Ch. 51

Kenji focused himself and held the trident that impaled him, and tried to pull it out with his remaining strength.

Even though he was impaled by a magic weapon, which is his weakness, Kenji still has some strength to pull the weapon out and kicked Frost in front of him.

Meanwhile, Frost just put his hand towards the place where Kenji is about to hit, blocking it but he still skidded backward.

Frost stared at his bruised hand in surprise. Just so you know, he used all of his remaining mana, to increase his strength greatly, and Kenji who was impaled by him could still push him away.

"Impressive," Frost mutters in amazement.

Even though Kenji is a mortal, his body seems to be like a God.

Yes, Kenji is possibly the Vessel of the Star Monarch, but he still hasn't fully integrated with the Star Monarch himself.

Thanks to the sun that is nourishing him, Kenji could feel his stamina growing back, while his impaled abdomen is slowly healing itself.

So he stood up and decided to take this battle to another place, somewhere, where civilians and hunters will receive no harm from the battle.

Speeding up, he arrived in front of Frost who just arrogantly waited for him there and just stood still.

"No matter what you do, mortal. You will never be able to defeat the True Monarchs." Frost sneered.

But Kenji has other plans, he grabbed both of Frost's arms with his two hands and flew far away up into space.

As for the Beast Monarch? He trusts that his father could hold him off for a while.

Speeding up in the air, Frost was confused about what Kenji wanted to do.

He then noticed that they were going far up in space, and he just sneered, "Do you think you could defeat me by taking me to space? Dream on!" He then raised his fist and punched Kenji in the face, repeatedly.

Meanwhile, Kenji just ignored the valley of punches and focused on bringing themselves into space.

Soon, they finally arrived in space, with Frost and him just floating in space.

"Do you think I need air?" Frost mocked him.

But Kenji wasn't fazed by this.

"What do you think defeats ice?" Kenji spoke.

As for could they speak in space? Kenji doesn't know, nor does Frost too.

"What do you mean?" Frost was confused by is he being asked a question. Though he knew the answer, which was fire, or extreme heat. But he bet that no one has the firepower to melt his ice.

As if reading his mind, Kenji spoke up, "I know that no one has the power to melt your ice."

He then continued while pointing behind his back, "But he can." Frost looked over where he is pointing and saw the Sun in its full glory.

Having a bad feeling about this, he was about to retreat when he was grabbed by Kenji once again and flew directly towards the sun.

"Unhand me, mortal!" He tried everything for Kenji to release him and even tried to use ice, but because they're already near the sun, it just instantly melts, much to Frost's growing fear.

"No! No!" Frost was fear-stricken while staring at the sun.

He could feel the heat emanating off it, slowly licking his icy skin.

Because his whole body was composed of ice particles, his skin could instantly melt off, once it came in contact with something hot that his body can't withstand.

And that is the sun, who is killing him right now.

"NOOOOoooo!" Without even hesitation, Kenji dived right through the sun, with Frost, melting in his arms.

The first one to melt was his skin, then his flesh, and finally, his bones.

While Kenji watched him die slowly, and painfully, without any reaction.

Because he was wearing a normal suit earlier, it obviously can't stand the heat of the sun and it also melted, leaving Kenji in his birthday suit.

While at the same time, he could feel his growing strength, just by being in the center of the sun.

While Kenji was bringing Frost towards the Sun, back on earth.

Beast decided to target Chikashi since Kenji was gone.

"Oh, hell naw." Chikashi shook his head and slowly backed away.

He knows how strong the Monarchs are, and he's not gonna risk his life fighting against one without any helper.

He hasn't even fulfilled his bucket list yet, no way he's gonna get himself killed in here.

So without hesitation, he retreated, while Beast followed suit, not caring about the Hunters that are trying to be quiet in fear of being noticed by him.

And seeing that Beast followed Chikashi, the Hunters sighed in relief, while at the same time, guilt. Because if it wasn't for Chikashi then they'll be dead by now.

And when Chikashi needed them the most, they kept quiet in fear of dying.

But out of all of them, Iroh, who just woke up and saw what happened, was the first one to stand and followed where Beast and Chikashi had run to.

Soon, others followed too, not being able the fact that they just left their savior on his own.

However, not all of them followed, almost half of them decided to get away from the battlefield and escape.

While some decided to retreat and call for more backup.

This is the first time they encountered someone this strong, who could even force an A-rank like Chikashi to flee.

Not to mention, they watched earlier how the blue-skinned guy, stabbed Kenji in his abdomen, showing the might of the enemies.

But that doesn't mean they will cower and hide until the situation is solved.

The reason they became a hunter was to protect their home, planet, and their family.

Although some just wanted to become famous, and then involve themselves in politics.

Soon, the battlefield that was full of battles was submerged in silence, until Kenji came and landed on the floor.

"Where are they?" Kenji confusedly asks. He just went away for a few minutes and when he came back, they were all already gone.

"H-help." Kenji heard a very silent mutter, if it wasn't for his super hearing then he'll probably miss it.

So he turned and lifted a huge stone that kept an old man underneath.

"Are you okay," Kenji asks.

"I'm fine, thank you." The old man then tried to stand up but fails.

Kenji just assisted him and asks, "I'm looking for my father, have you seen him?"

"Yes, yes, he ran that way followed by the Mighty Beast and some hunters. Thank you for your help, but I think your father needs your help more than I do. Thank you, young man." The old man then slowly walked in a distance until he disappears.

Seeing that the old man would be fine, he dashed towards the location where the old man pointed at while at the same time, using his super hearing to locate their exact location.

*Boom!*

*Boom!*

At a distance, Kenji heard an ongoing battle and rushed towards the place.

Once he arrived, he saw Beast and Chikashi having their showdown, assisted by Iroh and some still-standing Hunters.

Meanwhile, with Beast's sharp claws, he kept breaking the barriers that Chikashi kept putting up to protect himself.

Once he destroyed another barrier that he put up, Beast's other claw was already in the position to strike and kill Chikashi.

However, before he could do that, he felt a force ramming him like a speeding bullet train.

*BOOM!*

Both Beast's limbs were cut off, while his chest was bleeding, courtesy of Kenji who showed no mercy.

And before Beast could regenerate, he felt a sudden force towards his head, cracking it and dizzying him.

Then a kick to his ribs threw him far away just as fast as a father who bought some milk.

*Bam!*

He felt his head being grabbed and continuously being slammed on the floor, creating a huge crater and causing a 9.6 magnitude earthquake, around the vicinity.

When Kenji was done, he saw the disfigured face of Beast, who was already healing very fast.

Not only that, but his arms have also regenerated, which Beast used to slash towards Kenji's chest, who stepped back and gave him a spartan kick to his chest.

Beast was once again thrown far away, but he used this chance to escape by slashing the space behind him, creating a gate-like portal, that he used to escape.

However, Kenji foresaw all of this, and immediately dashed towards the gate, along with Beast.

Once outside the portal, which was green scenery, full of trees, grass, and some animals.

"Hah. Hah. Hah. Good thing I escaped in time." Beast, who was breathing heavily due to fear and exhaustion, finally sighed in relief, not knowing the impending doom just right behind him.

"Are you sure about that?" He suddenly heard someone say behind him, making him jerk his head back, just to see his greatest nightmare, staring right through him.

"A- ah." Beast just left his jaw hanging, while trying to form some words, he doesn't know whether he should beg for his life or laugh at the sight of Kenji, butt-naked with his little brother hanging like an elephant's trunk.

Of course, Kenji doesn't care about what he said, and directly grabbed both of his shoulders, while his eyes glowed in red.

*Zoom!*

Red beams came out of his eye sockets and directly penetrated Beast's eyes, down towards the ground, destroying everything in its path, including Beast's insides.

Once he was done, Kenji finally stopped and gave himself some time to admire his piece of art, which is a jumbled mesh of flesh.
