26. Interclass Competition 2

The event went quite well as the rest of the participants competed against each other very fiercely.

Now the top 15 will be participating further in the competition. The lots will be drawn and one person will be given the empty win to next round.

This was definitely a luck based chance to get ahead without doing anything. It was unfair to other participants but Life was never fair to begin with.

"Alice Abernathy will be given the seeded seat for next round. Give a warm applause for her luck". The announcer said enthusiastically as the audience gave claps to Alice's luck.

Alex didn't really mind as he was having fun competing with others anyway. Plus, it was giving him valuable combat experience as all the children had their own training. He didn't train in martial arts before but just dedicated himself in strengthening his body.

The matched went on with Robin meeting her match and stopping but not before giving the other guy a very tough match herself.

The guy had multiple bruises on his body as his back also had some slash like bruises. Robin had roughed him up good. It's only because she is a girl and has less strength than the other guy before upgrading to Tier 1 or it would've been another story.

Still Robin was unscathed, she only lost because she ran out of stamina before she could take the guy out in time.

"Next up, Alexander Oosuki vs Liam Fox". The next match was decided and Alex jumped on stage.

Alex jumped on stage as he a saw a buff kid coming up from the other side. The guy was carrying a big shield and a short spear in the other hand.

Alex was now feeling the pressure as this was definitely his match. Axe and hammers are good for heavy armoured and heavy shielded opponents but Axe are a bit worse off.

Alex readied his Axe as he looked at guy. He was putting power into his muscles and was ready to jump into at a given notice.

"I've seen you fight. You can't break through my defence". The guy said with a smirk, fully confident in his physique and the shield.

Alex didn't say anything for now but he won't let him so easily. As soon as the match started, Alex dashed as he appeared in front of the guy.

Alex cocked his arm and used every muscle of his body. The axe came down with a whistling voice and impacted the shield with a Bang.

The guy ricocheted as the shield fell off his hand. "My Axe can't break your Defence?! And Who decided that!" Alex said as he looked at guy sitting on the ground like a superior.

(A/N: Overused, I know but I couldn't help myself.)

The guy looked up at Alex and felt great shame and humiliation as he had just boasted about Alex not being able to break his defence but the next second, he was on the ground looking up at Alex.

Deep unwillingness welled up in his heart as he rolled away and stood back up before the announcer could give the results of the match. Alex didn't stop him as he would just put him down every time, he stood up.

Alex wanted to see on how long can this guy last. So he just stood there like before as he waited for the guy to stand up and take his stance.

"Come on then". Alex taunted him as he motioned him with his hand.

The guy was already quite pissed and this just blew his top. He rushed at Alex as he hid behind the shield that he had picked up and thrusted his spear at Alex. The spear was more of a pole with a rounded tip than a typical spear to keep safety in mind.

Broken bones in a match was okay. Heck, even severed limbs could be reattached like nothing happened but a lost life couldn't be returned.

So the organisers made sure that every weapon used in the match was safe at a basic level. All the weapons were rounded rather than sharp.

Alex just swung his axe against the spear as they collided with each other. The impact created a bang as Alex took half a step back and Liam took a couple steps back.

Alex sped towards him as Liam was stabilising himself and caught his shield with one hand and swung the Axe on the unprotected side.

Liam bought the spear in a horizontal stance quickly to block but since he was already unstable, he couldn't put much strength into it.

The spear fell from his hand as the Axe hit him on the chest. The collision caused a fracture in Liam's sternum and the area of impact quickly became blue.

Liam fell on his knees as he yelled in pain. Alex just glanced at him and walked down the stadium with the Axe on his shoulder liker usual.

The medical team quickly took Liam down and put him in under the care of the healers. Who quickly did their work and fixed Liam's fractures but he had passed out from the pain.

Alex returned to the seats amongst the applause from the audience. Although, there was a guy who was cursing him very loudly but just a look from the three Yandere mothers shut him up really good.

The guy was shivering in his seat from the pressure he had experienced in that moment. Alex smiled at the his three mothers, sending them in a daze and returned to his seat.

"Alex, congratulations". Alice was the first to jump towards him as she congratulated him.

Alex smiled as he patted her little head. Alice kept talking about his fight while experiencing the bliss of getting her head patted by Alex.

In the stands, one guy was very jealous when he saw Alex patting Alice's head. She never allowed him to do it but Alex was doing it effortlessly.

"Darling, where are you looking?" The woman beside him asked.

"Look there. That guy is doing bad things to my little Alice". The guy was Alice's dad and like most Dad's that are jealous of their daughter's boyfriend. He too was very jealous.

Although, Alex was not her boyfriend yet. But that didn't matter to Alice's dad, Alex was still patting his baby daughter and that was making him jealous.

"Oh, that's Alex-kun, he is a very sweet boy". The woman smiled and just said casually.

The guy was raging inside but he couldn't do anything about it. So he just chose to quietly sit in his seat and not embarrass himself in front of others.
