Asuma-sensei concluded his lecture, scanning the room with a serious demeanor. "Now, make the tiger hand sign and begin trying to access your chakra. This process usually takes about a week for most new students."
Asuma turned to them, "For those of you who have already accessed your chakra, begin chakra control training. You'll be practicing sand manipulation to enhance your control."
(Ninjas of Suna are adept at manipulating soft sand, which is primarily used for creating clones and disguises. However, this technique is less effective for offensive and defensive purposes. In contrast, Gaara's abilities involve more than just sand manipulation; he uses Magnet Release to control the materials within the sand, including iron sand. Gaara also possesses the capability to incorporate other materials into the sand such as hail and gold. His substantial chakra reserves as a jinchuriki further amplify his capabilities, enabling him to utilize sand in more powerful and versatile ways.)
Hayabusa, however, began to focus intently. The process was initially difficult; he struggled to sense the energy within him. Noticing his effort, Asuma-sensei approached him and offered advice.
"Focus on your breath," Asuma instructed calmly. "Feel the energy flowing through your body. It's there, just waiting for you to grasp it."
As Hayabusa followed Asuma's advice, he suddenly felt a surge of energy. A notification appeared in his mind: You have successfully accessed your Spirit: D! You have successfully accessed your Chakra: D! You have acquired Chakra Control: E.
His body released a small, calm aura that covered him like a protective layer. The sound it made was akin to the subtle hum of energy. Despite his internal excitement, Hayabusa maintained a stoic expression, suppressing his eagerness to explore his newfound power.
Asuma-sensei was visibly surprised. "Incredible," he muttered, "This boy's chakra levels are comparable to those of a Genin." His amazement grew when he realized that Hayabusa had accessed his chakra and demonstrated control over it in just one day. "This level of control is exceptional for someone who just awakened their chakra."
Hayabusa took note of his spirit's weakness, despite his old soul. He realized that many people in the ninja world had aged souls with weak spirits. He also noted that as long as he could comprehend a skill or control an attribute, he could access and acquire it in the system.
After the exercise, the students took a break. Hayabusa noticed that many of them were speaking in hushed tones about Temari. Her background as the daughter of the Sand's prominent figure and her apparent talent made her a subject of awe. However, she remained isolated, her calm demeanor setting her apart from the others.
The end of the school day approached, and the students began to disperse. Hayabusa made his way to a secluded area, where he continued his practice with the wooden sword he had come to rely on. The quiet of the secluded spot allowed him to focus intensely on his training. The wooden blade moved through the air with precision as he practiced his techniques, each swing honing his skills further.
An hour into his practice, Hayabusa decided it was time to test how his newly acquired chakra affected him physically.
First, his fingers forming the tiger hand seal. He concentrated deeply, channeling his chakra through his body. As he focused, he could feel a warm sensation spreading through him, amplifying his senses.
"Let's see what I can do now," he muttered to himself.
He crouched low, drawing on his chakra, and leapt into the air.
SWISH
To his amazement, he soared several times higher and faster than he had ever managed before, the ground below seeming to shrink.
THUD
The wind whipped against him as he descended gracefully, landing with ease.
"Impressive," he said quietly to himself, a hint of satisfaction in his voice.
Next, Hayabusa turned his attention to a massive stone boulder, six meters in diameter, that had been lying undisturbed in the training area.
SMACK
He stepped up to the stone and, with a grunt of effort, punched it, and though the impact made a thunderous noise, it only caused the boulder to tremble slightly. His hand turned red and ached from the force.
"Let's see how chakra changes things," he thought, gritting his teeth.
Hayabusa took a deep breath, assuming the tiger hand seal once more, and channeled his chakra into his fist. His hand glowed faintly with a soft, blue aura. He approached the boulder again, this time with a more focused and controlled strike.
CRACK
As his fist made contact, the stone cracked under the force of his punch. The punch left a mark of a fist with cracks around said mark. His hand, covered in chakra, did not hurt at all.
"The difference is night and day," Hayabusa murmured, impressed by the increase in his power.
He repeated the process, testing his speed and agility. He sprinted back and forth, his movements blurring as the chakra boosted his speed. Each step was lighter and faster, the ground beneath him almost appearing to shimmer as he darted across the field. His enhanced agility allowed him to maneuver effortlessly, performing sharp turns and rapid acceleration without breaking stride.
Finally, Hayabusa took a moment to rest. He could feel the effects of the chakra on his body—his muscles were invigorated, and his mind was sharper. He observed the difference between his strength and speed with chakra compared to without it. The chakra not only amplified his physical capabilities but also gave him a sense of control and precision he hadn't experienced before.
