woman who lived at the end of the hall. Showing us her logs of comings and goings from the apartment, she even showed us pictures of the men.

Handing the matter to the police, we continued on our way. All Might stated that the police would call on us if it went anywhere so for now we would continue patrolling. As it got late, All Might took me to a more dangerous part of town where villains were known to hangout. Realizing that it was only a quarter of a mile from Toga's apartment I was glad she wasn't staying there now.

"So what kind of villains are we talking about?", I asked looking down from a building.

"Any thing from break ins to murder, it's a dangerous place over here. Normally I wouldn't bring someone your age here, but someone of your caliber is safe.", he laughed.

Using my X-ray vision on the street below, I found a dug out cavern underneath complete with bars, clubs, shops, and a lot of criminal activity. Looking to All Might I told him what was down there, and even he was skeptical. I hadn't been wrong yet though so he made a few calls. If there was as many criminals as I was saying we'd need a lot of man power to haul them away. Showing up with a large group of twenty minutes later, I peeled the pavement and city utilities back to reveal the underground complex.

---Underground---

With All Might suddenly starting to redouble his efforts several criminal groups took things underground to continue business. Since All Might couldn't see or hear them down there they felt safe. There were Heroes that could find them, but they didn't cover this area so they setup shop and were raking in the cash. That night they were hosting some very powerful people from different crime families to celebrate a recent marriage. All of them were enjoying themselves till the lights went out, and the ceiling was peeled back. Looking up they found the cops, several Heroes, and I staring down at them.

"Well fuck...", several people said.

---Above Ground---

"Hot damn, we hit the jackpot!!", the Commissioner laughed, "Bronson Lightning, the Yagami Family, Jack Reaper...damn we are going to have a full house tonight!!"

In total there were three crime families here with nearly a dozen high profile villains in attendance. Pulling out their weapons to fight, the villains were unsure of the odds here. Not only were the cops here there was All Might, Endeavor, Midnight, and several other Heroes. None of them expected to be caught like rats in a trap like this with no way out.

"Might I suggest surrendering peacefully?", I asked flying overhead, "I would rather not have to put you on ice."

Several bodyguards pointed their guns at me which I promptly cut in two with heat vision. With their firearms gone, the bodyguards felt even less sure about this. Since no one was responding, I used my cold breath to freeze the group in ice. They wouldn't die as they were effectively flash frozen, and all biological functions were frozen as well. Looking up at me the Commissioner gave me a thumbs up. With them frozen solid there was no need to worry about a firefight now so his men went to collect them.

"This kid everyone's talking about?", Midnight asked giving me a grin.

'I feel in danger right now...getting Ara Ara vibes from her.', I thought.

"Yes this is Young Clark.", All Might said.

"Impressive work, but my son could do better", Endeavor said.

'Such an asshole...I know your dirty secret you terrible excuse for a Hero. You only married your wife to produce a child that had both your Quirks.', I thought hiding my disgust, 'I feel sad for your family that suffers under your heel. If I could prove your guilt I would...but I will let your son handle it. It's a family matter after all...'

"Something the matter brat?", Endeavor asked.

"The only ones allowed to call me that are Gramps, Smoky, and Gran Torino.", I stated, "Clark is sufficient for now."

"I will call you what I want kid, you better get it through your-"

"Whatever you say Candlestick.", I said waving him off.

I really didn't want to deal with him at the moment. After this morning's revelation I was likely to use his stomach as a punching bag. Before I got away though, Midnight hugged me from behind causing me head to get sucked into the danger zone. Telling me that I had done a good job, she didn't recognize that a young boy like me likely would have issues with this gesture. Blocking out the marshmallow like things engulfing the back of my head, I asked what we were doing next.

"I think this is quite enough for today.", All Might laughed, "I have too finish up our report here while they chip out the criminals. How about Midnight takes you home?"

"I can fly!", I quickly reminded him trying to get free without hurting her.

"Nonsense, come on my temporary assistant and I will see you home.", Midnight laughed.

Looking over to see the future Mt. Lady with her I started to really get try to slip away. While I thought they were good looking I wasn't ready to be smoother just yet, they could comeback in a few years when I was older. Right now I was only interested in building relationships, serious ones. Neither of them were likely to take me seriously so I just wanted to leave. Asking her to let me go she said no stating that she would make sure I got home safely. Calling my dispatcher I told him I was calling it a day. Immediately dragged off by Midnight and Mt. Lady, they insisted on treating me to a meal for a job well done.

"Have fun with your babysitters brat, it's about all their good for!", Endeavor sniped.

I heard the two women start grumbling calling him a piece of shit, and an asshole. After we were gone the Commissioner started talking.

"Poor kid, those two are the last people he wants to dine with.", the Commissioner chuckled.

"Why because they are single?", Endeavor asked.

"If they get to drinking I hear they can be quite a pain.", the Commissioner said, "I heard their last partners ran screaming from their apartments."

"What...you mean we let them take him then?", All Might asked.

"I am sure he can handle himself.", the Commissioner said rubbing his hands together, "Just wait till the mayor hears about this bust. He will be eating his words that the kid was too young for this. Add in the stolen international property you two located, his first night will go down as one of the most successful in Hero history!!"

---Restaurant Downtown---

Sitting me down between them the two ordered Sake right out of the gate. Both women were light weights, and were hardly able to to act civilized after finishing their first bottle. They were laughing, and carrying on like sisters though my shoulders seemed to be their armrests.

"You did a good job kiddo!!", Midnight laughed, "We can treat you some ice cream!!"

"While that is kind...I just want to go home.", I said.

"Nonsense, you have celebrate occasions like this!!", Mt. Lady hiccupped.

"When it's my first day with a real license, I will.", I said trying to not smell their perfume which was rather overpowering for me.

"Hehe we will celebrate then too!!", they shouted, "We will make a night of it!!"

'Not if you get this plastered...', I thought, 'Don't need your bad habits spreading to my friends...'

"Come on, smile a little!!", Mt. Lady said, "Just a bit of fan service from us won't hurt you!"

"Please...can I just go home?", I asked, "This is uncomfortable..."

"Haha you feeling a bit uncomfortable with us? You aren't old enough to be feeling something from us, right?", Midnight laughed.

"Surely you aren't attracted to older women!", Mt. Lady laughed for a moment before she started crying, "No one is!! They only want a one night stand, and then runaway!! That fucking asshole Angel ran out on me while I was asleep!!"

'Your only 18...', I thought, 'Midnight should be 27...why are you acting like the world's falling apart. Also...why are you assholes sleep with you!?'

"You don't understand exactly how hard it is to find a good guy!", Midnight said to me, "All the good ones are taken, and the remaining men either have no interest or are playboys!!"

"Screws those men!!", they shouted.

'I am not a therapist...please get counseling.', I thought, 'Just let me go home, I want to check on Toga.'

After another round of sake, the two started singing and then blacked out on me...literally. Sawing logs at the table, I paid the tab and had to carry them home after checking their Hero Licenses. I saw some very unnecessary information that I didn't need to know about their sizes. Apparently their cards had pretty much all their information one would need if they were identifying a corpse that was beyond recognition. Taking them to their apartment, I didn't bother changing them out of their costumes as that would be a bad idea for my health.

Plopping them on what I assumed were their beds, I attempted to leave but was grabbed by Midnight who wasn't sober enough to realize I was ten.

"Where are you going..? Aren't we...we going to make a mess of the bed!?", she asked, "I am still good looking, why don't you take me!!"

"You are drunk...please go to bed.", I said.

"I am not drunk damn it!! You were all over me after the photoshoot!!", she said swaying in bed, "You were wanting these!!"

Ripping the front off her suit, two watermelons plopped out. Unfazed by this I told her to go to bed because she was making a fool of herself. When I didn't react the way she wanted she fell over bawling her eyes out saying no one wanted her, and that she'd die alone. I knew she ranked very high on the polls for most attractive Heroines, and I agreed. If I was six to eight years older I might have considered comforting her in bed, but I am not the type to take advantage of a drunk woman.

"Why doesn't anyone want me!? I act flirty, tease a bunch of people, and only get players!!!", she cried.

'You have got be kidding me...', I thought.

"All Might doesn't date, Endeavor is married and is an ass, Best Jeanist...well he is weird, and Hawks is just not a loving guy!!", she cried.

'That's four people...there are hundreds of eligible men out there!!!', I thought.

"Come on, please just let me have it! I haven't been with a special someone in nearly six months! He left me for some elastic powered woman who he said was less needy than me!!", she shouted, "All I asked was for him to text me, and act like a couple!! Is that too much for a girl to ask for!? So what if I whipped him when he didn't respond fast enough!!"

'Maybe if you stopped flirting with every man you see, and don't lay into with that sadist attitude maybe they will stay!', I thought.

Getting her some water and hangover meds, I knocked her out with a chop to the neck. Not attempting to stuff those things melons back in, I covered her up and again tried to leave. Making it into the living room, Mt Lady jumped on me.

"You were in there with Midnight!? You cheater!!", she hiccupped.

"Mt Lady...go to bed!!", I sighed, "I want to go home!!"

"Come to my room, I will show you why I am better!", she said.

"Mt Lady, I don't have time for games. You and Midnight both need help, you are terrible drunks.", I stated, "Please go to bed, and sleep. I will bring you medicine for the morning."

"Give me your number...", she hiccupped.

Giving it too her she smiled, puked on me, and then passed out again. With a twitch I washed off the vomit, wiped her mouth off, and put her in bed with the meds on her nightstand. Finally making it out, I sighed with relief as I looked up at the sky.

'You know...maybe sticking with girls roughly my age is best. Best not involve myself with them again, ever.', I thought, 'Good luck with that though, when they wake up I am going to be the one with headache.'

Flying home for the night, I checked on Toga who was still out before getting ready to sleep myself.

---Midnight and Mt Lady's Apartment---

Waking up the next morning with wicked hangovers, both women regretted drinking. They had worked long hours the day prior with minimal breaks so the alcohol hit them quite hard. Looking over next to them they saw a glass of water and the pills. Taking the medicine the two walked out into the living room forgetting who they took drinking with them.

"You got a guy?", Midnight asked.

"No, what about you?", Mt Lady asked.

"You remember what we did last night?", Midnight asked, "I found medicine on my nightstand with a glass of water."

"Same here.", Mt Lady groaned, "You think the guy took something?"

Checking the apartment they found nothing missing. Putting it to the side for now they turned on the TV, and saw a recap of the bust last night. They were relaxing till they heard about the two of them taking me away. Opening their eyes they looked at each other.

"The kid!!!", they shouted.

"Oh lord what did we say or do!? I can't remember!!", Mt Lady said.

"My top was ripped off, did I try seducing him!? If he reports us our careers are over!!", Midnight gasped.

"Let me see if I have his number!", Mt Lady said looking through her contacts.

Finding my number she called me immediately to discuss what happened. Putting me on speaker, I told them everything causing them to shriek in horror. Usually drinking with men their age, or by themselves the two panicked realizing they let their guard down since I was a kid.

"Clark...please tell me you won't-"

"What happened last night was under the influence of alcohol. Anything you said or did wasn't voluntary so I have no intention of reporting you. That said...please get counseling, and stop throwing your bodies at men. If you have to use your body to keep them around they aren't worth anything because they will leave you when your older. Have more pride in yourselves for being strong, independent women.", I said ending the call.

Looking at each other, they both started laughing.

"To be scolded by a kid, how far have we fallen?", Mt Lady laughed.

"He is even being nice, and not squealing on us.", Midnight said, "That said...there is something we are forgetting."

"What's that?", Mt Lady asked.

"He's the first guy who answered the day after!", Midnight snapped.

"Damn your right!!", she retorted, "Maybe we have been pursing the wrong guys. Doesn't sound like he snapped pictures or anything, and he certainly didn't take anything."

"He's ten, the worst he'd do is fondle them.", Midnight said.

"Doesn't sound like he did.", Mt Lady replied.

"Agreed, maybe in a few years we can pounce on him.", Midnight laughed, "Doubt he'd be interested in two older women."

"Well both of us are curvier than the majority of other Heroine.", Mt Lady said, "By the time he is in U.A I will have my license, and he will be old enough."

"That's true...how we will handle it though? Both of us can't have him, right?", Midnight asked.

"Why not? I hear it's a common thing elsewhere in the world. He is certainly going to be our type based on his bloodline.", Mt Lady said showing a picture of my dad in his youth to Midnight.

"Oh damn...you know fuck the men in our group. They are yesterday's news, for now let's work on our Hero Ranking and wait for that future hunk to age like fine wine.", Midnight said.

"Amen sister!", Mt Lady laughed.

"Here's to our future!", they said clinking their glasses together only to wince in pain at the sound it made.
