Shelly shuddered at the words of the Great Saintess holding her wrists. She was petrified. But she managed to hide the shock behind her eyes.
She shook her head nervously and answered, "N-No, Your H-Holiness."
She lowered her head and bit her lips hard. The gazes of the people surrounding her began to make her uncomfortable. She wanted to pull her hands, but the Saintess was gripping her wrists tightly.
Then in a gentle manner yet again, the Saintess spoke, "Do you know a person can be confirmed lying through body language and elevated heartbeat?"
Shelly was stunned. She felt the grip on her wrists tighten. Looking up, she saw the Saintess smiling timidly at her, but somehow her smile sent shivers down her spine. She immediately averted her eyes and focused somewhere else. But the direction they landed where in the Grand Duke's, and getting more frightened at the coldness of his stare, she just lowered her head.
