Alex might not be very knowledgeable on social interactions but even he could feel the shifting of his life. alex knew that his time at beacon would likely define him in the future so he took packing for it very seriously. alex finally dipped into his points to fully upgrade his weapon changing it to a dull golden color and increasing its weight by so much that he could barely fly five minutes with it on his back. other than that alex also created the armor he had been putting off for years draining his points to the three digit realm.

The scaled armor covered alex's six foot eight body snuggly including the flesh and bone parts of his wings. the lusterless black armor was intimidating enough but in addition to the helmet that alex shaped like a mix between a lion and eagle with a fanged beak made him look truly scary. thankfully alex could still barely fly with both the armor and his sword so it was still possible to adjust in the future. but he decided to use the strength drug he had been saving to solve the problem once and for all.

Drinking the drug alex didn't feel any different at first but slowly an intense itch started to come from all over his body. soon the itch intensified to the point alex had to make a serious effort not to scratch his skin off. he might have found it funny had the itch not lasted for close to an hour of the worst experience of his life. it was worth it however as once the drug did it's job alex noticed how his now half ton weapon didn't bother him at all to hold with one hand.

Once alex fished packing what he considered essential he joined the rest of the town for a going away party that lasted deep into the night. the next morning alex set off into the sky as everyone waved at him. following the red line showing the direction he needed to fly on his heads up display he rocketed forward. something alex found out was that if he controlled the air in front of him into a cone he could actually break the sound barrier. this level of speed was unusual for him as he lost all sense of sound since it couldn't keep up.

While maintaining that speed it only took alex a little over six hours to go from the southern peninsula to kuana koa. alex was stopped when he got near the capital city by the red fangs who picked up on a fast flying object with their radars. they were surprised when alex patched his helmet into their radio comms but maintained their professionalism. alex explained his objective of taking a transport to vale to enroll in beacon as well as how his arrival should have already been logged. a short moment of verification later and alex was cleared for landing and wished a good day.

Ghira got the news that alex had arrived before alex landed since he had asked to be kept abreast of the news. he could only smile while shaking his head when he heard the details such as alex flying at super sonic speeds. to ghira alex was already starting to show his dominance since he had never heard of a winged faunus reaching that speed without outside help such as boosters. the previous record for unaided flight speed was held by a peregrine falcon faunus at around a hundred and ten. that record was only for that individual diving as well whereas alex was horizontally flying.

Ignoring the new record alex had just set ghira ordered his head guard adam taurus to escort alex to him. ghira also put emphasis on adam not offending alex since ghira knew adam was very blunt in his speech. adam used to be a worker for the schnee dust company but after hearing ghira's speech decided to quit and work as a soldier in hopes of helping ghira improve the faunus race. this was great because it just so happened that adam left right before an accident happened at the worksite adam worked at.

Alex was quite impressed with the capital as it was built in a far more traditional manner then serg that was closer to brick buildings instead. he noticed how much more lively the capital was compared to serg as people were all over the place like a colony of ants at work. none of alex's awe took away from his sharp senses however as he noticed the approaching adam immediately. adam thought he would surprise the curious alex who was watching the city with a bright expression but nearly jumped out of his skin when alex looked right at him and greeted him casually.
