Reason.

''Ugh...Where am I?'' asked a boy that was currently floating in a black void and unsurprisingly no one answered him. The boy was of course none other than the MC Kaito. Kaito looked around and frowned when he noticed the void ''Fuck...Did I die again?''

Kaito just floated there for a few minutes in silence until the silence was broken by a white curly haired boy, red eyed boy with a big smile and curly eyebrows. The boy looked almost cartoonish when compared to Kaito who only looked slightly animated. The red eyed boy who was wearing only white clothes appeared in front of Kaito and said ''Aw...I was hoping you'd freak out and scream like a certain useless goddess!''

Kaito just stared at the red eyed boy with a deadpan expression before asking ''So...What are you? My dark side or something?''

The red eyed boy just laughed and said ''If one of us was the dark side then it'd definitely be you! But let me introduce myself.'' A 3 piece suit and top hat suddenly appeared on the boy as he took off the top hat and bowed saying ''I'm you! Well...I'm your Quirk but that's still a part of you so...yeah.''

''I see.'' was all that Kaito responded with before he asked ''So I finally awakened my Quirk?''

The red eyed boy smiled and said ''Yes~! And that's why I'm here. To tell you a few important things before yo- I mean WE wake up.'' Kaito just nodded and the red eyed boy said ''Alright prepare yourself for a long and I mean very VERY long context dump.''

The boy took in a big breath that wouldn't be humanly possible and said ''Alright so firstly and most importantly the two of us will fuse and your personality will indefinitely change. Will it change for the better or for the worse? I don't have a single clue! But what I do know is that it will change. This isn't how this usually works but our circumstances and Quirk isn't very normal so this is mandatory. You'll unlock your full capabilities when you're strong enough or you're about to die...I hope the latter doesn't happen but it's not really in my control so I can't do anything about it...I mean I probably could but I doubt that'd be very fun!'' The boy let out a laugh before turning to Kaito to see if he understood.

Kaito just stood nodded at this which made the boy smile before he continued ''I'll give you some tips on how to use your powers and what to do when it comes to your rubbery body. I would give you tips on Haki too but there's not much you can do to further your progress besides just having an Unbreakable Will which you'll probably get after we fuse.''

Kaito responded by saying ''I see... I think I have a pretty good understanding on how Haki would work so it's fine...'' The boy just smiled at this.

''You know...you really should say what's on your mind. You'd be surprised by how much it helps clear the mind! Seriously it feels like there's nothing there sometimes...Or maybe I'm just dumb! Shishishishi~'' said the boy with a gentle smile on his face.

Kaito hesitated a bit but finally said ''Thanks for the concern...Is this considered care or self-care? Hahahaha...''

''There we go! Horrible joke but at least you tried to make one...hopefully our jokes won't be that bad after we fuse.''

''I do have one question though.'' said Kaito with an unreadable expression.

''I know...We're the same person remember? And to answer that question...No, you won't disappear. It'll probably be me that disappears and gets absorbed by you so I guess it's not technically fusion. Though you will change a bit. Probably for the better now that I think about who you're absorbing! Shishishi~''

''Anyways let me give you some advice on the rubber portion of your powers.'' The boy then went on to explain everything about the stretching and retracting.

It was fairly easy to understand for Kaito. His body would naturally stretch without needing to relax or anything like that and to retract it he just has to pull it back. It's pretty easy to imagine so that's easy to get down. The techniques are hard to get down but he just has to be creative with it.

After what felt like hours of boring explanations, the red eyed boy sighed and smiled before turning to Kaito and saying ''Well... This is as far as we can go on. Dad is a bit worried so we should finish up here.''

Kaito looked a bit conflicted before he asked ''I don't know if we'll meet again so let me ask you this, from one half to the other. What should we do after we wake up? What will we do after we fuse? What's our goal going to be? I don't know about you but...I really don't want to get a boring job.''

The red eyed boy simply answered ''Well...This world is...interesting to say the least. There are Heroes everywhere but people are still denied Freedom and has to suffer a lot. So I think that's what we should we working on. I don't know if you'll agree but I want to make this world a place where everyone can smile freely! It's kinda expected coming from me but that's what I want. I want to be a Hero!''

Kaito had a conflicted expression when he registered what he had just heard but his expression quickly turned to resolution as he said ''I'd like that too...helping people...but I don't want to just be a Hero. That's not high enough for someone like us. If we're going to be a Hero then we might as well be Number One!''

The red eyed boy was ecstatic when he heard this and smiled brightly before saying ''Thanks for choosing this world by the way...I hated not being able to do anything when people were sad. So thank you. I hope you make this world a better place with your powers. Even if you can't make everyone smile, just please give a smile to those who need it. That's more than enough for me, Kaito.'' The red eyed boy's eyes were on the verge of spilling tears but he quickly wiped them off before extending his hand with a smile.

''You're asking a lot from a guy who met you just a couple of hours ago.'' said Kaito with an unreadable expression but it soon turned into a smile as he took the red eyed boy's hand and shook it before saying ''Don't worry! I'll work hard and make it a reality. You're giving me your powers so it's the least I could do for you, Nika.''

Just as Kaito uttered his name Nika smiled before turning into some sort of yellow-ish energy that went into Kaito's hand.

Immediately after the energy went into Kaito his eyes turned red and his smile became bigger ''Ahh~ This is going to be so troublesome! Hopefully I can get strong enough by the time I get into UA. Shishishi~''
