Chapter 165: One Against Ten

"Thank...thank you!" The old lady was startled when she saw Robert, quickly thanked him, and knew she was a burden staying here, so she quickly ran towards another passage.

"Last time, they sent five monsters, but this time ten? Are all your people here?" Robert looked at the animal warriors in front of him, shook his head, and said softly.

"Huh? You know us? Wait! Are you the one who killed those defective ones last time?!" To Robert's surprise, the creature, which was either a werewolf or a gnoll, actually spoke. Robert remembered that last time these creatures only howled.

"You call them defective, but it seems, aside from talking, you're not any stronger than they were!" Robert glanced at the gnoll in surprise. In his senses, these animal warriors' aura was still fluctuating between hatred and something else, perhaps even slightly weaker, or more accurately, more stable, so they seemed less threatening.

With a boom, as Robert's voice fell, he disappeared on the spot, sensing that the old lady had evacuated, so he decisively acted, kicking the talking gnoll towards the direction of the secret base.
