1 The whirlpool of SCREW YOU

My name is Lynx Clawe. I am 22 year old and I work at home at my workshop.

I do carpentry and smithing for work. My products include:

- antique looking wooden furniture with old school metal accessories.

- hand-made violins and guitars

- wooden bows

- knives and metal accessories

- and of course I made some swords in my forge

I mostly do things on request or sell it in my online shop. But I keep a few good ones just to have fun myself.

Well anyway, it's summer and a heatwave hit our area with temperatures over 40°C.

"Holy shit, I'm dying… The pools are probably filled to the brim and even the AC is not working fast enough…"

I'm lying on the floor of my house fully naked. My appearance is that of a tall slightly muscular guy, brown eyes and long brown hair.

"Hm? What about the river? No matter how many come, they won't be able to fill it. I guess I decided."

I go put on some swimming trunks before leaving the house for the river. The river had some people already there, even some familiar faces.

"Hi! So you came too?" Lynx

"Of course! No reason to stay at home holed inside. The river is quite the nice temperature." Friend

"Great! Then let's test the water!" Lynx

I start running over some boulders inside the river towards the deeper water before jumping. But right as I jump, the place where I will land opens up into a small whirlpool.

"Fuck me…"

Is the last thing I could say before disappearing in the hole.

...…..

But to my surprise, the scenery totally changed. It's not a sinkhole leading underground, nor did I arrive in the underworld… At least not yet.

"WHY AM I STILL FALLIIIING?!"

I keep falling through a purplish smoky void with no end in sight. Soon after, pain arrives in my head causing the greatest headache I have ever experienced. The pain moved through the entire brain until it concentrated in the front causing my forehead to shine with light.

The light shines brighter until it splits into innumerable rays escaping my head down below. There each light formed a giant hard covered book with their names printed on them.

As I have quite high velocity from falling I start to dodge the giant books while glancing at the names.

"JoJo's bizarre adventure, Harry Potter, The mysterious island, Journey to the centre of the world, The house of the scorpion, One piece,..."

As I keep dodging it, the books only become harder to evade. Soon my head bursts through the first book leaving me in a daze as something enters from the book into me.

"Summoning… "

With my body changing trajectories, I burst through another book with my back.

"Collaborations… "

In complete daze I fully fall into the last book, this time disappearing from the void.

.....

"GUAAAH! Haaaah. Haaaah."

I sit up while catching my breath as if waking from a nightmare. After a few seconds I manage to calm my breathing before I start to curse.

"Mother fucker! Really?! So many people were there and at that moment you decided to create a whirlpool?! And what was that void with books?!"

Looking about, I somehow landed on a wooden ship deck. I can hear the waves and sea birds squeaking around. Scratching my aching head, a voice addresses me from behind.

"Who are you and how did you get here?"

Turning my head to look behind me, I saw a man in a white shirt, black pants, shoes, a hakama and three swords strapped on his belt. He also has short green hair.

"Uhhh??? Where am I even?" I look confused at the familiar looking guy.

I also see some others around with one guy with a straw hat landing beside me. From surprise I jump and roll away.

"Haha the guy is funny! You are on the Going Merry. The ship of the newly made Straw hat pirates!" The guy with the straw hat says.

"... The what now?" I couldn't believe my own ears.

"The Strawhat pirates." The green haired guy stares at me menacingly.

I look at myself, seeing only a bathsuit and then each person on the deck. Identifying them as Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Nami and Usopp.

"... Please excuse me a moment, let me confirm that I'm not asleep." I walk towards the mast, grab it and then headbutt it a few times.

Shaking the pain away I turn towards the pirate group and bow under their confused gazes.

"Please let me join your crew!"

"WHAAAAT?!" Everyone besides Luffy loses it.

"HAHAHA! You are funny as hell! Okay! " Luffy just laughs and agrees promptly receiving Nami's wrath.

"DON'T RECRUIT EVERY WEIRDO THAT COMES ALONG!!! This one is only wearing a swimsuit and nothing else!" Nami screams.

"HEY! I didn't decide to drop here unprepared!" I tsukommi.

"So you were planning to find us at some point?" Zoro

"NO! I mean, I didn't even know it was possible!"

"In what way. Just tell us who you are already." Sanji

"Well to start things off, I'm Lynx Clawe… Clawe D Lynx. 22 years old. I was just with my friends chilling in a river. And suddenly I fell into a whirlpool… Next thing I know I woke up on your deck." I casually add the D, cause this is One piece.

"But why did you ask to join us so quickly? Did you know of us already?" Zoro

"Cause we are in the middle of the ocean with no where to go… Not to mention I have no idea how to get back Home." Lynx

"Oh, maybe I can help. Where are you from?" Nami

"Doubt it really. Have you heard of Europe?" Lynx

"Can't say I have… Is it a small village in East Blue?" Nami furrows her brows.

"Not surprised. Goddammit!" I hit my head against the mast for good measure.

"Then tell us why you are so sure in joining us?" Zoro

'Ok, time for some bullshit!'

"You know about dreaming abut the past, present and future? It happens to me a lot, but the problem is, it doesn't tell me when it did or will happen." Lynx

"So you are saying you can dream about the future?" Sanji puffs a smoke cloud.

"Yep! And I know this is my best bet at living in this world. But don't worry, I won't spoil you anything. I'll at most warn you if it's something important." Lynx

"Ah, okay!" Luffy just nodded. He doesn't like his fun spoiled.

"Hah! I don't believe you!" Zoro declares with a grin.

I look at him with a bored expression and only utter one word.

"Kuina." The word froze Zoro like a statue with a disbelieving look.

"Well anyway! My skills include carpenting, smithing, playing the violin and guitar, singing, dancing, axe throwing and archery." Lynx

"HIRED WITH NO OBJECTIONS! WE GOT OUR MUSICIAN! " Luffy screams while wrapping his limbs around me like an octopus.

"Nice to meet you captain! Hope you will like my music! Now… Usopp, do we have any wood, metal wires, ropes and some tools?" Lynx

"Oh we do! Come, the great warrior will show you!" Usopp puffs his chest proudly before leading me under the deck.

Arriving in the small workshop established by him, I quickly take some tools, a board, nails and some rope.

I measure my feet on the board, cut it to size, sand down the sides and surface, nail two pieces of wood beneath, drill holes and tie some rope. Some geta sandals are made. I put them on and try them out.

"Cheap, but they will do their job for now. Don't want my feet full of splinters." Lynx

I check the rest of the wood, only to be disappointed.

"Thanks Usopp, though there is no good wood for a good instrument or bow." Lynx

"No problem Lynx! So was that all you wanted to do?" Usopp

"Yep! For now at least. So let's go check on the others." Lynx

Arriving on top I can see Zoro sleeping again, Nami steering the rudder, Luffy is sitting on Merry's figurehead and Sanji is probably in the kitchen. Since there is nothing to do, I go join Sanji in the kitchen.

"Yo Sanji! Do you need any help in the kitchen?" Lynx

"Not really, a meal for all of us isn't that difficult to do… But you remind me. Tell me what you like and don't like to eat." Sanji

"Oh, for customizing my pallette? I'm actually not that much of a picky eater… I guess a problem on the sea would be fresh vegetables and fruits for me? I dislike heavy meals unless I'm hungry from exercise.

I like sour, salty, sweet and bitter tastes equally. Spicy food is good occasionally too. Oh the only thing I dislike are beans!" Lynx

"Ah, finally someone that likes vegetables! The fresh vegetables will only be available on short voyages, but everything else can be arranged. Like mellowing down the heavyness of food.

But can you tell me the reason why you don't like beans? Any favorite dish?" Sanji

"Just dislike the texture and taste. I eat all other legumes gladly so it shouldn't be a problem. My favorite dishes are fresh sushi and grilled chicken wings." Lynx

"Good, will adapt your food to your liking from tomorrow." Sanji

"Thanks! Oh and call me if you need help. I cooked a lot for myself at home, so I should be able to help." Lynx

"Yea, see you later!"

I leave the kitchen and approach Nami now.

"Hey Nami! Where are we now?" Lynx

"A days away from Loguetown. The last island before the Grandline." Nami

'Fuck! I only got a day before we run into that shitstorm against Smoker?!'

I pretend like there is nothing happening before continuing.

"Sooo this is kinda awkward since you are younger than me… But can I borrow some money to get clothes and some materials for my instrument and weapon?" Lynx

Nami snaps her neck toward me.

"How MUCH are you planning to borrow and how do you plan on paying back?" Nami

"No idea yet, because I don't know the prices in the port. Maybe a hundred thousand? For now I plan on repaying with labor until there is a way to get money…

Let's make a deal, I will warn you about TWO things you have to be careful in Loguetown that could screw us later, if you don't take interest for lending me money." Lynx

"Oh couldn't you tell this little one for free, pwetty pweaseeee?" Nami tries the puppy dog eyes.

"I ain't falling for that. I know that the only way I would get anything from you is to become your sugar daddy, but you would rather rob me in that case." Lynx

"Whats a sugar daddy?" Nami literally looks confused.

"Ah you don't know? It's when a guy is rich and gets a hot young girlfriend. She satisfies his demands and he buys her almost everything she desires in exchange." Lynx

"You take me for a whore?!" Nami stares into my eyes.

"If I gave you 100 million berries, would you let me take your virginity?" I stare at her back.

"A hundred million!!!" Her eyes change to Berry signs.

"I'll take that as a yes. But anyway, don't put an interest on the money you lend me and I'll tell you the two things." Lynx

"Ugh, fine! It better be worth it!" Nami sighs from irritation.

"Well the first one, is that we need to buy a log pose. Normal compasses don't work in the Grandline, while the log pose is a special one that allows you to find your way.

Believe me, you wouldn't have found out about this until you were in the grandline, that caused a panic." Lynx

"Fine and the other one?" Nami rolls her eyes.

"Shop and bring back the stuff to the ship as fast as you can. The whole city is a gunpowder barrel ready to explode as the last stop before the Grandline. We should sail out the same day." Lynx

Horror sneaks up on her face.

"Was it worth it?" She rolls her eyes at me.

"Yes." She whispers to herself before focusing on navigation again.

Since there is nothing more to do, I go do some basic training.

'I need to become strong soon for the shitstorm that will follow.'

The day continued with small talk and training.

*Next morning*

With a yawn I walk up on deck, garnering an assessing stare from Zoro.

"*Sigh* If you wanna say something, just do it." Lynx

"How do you know about Kuina?" Zoro

"Well I know some of your sad pasts from dreams. Just her name would make you believe me faster, so I chose it." My words stop Sanji in his tracks.

"You know everything about our past?" Sanji asks with a frown.

"Not everything, but major events, yup!" Lynx

"How much do you know of-?" Sanji

"I know about your family, but don't worry, I won't say anything." I pat his back.

"Much appreciated. Come and get your breakfast." Sanji

"So Zoro. Are you willing to teach me about swordsmanship?" Lynx

"Oh? You want to be a swordsman?" Zoro grins.

"Well, my world sucks because there is an actual limit a human body cannot go past. But I feel like I can do that here. In my world I would have to rest one day after a heavy workout. Here I feel good in about an hour. So I am willing to try anything to get stronger, especially in close combat." Lynx

"Good, meet me after breakfast. We will start your conditioning!" Zoro walks to the kitchen.

As I arrive inside, everyone is here already with Sanji kicking Luffy occasionally from the food.

Sitting down, Luffy yells "Time to eat!" and Sanji doesn't kick him anymore unless he tries to grab food that isn't his.

After the meal, I helped Sanji clean up the dishes before walking out to the deck.

"What took you so long?" Zoro looks a bit irritated.

"I helped to clean up." I shrug my shoulders.

"Fine, first tell me what style do you want to fight with. One, two, three swords? Katanas, sabres, one handed, two handed swords?" Zoro

"Well I was thinking of going with two one handed sabres. My best experience is from dancing with shashka sabers, so I think it is a better start than with other options." Lynx

"I could hardly call dancing with swords a start, but you got used to holding them, so I guess it will do.

Since you will probably have more a dancing style, since you got used to it that way *sigh*... You will have to work hard on your wrists, fingers and practice the spins into oblivion.

Now drop and give me 1000 push ups."

"... Fine." I drop down on the floor and start doing push ups.

'Damn it… I will only be able to do this because of the change of environment. Thank god for enhanced body regeneration…'

With random thoughts I continue doing exercises under the watch of Zoro.

After a while the News Coo flew over to the ship.

"What? Did you raise prices again? You are charging too much!" Nami

"Kaw!" The Coo just keeps saluting without a change.

"If you raise prices again, I'm not buying from you anymore." Nami

"What's a newspaper or two?" Usopp

"If you read one everyday, it's good for the brain." Nami shrugs.

"You done collecting money, aren't you?" Usopp

"Don't be stupid!" Nami starts to explain about getting more money while Usopp stops her while explaining his new pepper sauce star.

"HANDS OFF!" Luffy crashes into Usopp, spilling the pepper formula into his eyes.

"ADIBAGYBRRRAAAA!!!" Usopp is dying from pain.

"What? Can't I have just one?" Luffy rages about not being able to get a tangerine.

Sanji is in his Nami-swan antics again, so I ignore it.

"Hey Nami! Shake the newspaper so ads or whatever else inside falls out." I grin.

"Huh? Sure?" She raises the newspaper and shakes out the contents, a lone paper ad.

""WHAAAAT?!"" They all scream seeing Luffy's face on the wanted poster.

"Hahaha we are wanted dead or alive! They say we are worth 30 million!" Luffy

"As usual, you guys have no idea how serious this is. The navy is hunting you Luffy!" Nami

Luffy just laughs it off, Usopp teases the moping Sanji while Zoro is looking at the sea.

"Calm down Nami. The east blue is called the weakest sea. The Navy doesn't have any high rank strong enough here to catch us… Nevermind, there is one in Loguetown." Lynx

Nami paled knowing that that is our next destination.

"LYNX! You said you won't spoil things!" Luffy grabs my collar and looks at me angrily.

"I didn't , I'm just giving you a warning that there is one dude we can't face at all there, so be careful." Lynx

"Oh is that a challenge?" Zoro grins fearlessly.

"No, that's a fact. You won't be able to even scratch him because he is also a devil fruit user. I gave my warning, now I won't spoil anymore." Luffy lets go of my collar, seemingly satisfied with the end.

"Tch! Another devil fruit user… Oh there is the island." Zoro

*Later after docking at Loguetown.*

"Wow, this place is huge!!!" Luffy

"So this is where the age of pirates began?" Sanji

"Right! I'm going to see the execution scaffold!!" Luffy

"I can get some pretty good cooking ingredients here!" Sanji

"I guess I'll find us some equipment!" Usopp

"There is something I want to buy too." Zoro

"I'll gladly lend you some money… With a 300% interest!" Nami just smiles.

"Hey Nami! Can I get my money too?" Lynx

"Yea, here is your part." She gives me a small bag with the money notes.

"Thank you. Don't forget about the log pose. See you later!" I wave my hand before walking off.

I first walked into a boutique store. There I bought myself some casual wear consisting of blue shorts and purple short sleeved shirts, some longer versions for colder weather and a winter coat.

Next was a shoe store…

"I am so fucking lucky~!!! They had the type of shoes AND my giant foot size!"

I change to a set and carry the rest back to the ship before running back to the hardware shops. I buy some good wood there, some more specialized tools, some musical wires and a big backpack to fit it all inside.

My last stop was a smithy to get some good metal alloys, on which I spent the rest of my money on.

"God, this shit is heavy. Let's finish up and go see the execution, hahaha."

I bring the stuff to the Merry and run off again towards the main square.

"Ah, it feels so nice to run without feeling tired~ I love this world!"
