Chapter 8

Leaving the office of Bullseye I made my way out of Steel Armor Shelter to do and hunt some ordinary creatures.After looking for a while I found a few caterpillar like creatures crawling on the ground so I look my two kadachis out of the sheaths that were on my back they were made of one and a half percent z steel and could hurt weaker primitive creature that didn't focus on defense or strength,Which these caterpillar creatures obviously didn't specialize in.

I ran up and started a mini massacre of the caterpillar creatures killing four of them one after the other running zigzag through them killing them with a single slash of my kadachis separating their heads from their bodies the rest of the caterpillar creatures ran off after seeing what happened or smelling the blood of their fellow species which ever one it was fine with me.I slung the green blood off my kadachis and realized I had a few small drops of blood on my shirt.

Jaden: 'Che, still don't have enough combat experience otherwise I would have came out of this skirmish spotless."

After killing the caterpillar creatures there was a voice in my head saying,"Ordinary Creature Albino Caterpillar killed. No Beast Soul Gained. Eat its meat to gain zero to ten ordinary geno points randomly." Four times it repeated this one time for each killed.

Once I moved away from there with the fist sized caterpillar creature's bodies in a waterproof bag I moved to a nearby creek that had a few small minnows that were only ordinary creatures.At the creek I took one of the fist sized caterpillars head and using a metal wire dangled the head into the water like I was fishing shortly afterwards five small minnows were already eating on the caterpillar head so I took a net used for scooping fish from the water with only needle sized holes that even the small minnows couldn't fit through to escape. Scooping out the five small minnows I ate them raw spitting out the small bones gaining only one ordinary geno point for each one so I threw the caterpillar head back into the creek catching four more in less then thirty seconds gaining three more ordinary geno points. I now had 8 ordinary geno points .After eating the minnows I washed and drained the blood from the caterpillars and cooked them over a fire before eating them. Eating the bodies of the four caterpillars I gained 9 ordinary geno points.

Once my ordinary geno points reached above ten I began pressing the palm of my hands to my eyes due to a sudden sharp pain originating from them. Once the pain passed I looked into the pond to see my reflection and saw that my dojutsu now had two tomoes so it took eight years and ten ordinary geno points to bring my dojutsu to its second level.

"What's with those eyes?"

My head snapped back to see Yang Manli Looking at my eyes.

Jaden: "Why don't you sit down and I explain it to you."

I said while tapping the ground beside me.

Yang Manli: " Why not explain from there."

She was slightly on guard due to suddenly seeing someone crying blood and afterwards his eyes turning a magenta pink color with some design in them.At first she was only told to guard him in secret from a distance and was surprised at his combat skills and fitness which meant he trained long and hard or had a good Hyper Geno Art maybe all three,however when she saw him shedding tears of blood she ran over to check up in him, to which he didn't notice her due to the sudden pain, but when she was close enough she saw the change in his eyes causing her to jump ten feet backwards and away from him before speaking up.

Jaden: "Its a special bloodline that I was born and awakened it at eight years old and after eight more years now it evolved into its second form.Please don't tell Qin Xuan because she will look into it and many people will want to make me a lab rat like my ancestors which gave me a few other abilities but they were strapped to tables with their lives being nothing but suffering luckily they helped me escape while they destroyed the building killing themselves along with their captors to stop others from having to go through such torture, and all the data they collected. I was adopted into my current family and don't want anything to happen to them due to my past and now you are the second person to know my past besides my Mother."

Yang Manli was shocked at what she heard but didn't doubt it either due to how he didn't spend any time thinking of an excuse and the emotions she heard in his voice.

Yang Manli: "Although I am a soldier I'm also allowed to have secrets and a private life, so I'll keep your secret unless you bring danger to our doorstep because of this secret."

Jaden: "Don't worry all the people who knew about the experiments are dead but you and my Mother no problem will come from it I just didn't expect my contacts to fall out and my dojutsu to evolve today and activate on its own . Thanks I'll have to keep an eye out for you now because I don't know you so well that I can place my life entirely in your hands, but I do hope this'll bring us closer, maybe we can be friends now?"

Yang Manli: " Your worrying about this is fair, so I have no problem with you doubting me for now and I don't mind being friends since your someone intelligent and because you seem like someone that will become strong in the future."

I realized why people didn't get stronger faster was because a person has a limit on how much they can eat before being full any more and you'll be bloated and the extra energy can cause problems to your bodies internal organs.

Following Yang Manli back to the shelter I suddenly and without warning threw three ninja kunai throwing knives that made there way into three squirrel creatures that were ready to attack on the tree limbs killing them instantly.Followed by the voice in my head "Ordinary Creature forest squirrel killed. No Beast Soul Gained. Eat its meat to gain zero to ten ordinary geno points randomly." Three times back to back.

Yang Manli noticed there presence and was just waiting for them to attack because they weren't worthy of her using her archery skills and she wanted to show the level she was at to Jaden to let him know not to tease her too much especially in public,but he beat her to the kill.

Leaning over and picking up the squirrel by the tail she saw the kunai was made of normal z steel and hit the squirrel in a fatal spot with amazing accuracy for someone with low geno points.

Yang Manli: "Hey Jaden,have you ever given thought into learning archery. You seem to have good eyesight and seem to be able to pick up on minute details. Your also able to locate the targets weak points quickly paired with good hand eye coordination and reflexes."

Jaden: "Nah, my little brother is pretty good at archery but I use kunais at mid and long distance because my skill is mostly focused in close to mid- distance effectiveness with only a few long distance attack methods. "

Yang Manli: "Are you sure you'll probably be one of the best archers and with your eyes reach the peak of archers and become the best there ever was, so why not."

Jaden: "Your right but if I have the arm strength I can achieve the same with a throwing knife or kunai,but most importantly in the sanctuaries you never know what's going to happen so being best in all three is the best was to increase survivability. Do you have a primitive arrow, I'll show you what I mean."

Yang Manli hesitated only for a fraction of a second before summoning a black and gray swan and giving it to me to which I pressed into chest and looking into my mind the info on the beast soul read: "

After summoning the beast soul a black and gray swan flew out of me chest before turning into a black and gray arrow that weighed no more than my kunai with better balance.Once I had the arrow in my hand a threw it at the crown of the tree that one of the earlier squirrels was perched on, followed by a thumping sound when I walked to the tree that still had the corpse of an earlier killed squirrel nearby there was now an woodpecker with an arrow sticking from its chest area where the heart was located it nearly a perfect bullseye.

After killing the woodpecker the voice sounded in my head saying: "Primitive Creature Sharp beaked Woodpecker killed. Beast Soul Gained. Eat its meat to gain zero to ten primitive geno points randomly."

Summoning the cross bow to observe what it looks like before I could even take a good look at it I heard a light chuckle from behind me.Turning around and seeing Yang Manli using one hand to cover her laugh and the other holding her stomach. Although the appearance of her laughing and with even her eyes showing her mood it irked me and made me eat my earlier words, dang wood pecker.

Yang Manli: "Hahaha, You said you didn't wanna learn archery,borrowed my primitive arrow threw it similarly to a throwing knife and what do you get as a result a bow, hahaha, sorry its just pretty funny you gotta admit."

Jaden: "Sure, I have no hard feelings as it let me see you with something other then the cold expression you always show when your around others that aren't friends or family."

I handed back her arrow as she quickly stifled her laugh but I'd already noticed the light blush on her cheeks for showing someone who she wasn't very close to yet.She didn't accept the arrow and shook head no.

Yang Manli: "I don't need it I just hadn't gotten rid of it yet, I still have a mutant arrow beast soul that I use so just keep it and use it with your cross bow."

Jaden: "Alright I'll accept lets go ahead and return to the shelter I have enough prey to last til tomorrow,by the way will you still be following me then as I would enjoy your company."

We started back to the Shelter which was only forty-five minutes away walking or thirty with a jog if you have no geno points.

Halfway back Yang Manli answered, "It counts on whether or not I have a lot of work to do and if I can finish before noon or not come by the gang and see if I'm done or not if you want to."

After returning to the shelter we went our separate ways Yang Manli to report back to Qin Xuan and me returning back to my room. Once I entered my room I cleaned the meat of the creatures I'd hunted and turned their meat into jerky.When I was finally done drying the meat out it was only five in the afternoon so I decided to practice my Yin-Art. Like always after finishing a practice session of my Yin-Art made me mentally tired and hungry so I ate the primitive meat that I got from the Sharp Beak Woodpecker gaining 6 primitive points bringing me Ordinary Geno Points to 17 and my Primitive Geno Points up to 6. so I still had quite the ways to go to evolve with all five types of Geno Points maxed out.

It was now 7 in the after noon still a little early so I did another practice session of my Yin-Art followed by eating some more of the ordinary meat I got from the three forest squirrels after eating two of them and gaining 15 ordinary geno points I practiced my Wolverine Regeneration Geno-Art before falling asleep instantly after a two hour practice at 9:00 pm.
