Chapter 6

[I uploaded Chapter 7, but it isn't visible, and the novel doesn't appear in any of the tags. I might need to create a new book for this same story.]

Three months later, Hayabusa checked his panel:

Strength: D (4028/10000)

Speed & Agility: D (2865/10000)

Stamina: D (9501/10000)

Swordsmanship: D (3632/10000)

He joined the lines outside the academy, where a 25-year-old Jonin with a beard and turban-like headgear stood before them. His serious and intimidating demeanor commanded attention as he began to speak.

"Welcome to the Sunagakure Ninja Academy. Here, you will learn the skills necessary to serve our great village. The academy has strict laws and regulations. Breaking them will result in severe punishment," the Jonin said, his voice firm. "Respect your teachers, respect your peers, and above all, respect the village. We are Suna, and our strength lies in our unity."

After delivering some Suna propaganda designed to instill a sense of loyalty and pride, the Jonin handed over the proceedings to the teachers. Each teacher started calling the names of the students they were responsible for, directing them to form lines and follow them to their classrooms.

"Hayabusa," called out a 21-year-old chunin with squinting eyes, wearing turban-like headgear and glasses. He had unusually white skin for someone living in the desert, which was not uncommon to Hayabusa at this point.

As Hayabusa moved to join his group, he heard a name that shocked him inwardly. "Temari!" She was in the same class.

The surrounding students whispered and stared, but the intimidating Jonin quickly silenced them. "Everyone, shut up and mind your own business!" he barked.

Temari remained indifferent, ignoring everything around her.

The class moved to their classroom, which was yellowish like sand on the inside, but the desks were made of wood and arranged on stairs, allowing students at the back a clear view of the board and the teacher. The windows were circular, letting in ample light.

Once the students took their seats, the teacher introduced himself in a gentle yet nonchalant manner. "I am Asuma-sensei. I specialize in poisons, puppetry, and strategy. I dislike laziness and enjoy reading in my free time. My goal is to create a new type of puppet infused with poison."

He then asked the students to introduce themselves.

Hayabusa stood confidently. "I like swords, I hate nuisances, and my hobby is training. My goal is to become the strongest swordsman in the world," he declared with momentum, stunning everyone with it.

Temari introduced herself next. "I am Temari. I enjoy reading and practicing with my fan. I dislike pointless chatter, and my goal is to become a powerful kunoichi, worthy of my father's legacy." She spoke with a calm authority, her indifference adding to her intimidating presence.

The students listened intently, each introduction adding to the collective sense of competition and determination within the room.

As the introductions concluded, Asuma-sensei began his lecture with an authoritative presence that commanded the students' attention.

"Now, let's start with the basics of chakra," Asuma-sensei announced, his voice steady and clear. "Chakra is the essential energy that flows through every living being in our world. It is used for a variety of purposes, from performing jutsus to enhancing physical abilities. Without chakra, many of the feats we see in the ninja world would be impossible."

He walked over to the blackboard, picking up a piece of chalk. The chalk made a satisfying, crisp sound as he wrote "Chakra" in large, neat letters. His handwriting was meticulous, each stroke precise.

"Chakra is created by combining physical and spiritual energy. It flows through the chakra network within our bodies, similar to the circulatory system for blood," he continued. "Using too much chakra can be dangerous. If a person exhausts their chakra reserves, it can lead to severe fatigue or even death. This is why it's crucial to manage your chakra wisely."

Asuma-sensei glanced around the room, ensuring everyone was following. He saw Hayabusa's focused expression and Temari's calm, attentive demeanor.

"Everyone in this world has chakra," he explained, drawing a diagram of the chakra network on the board. "But what separates ninjas and modern samurai from civilians is the ability to harness and control this energy. Ninjas use chakra to perform ninjutsu, genjutsu, and taijutsu. Modern samurai, on the other hand, use chakra to enhance their physical combat skills, but they do not perform ninjutsu or genjutsu."

He paused to let the information sink in before continuing. "To access and use chakra, one must learn to feel it within their body and then learn to control its flow. This process involves meditation, focus, and a lot of practice."

Asuma-sensei demonstrated a basic hand sign for meditation, showing the students how to focus their energy. "Begin by closing your eyes and taking deep breaths. Focus on the energy within you, feel it flow through your body. This is the first step in accessing your chakra."

He returned to the blackboard, writing down key points and adding illustrations as he spoke. The room was silent except for the rhythmic sound of the chalk. His explanations were clear, and his neat handwriting made it easy for the students to take notes.

"Now, let's discuss the practical aspect," he said, turning to face the class. "We'll start with basic exercises to help you sense and control your chakra. Remember, this is a skill that will develop over time with consistent practice."

Temari remained focused, her expression serious and determined. She occasionally glanced at Hayabusa, noting his unwavering concentration.

Asuma-sensei concluded his lecture with a final piece of advice. "Mastering chakra control is fundamental for every ninja. It will enhance your abilities and ensure your survival in the field. Take this seriously and practice diligently."

The students nodded, absorbing the wealth of information. Asuma-sensei's professional demeanor and thorough explanation had set a strong foundation for their journey in the academy.
