1 Chapter 1 Apocalypse Doomsday

The child opened his heavy eyelids and realized he was sleeping on a cold metal floor when he felt its chilly touch on his cheek. He awoke, confused, and found himself in a dark room. The walls and floor of the chamber were fractured in several places. A fluorescent lamp with four bulbs was embedded in the ceiling, but three of the bulbs were shattered. Beyond the thick wall, there was a muffled roar, as if someone was hammering a battle drum with a hammer.

The young boy began to panic. He had a searing headache and couldn't remember what had happened before he lost his memory, but he knew he shouldn't be in such an unpleasant environment. It felt like a high-tech prison. He stumbled to the door, pounding on it with his fist as he yelled. To his surprise, the metal door crumpled like paper and slammed to the ground with a resounding thud.

He was taken aback. The metal door panel should have weighed more than 200 pounds, but it had crumbled with just one punch. However, he couldn't remain astonished for long, as the scene that greeted him outside the door was even more horrifying.

The wailing earth, the dark red sky, and the black creatures that covered the sky like dark clouds, fluttering their wings, seemed reminiscent of hell. It looked like the end of the world. He found himself in what appeared to be a military base, amidst dented tanks, burning armored vehicles, fighter jets, and dead bodies strewn everywhere.

All these anomalies informed him that he had entered a strange world. This was the first time he had seen a corpse. The sight reminded him of horrific war images he had seen on TV. The visual effect of witnessing them with his own eyes was completely different from the artistically produced images under the lens. The smoke of gunpowder and the stench of blood created the battlefield's distinct aura, making him nauseous.

He seemed to be the only living person there. He held onto a cracked wall, trying to resist the urge to vomit. He couldn't stop screaming when he noticed the bones in his hand. Endless noises assaulted him before he could adjust. He heard the shouts and cries for help from countless people, artillery shells exploding one after another, the cries of warriors as they met their deaths, and the flapping of the monsters' wings in the sky.

The overwhelming cacophony of sounds was unbearable. He fell to his knees, covering his ears, as if his mind was about to burst from the overload of information. At that moment, he realized that with his incredible strength, X-ray vision, and powerful super-hearing, he might possess other magical abilities yet to be discovered.

He might have superhuman abilities.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the city, the smoldering wreckage contained the remains of countless brave fighters, and the number of casualties continued to rise. The warriors fought valiantly against the never-ending army, defying the alien demon horde with their blood and lives.

"Come on, everyone! Soldiers!" General Sidman encouraged his troops as they prepared for the next charge. "The White House has delivered good news. As long as we survive this round of attack, backup is on its way!"

It was a lie. They had exhausted their reinforcements. The White House remained silent, all armies worldwide were losing ground, and they were the last troops in the city.

"General... they say Superman is dead, is it true?" a soldier asked nervously.

The general hesitated for a moment before falling silent. "They claimed that the Justice League was defeated the day after the enemy arrived, and they were all killed. But how could we have won if even they were defeated?"

The atmosphere instantly turned frigid. It was a question everyone avoided these days, as it presented a brutal and bloody reality that no one had the courage to face.

General Sidman remained silent for a long time, not responding. Finally, he said quietly, "Be ready for battle in 10 minutes."

Just as the world was on the brink of destruction, the ruler of darkness descended, pushing the world further into despair. He emerged from the heavens with a dark and burly form, and the earth trembled as his footsteps landed.

"General!" exclaimed the correspondent, "you... you must come and see this!"

General Sidman took a deep breath and approached the screen monitoring the frontline. He turned pale as he saw the black demon god walking toward his army like the ultimate king. Any obstacles were obliterated by the dark red energy beams shooting from his eyes. The powerful surge of electricity instantly dissolved their tank troopers, who seemed to vanish into thin air. The targeted fighter formation tried to avoid the light, but it pursued them as if it were alive, as if programmed to track them, and the air force was obliterated in less than ten seconds.

General Sidman sat down, his throat so dry and tight that he couldn't speak. He couldn't order his men to fight bravely because he knew it would be futile. The Black Demon could annihilate the remainder of his forces in a fraction of a second, if not less.

They were finished, and so was the world.

However, the indomitable black demon god suddenly stopped. He raised his head and screamed, dark red light pouring out of his eyes, nose, and mouth, as if in excruciating pain. His entire body exploded, like a balloon filled with air bursting from the inside out. A terrifying force beyond human comprehension shot into the sky and disappeared beneath the clouds in an instant.

The dark monsters grew restless and agitated, their leader's death causing chaos. For more than a minute, they flew about in confusion like headless flies before several massive vortices appeared above the city. Seemingly compelled to leave, the horde of monsters rushed into the air vortex and evacuated within ten minutes.

General Sidman stared in disbelief at what was happening on the monitor. The entire headquarters remained silent for an extended period, so quiet that even a needle dropping could be heard.

The invaders had fled; they had triumphed.
