Chapter- 8 Duel II

3rd POV

Back in the outside world, there was no change.

The conversation between Velarius and Kaian had seemed to be in an instant less than a second.

After Kaian became unconscious in his mind, in the outside world Velarius took over Kaian's body.

As it happened Kaian's face turned serious and it seemed his face's all his emotions seem to disappear replaced by an emotionless face or even a mask.

William was once again shocked by this drastic change but was confident that he could defeat him with his [Ignition Form].

On the other hand, Ranell seemed visibly shocked as Kaian's aura seemed to completely change like a different person entirely.

Kaian(Velarius) took his position with his sword in one hand while keeping his other hand free and William's sword's flame grew even bigger as he took his position.

The two rushed forwards towards each other.

As their swords met for a second, Kaian used his free hand and punched William in the stomach which made him fly back to his corner.

As he was on the ground he spat a mouthful of blood as he stood up shaken.

Valerius POV

'The kid can still stand up? He has got good endurance or maybe its because of that accursed sword'

'But knew this guy was weak but not this much he barely has any mana for a good physique.. but this is all I have currently to work with'

I rushed forward as I strike towards his left hand.

He parries my blow but then I once again punched him in the stomach.

3rd person

"Still as clueless" Kaian said

"I used the same tactic again but you still failed to even react to it do better so it can at least be worth my time"

William stands up again barely with the support of his sword and this time he rushes forwards and uses all of his power to strike Kaian.

Kaian easily blocks William's sword and pushes him back.

Kaian then takes up his sword and his sword begins to glow in a shade of purple.

He rushes towards William smiling like a maniac using his sword like a rapier clearly to kill William.

As Kaian's Sword is centimetres away from William's chest suddenly Kaian rushes back at an insane speed and a moment later a red sword appears in the place where Kaian's hand was.

"Finally decided to intervene huh?" Kaian says with a smirk.

"Spirit leave his body at once," Ranell says as he glares at 'Kaian'.

"Why should I?" Kaian questions as he once again takes his position to fight the old man.

"To not get that vessel of yours severely injured or even killed" Ranell replied as two translucent red swords appear in his hands out of thin air.

"Fair point I will back down, for now, you should erase that kid's memory I will take care of things from my side"

Saying this Kaian falls to the ground unconscious.

Kaian POV

As I open my eyes, my hands unconsciously goes towards the top of the desk beside the bed to get my mobile.

But I found nothing on the desk.

As I got up I found myself back in my room.

'Maybe that duel thing was all a dream' I thought with happiness

"Sorry to disappoint but no that actually happened and you shouldn't move" A voice rang out in my head as and I recognized it as Velarius's voice.

"Wait what? Valerius?" I asked surprised

"You can just think and I can listen and only you can hear me but before this stuff, you should thank those three they are good people," He says

As I look around to find the people that Velarius is talking about I find the trio sleeping on the floor.

'Are you talking about them?' I asked

"Yeah they stayed up almost all night seeing after you though that old bastard still came sometimes to keep an eye on your recovery" He replies

As I get a notification.

[Skills [Spectral Fusion I] has been successfully acquired]

[All stats have been increased by 10]

[Mana points have been increased by 100]

[Health Points have been increased by 20]

[10% Evolution completed need more resouces]

'What the hell? Why am I getting more stats for no reason?' I exclaim in my mind

"It's because of me you should check all of them you know you can at least stand that guy's fire form or something" Valerius replies

'How strong is William?' I ask

"He is strong even for an average person but you are now equal to an average person and just get another evolution and you will get strong enough to destroy that guy in his fire form easily" He replies with the same carefree attitude

'Actually, what happened after-'

"Kaian you are awake? you should sleep you are injured" Jake wakes up and with sleepy eyes gets up and wakes up the other two.

They ask me different questions about how I got injured and what happened during the night but at that moment Ranell came into the room.

"It seems you are okay now Kaian you will not attend training for today healers can heal you, just rest and you three come out now," He says with a little emotion in his voice and focusing on the last part and leaves.

"Why?"Jake complained

"Bored of this now?" Luke says

"You two no more fights let go we should let Kaian rest peacefully for once," Hudson says and they left

'Finally some peace time' I think

"hey you should change that ranking system of your system to level one it seems to be more common and accurate" Valerius advises me

'Yeah you are right to let's see things about the system'

After 15 minutes of exploring the interface, I find a way to change the ranking system to levels.

'Now time for me to see my status for the second time'

As I was mentally celebrating the door opened and I see William enter the room followed by two people in white robes.
