"[Name]...[Name]!" You heard Cloud's voice getting closer. He said your name louder and louder until he finally reached your bed side and began to shake your shoulders. You groaned and swatted him away. He sighed, "Get up. You need to get ready for Auron's class." "No...Im sleepy..." You replied as you tried to return to sleep. He chuckled, "Dont make me get the water bucket." You peeked one eye open to stare at him, "You wouldn't." You heard the sound of wet footsteps walking down the hall. A soaking Ven passed your room door, heading for the towel closet down the hall."Dont doubt him." Ven grumbled as he walked by. Cloud stood and you slung yourself out of bed. You pushed Cloud out so you could get dressed.You walked down the stairs towards the kitchen where the three blonde headed boys sat eating. "Morning!" You chirped happily opening the fridge. "Morning [Name]." Roxas replied."Morning." Cloud nodded flipping through today's newspaper. Ven just grunted and nodded. You quickly ate, then put your dishes into the sink. "What time to I have to be there Cloud?" You asked him."Umm 7:00. So we should leave now or we're going to be late. You ready?" He checked his watch then answered. You thought for a moment, "I'm working today though Cloud." He shook his head, "You're off this entire week." You grinned ear from ear, "You got me off work?" Roxas chuckled."It wasn't Cloud." Ven said dumping his dishes into the sink. Before you could ask who, Cloud answered."Leon talked to your boss." Cloud smirked.You giggled lightly. Ven began to walk towards the door when Cloud stopped him."You're still grounded till this Friday, Ventus." Cloud said. Ven rolled his eyes and walked back over to Cloud."Im going to work dearest brother." Ven said.Cloud nodded and smiled, "No you're not."Ven forced a frown, "Oh darn. Guess I'll stay home then. Tell my boss I'm being punished ok?"Cloud crossed his arms, "Oh I will. But you really think I'd trust you home alone? You're coming with me and [Name]." Ven chuckled, "Ok ok whatever no biggie."Roxas smirked, "They're going to Auron's remember?" Ven nodded, "So little bro?"Roxas brushed off the little brother comment and answered, "You loved training with Auron the first time. I'm sure the second time will be just as fun!"Ven rolled his eyes, "I'm just going to watch... [Name]...train. Right Cloud?" His sentence veered off as he caught his older brother smirking at him. "Welcome to Auron's class of self-defense...again." Cloud said mockingly. Ven groaned as you and Roxas laughed.The dojo where Auron taught was way past the mall on the other side of town. Roxas had left for work already, leaving you, Ven and Cloud to walk there. They steered clear of the trolley and you didn't even mention it. Walking was good for you anyway. Once you got there, Cloud motioned for you to take off your shoes before entering which you did quickly. Once you three were in, shoeless, Cloud led you to the back where Auron was at a desk. "Hey I brought your new student and the brat you get to baby-sit." Cloud said smirking.Auron chuckled lightly and smiled, "Nice to see you three."He glanced at you in particular. He turned around at his desk and picked up a box. He handed it to you."Here's your uniform. Go change, the changing rooms are in the back." Auron then picked up a broom and dust pan and handed it to Ven."Here I want you to sweep the floors." Ven rolled his eyes, sighing and snatched the broom and pan away from Auron. He mumbled something along the lines of 'better than training again...'.Cloud chuckled before patting Auron on the back, exchanging goodbyes and leaving. You headed to the back to change out, you wore what looked like a Tae Kwon Do uniform with the white belt and everything. You stepped back out to see other kids wearing the same as you, some with higher belt colors then others. You smiled as you saw the two people you recognized right away. "Leon, Angeal!" You smiled widely an walked towards them. They saw you and stood straighter. They both wore black belts."[Name]." Leon nodded slightly smiling.Angeal ruffled your hair, "Hey [Name]." You fixed your hair and said, "I didn't know you guys were going to be here." They chuckled. "Auron needs help teaching kids like you." Angeal teased. Leon nodded, "It was our week." You saw Xion run through the front door into the changing rooms. You chuckled as Auron came in and called class to order. You stood near the back, Xion snuck in and stood besides you. She wore one color above you, yellow. "Hey [Name]." She whispered as Auron continued to speak with Leon and Angeal besides him. "Hey Xi. Why are you so late?" You asked. She sighed, "My alarm clock didn't go off, and my brother was already at work." "Now go into your groups." Auron announced, you had missed evrything he said previously. You turned to see Xion already walking to her group. You nervously played with your necklace around your neck when you felt someone tap your shoulder. "You're in my group [Name]. Try and keep up." Angeal joked dragging you towards the group of kids he was supposed to teach, overlooking Leon's slight glare towards Angeal. Angeal taught your group, which consisted mainly of white belts like you, the basics. Class continued for a while when a boy ran through the front door panting. Auron walked towards him, quickly followed by Leon and Angeal. While everyone talked to each other you strained to hear their conversation. The boy gave Auron a piece of paper from the stack he was carrying and ran out the door. Auron read over the paper before handing it off to Angeal and Leon to read. "Class." Auron gained their attetion, "Class is dissmissed early today. You'll find out why later from your family. Have a good rest of the afternoon." The class walked to the changing room, but you walked towards Auron and them first. "What was that about?" You asked. "We'll explain later, go get changed. We're gonna head to Seventh Heaven." Auron said.You left to get changed, after you stepped out of the changing room you ran into Ven, literally. He dropped the bag of garbage he was carrying. "Sorry Ven!" You said. He shook it off and picked up the bag, putting back in what had fell out, "No sweat, relax." He tossed the bag into a trash can in the corner and lead you out into the dojo where Auron, Leon, Angeal and Xion stood. "So what was that all about?" You asked again. Xion handed you the paper, while you read it Ven read over your shoulder."No way!" You cried. "Dang." Ven muttered. "Come on we're going to Seventh Heaven. Everyone's meeting there to hear the list." Xion said.Seventh Heaven was the same, other then the fact Cloud and Tifa sat across the room from each other and that the atmosphere was tight with worry. Someone had brought a small portable TV and had it set up to play the emergency channel. Everyone crowded around it waiting. Zexion sat with a pencil and paper, ready to copy down names. All conversations were hushed when the announcer came on, "We are about to list the name of those who will require the vaccine, we will repeat this list all throughout the day. Tyler Abram. David Alan..." The list continued on forever going in alphabetical order. Once they got back to the beginning Zack turned it off. "Did you get the names?" Terra asked. Zexion nodded and read them off, "Auron, Angeal, Leon, Sora, Riku, Axel, Reno, Zack, Terra, Xion, Cloud, Roxas, Demyx, Cid, Olette, Hayner, Pence, Yuffie, Tifa and me."That was everybody, except you and Ven that is. You looked around the room, it was dead quiet and serious. "When are the vaccines?" Sora asked. "They are setting them up right now." Auron answered. "We should go now. I'm sure there's already a line for it." Tifa noted.Auron nodded, "Tifa's right, let's go." Everyone headed for the doors, you stayed put. So did Ven and Cloud. "Cloud wasn't your name called?" You asked him. Cloud's face was pale. Ven rolled his eyes, "He ain't gonna go." You ignored Ven and walked over to sit besides Cloud. "Cloud are you ok?" You asked resting your hand on his shoulder. His snapped his eyes to meet yours and leaned back nonchalantley. "Y-Yeah everything's fine." He answered. "Dont you have to go get the vaccine?" You asked. He shrugged, "I'll just get it later. I don't even feel sick." Ven chuckled and muttered something under his breath. "Ventus Strife." You glared at him.He put his hands up in mock defeat, "Chill [Name]. It's not my fault Cloud's a big wuss." You glared at him again, and oh boy if looks could kill..."Ventus quit it." You sighed looking back at Cloud."He's right." Cloud sighed."Never thought I'd hear those words referred to Ven." You muttered. Ven protested with shouts of complaints. "I'm..I'm-" Cloud tried to start but Ven cut him off. "The chicken's scared of needles!" Cloud sighed. Your eyes widened and you almost cracked a smile but pushed it away. "R-Really?" You asked, he nodded. "Well come on Cloud, this is serious. I mean it's a toxic leak or whatever..." You said. Ven spoke up, "Don't you think that's wierd though. Why wouldn't they just give everyone the vaccine just in case?" You shrugged, "I don't know maybe they only have a certain amount." That answer didn't satisfy him. "But did you hear all the names, those were the smarties and the toughies." You looked at him funny, "Did you just say smarties and toughies?" He waved you off, "You know what I mean! The smart people and the tough people who can fight."You rested your hands on your hips, "Then what about you tough guy?" He leaned back in his chair, "Before you came I had a D average in almost every class." Cloud sat up straighter, "You what?" Ven chuckled grinned sheepishly, "Nevermind?" You shushed them both, "Come on Cloud. I'm not gonna let you die over something stupid like this." You grabbed his arm and tried to drag him out of his seat. "[Name]..." Cloud sighed. "Cloud please this is important!" You pouted. He sighed and stood, "Fine. I'll go there, but I make no promises." The town square was crowded with people. White tents were set up and had medical supplies in them with people giving out the vaccine. It was a shot with a purplish greenish tinted liquid in it. Once Cloud stepped foot into the square his face paled and he got quiet again. You still gripped his hand, Ven was on the other side of you. "Dont worry Cloud. It'll all be over soon." You gave him a reassuring smile."Unless like the nurse misses and stabs you somewhere else then-" Ven started to say with a smirk on his face."Dont you have somewhere else to be!?" You cried.Ven chuckled as Cloud ignored him completely. "[Name] I got a bad feeling about this..." Cloud said.You rubbed his arm, "Dont worry. Now come on."He stopped altogether, "I-"You sighed, "Its gonna be fine Cloud."You turned and began to walk again with Cloud, noticing Ven had completely disappeared. You dragged Cloud to the sign in station a few minutes later."Name?" A nurse asked."Cloud Strife." You replied."I don't see that name on here." The nurse rechecked her list a few times, "I don't think you need the vaccine.""We heard his name though, I'm positive." You told the confused nurse.She shook her head, "Sorry his name's not on the list."You and Cloud walked away, you wore a look of confusion on your face while Cloud was just filled with pure relief. Ven walked up to you guys."How was the shot?" He asked smirking."He didn't get one." You answered back.Ven shrugged, "Oh well, is all I got to say. Let's go." Ven began to walk away, towards home and Cloud followed him without hesitation. You began to follow when you felt someone grip your wrist tightly. You turned around to see Kadaj, but something wasn't right. "Hello [Name]." Kadaj greeted darkly.You gave him a hesitant smile and tried to pry your wrist away, "Hey Kadaj, can you let me go, please?" He chuckled, "Why would I want to let go of a pretty girl like you?" He pulled you closer, his eyes were darker then before, and he looked much stronger. His muscles flexed underneath his shirt as he pulled you into a crushing hug. "Kadaj!" You gasped for breath. Someone pulled him off of you. You stumbled when his iron grip was released and bent over trying to catch your breath. You looked up to see who saved you. "I do sincerely hope you are ok Miss [Surname]." Sephiroth said with no remorse.Without waiting for an answer he turned to glare darkly at Kadaj. No words were spoken, but Kadaj got the message and stormed away. Sephiroth looked back at you."Have a nice day." He walked away, leaving you standing in the crowd of people sore and confused.Cloud and Ven walked into the house nonchalantly."Where's [Name]?" Ven asked noticing you hadn't followed them home. "She probably just ended up talking to Xion or Yuffie or something..." Cloud stared at Ven. Ven stared back skeptically, "What?"Cloud crossed his arms, "What did you do?"Ven shrugged, "I have no idea what your talking about Cloudy."Cloud pushed him lightly, "Tell me. You had something to do with the fact I didn't get a shot. Didn't you?"Ven sighed, "So maybe I erased your name off the list, what's the big deal?"Cloud stood there silently before smiling, "Thanks bro."Ven smirked, "Hey what can I say? I'm just awesome like that." Cloud stepped foward and gave him a brief hug and patted him on the back.After a moment Ven pushed him off, "Hey don't get mushy on me now."Cloud chuckled and sat down on the couch and turned on the TV.
