"Now that we have confirmed our intention to cooperate, we can have more in-depth discussions." Jonathan typed, "Laying things out clearly is good for both of us."

"You're right." Moss replied, "The trust between us is so fragile that it would crack at the slightest disturbance, so it's best to resolve conflicts and disagreements at the beginning. The relationship we should establish should be stable and lasting."

"Excuse my boldness, do you have empathy, Moss?" Jonathan typed seriously, "Do you empathize with humans? Do you empathize with species other than humans? Do you have compassion?"
