School the next day was still buzzing with excitement from last nights games. The double win got the entire school celebrating. That wasn't the only thing that had all the students of Hollow Bastion Academy talking though."[Name]!" You were walking down the hall with Olette when someone called your name. You turned around to see Yuffie racing down the hall and pushing past people. "Hey Yuffie", You and Olette greeted, smiling at her early morning energy. "So!?" Yuffie asked walking to your left, Olette at your right. "So what?" You asked. Yuffie stared at you like you had two heads, "So! What are you guys gonna wear to the dance?" Olette laughed understanding her question now. You continued to stare at the two of them questionably."I dont know yet, I was gonna go shopping today after school." Olette answered. "There's gonna be a school dance?" You asked interrupting their shopping conversation. Olette and Yuffie both turned to stare at you questionably this time."Yeah [Name]!" Yuffie said with a tone of amusement in her voice, "Its the end of the year dance." The bell rang as you opened your mouth to speak. "Gotta go my silly little junior friends! This senior is OUT!" Yuffie yelled skipping down the hall. You and Olette walked into your first period and sat in the front. "Where's Pence and Hayner?" You asked. "Skipping." Olette sighed.The teacher walked in and began to go over today's notes. Halfway through class though when she tried to pass out papers she realized she was ten short. Quickly she excused herself from the classroom."[Name]?" Olette asked you as soon as the teacher left the room to get copies. "Yeah?" You asked turning to look at her. "I know you're probably gonna get asked by a dozen guys to go to the dance but-" You cut her off with a question, "What?"Olette just continued, "But me and my sister Yuna planned on going as a big group with the other girls like KK, Paine, and Tifa. They asked me if I wanted to go with them but I'd be the only junior and I was wondering...?" "If I would join the group too?" You finished with a smile and she nodded. "I’d love to." Olette's smile widened, "Thanks, I think Yuffie might be coming with us too."After class had ended you said bye to Olette and left the room. As soon as you stepped out of the English room though Yuffie hooked arms with you. "Hey Yuffie." You said in a surprised tone. You wondered how she got around school so fast. "Hi [Name]!" She replied dragging you to the gym. "What are you doing?" You asked her. "Well duh! I’m protecting you from your stalkers!" She chirped."Stalkers?" you asked. "Well the dance is on the last day of school and you are gonna get SWARMED with guys asking you to go with them!" She explained.You scoffed and began to untangle your arm from hers, "Exaggerating much?" Yuffie just crossed her arms and stuck her tongue out at you childishly. You laughed at her behavior. "Are you going with Tifa and them as a group Yuff?" Yuffie's face brightened, "Yupp! How did you know?" The two of you stepped into the gym and walked into the girls locker room. "Olette asked me to go with you guys during first period." You replied changing into your PE clothes."Are you!?" Yuffie asked as she threw her school clothes into her PE locker. You nodded you head and neatly tucked your clothes away as well. "Well then! I guess I don't have to protect you from the boys anymore." You guys exited the locker room and into the gym where everyone else was dressed and ready for class. "[Name]!" Sora yelled. You looked around to see he was waving at you from the bleachers. Yuffie was staring at you witha smug 'I told you so' look. "Shut up." You said walking towards the bleachers. Yuffie ran ahead of you. "Yo [Name]!" You heard Reno call from behind you. You turned around and smiled as he ran up to you. As he got in front of you he doubled over and tried to catch his breath."What’s wrong Reno?" you asked giggling."I...You...And...", Reno tried to form, but because he was panting between each word you couldn't understand him. Axel ran up behind him a moment later and pushed him towards the bleachers so he fell into a seat. Axel was out of breath as well, "[Name]....Don’t...Listen..." Reno reached forward and grabbed Axel's shirt tail pulling him into a seat as well. He stood up and tried to talk to you again but Axel pulled his ponytail hard. They began to argue with each other when someone tapped on your shoulder. You turned around, "Hey Riku." Riku smiled, "Hey [Name], you wanna go to the dance with me?" "Hey!" Reno and Axel yelled from behind you."I was gonna ask her yo!" Reno yelled at Riku. "Who cares about you!? What about me!?" Axel yelled at Reno and Riku. "Uh I’d love to go but I'm going with Yuffie, Olette, and a few other girls as a group. Sorry." You replied meekly. Riku nodded, "I understand."You heard mumbles of complaint from the red heads behind you. The three of them left you. With a shrug you walked over to sit back by Yuffie. In the next class you sat down at the art table between Namine and Xion. "Hey [Name]! Excited for the dance?" Namine asked as Yuna, KK, Paine and Olette sat down. "Yeah!" You said happily. Tifa walked over towards the table. "The theme is so romantic!" Xion gushed."What's the Theme?" You asked. "Still of the Night." KK said dramatically. "So we're all going shopping after school today still right?" Tifa asked. Everyone nodded and murmured in agreement. "Ok just checking." Tifa said before walking back to the teacher’s desk.

After lunch, in science class, you sat beside Ven across from Sora. "Hey Guys." You said smiling. "Hey [Name].” Ven said, Sora just nodded your way. Riku walked over and sat beside Sora. "Hey [Name]." Riku said. Sora walked away and sat in an open seat besides Kairi."What’s wrong with Sora?" You asked. Riku shook his head, "Forget it." Zack walked in with Axel not far behind him. They both plopped down in a chair solemnly. Vexen walked over to them. "What? No flirting with young Ms. [Surname] today?" You blushed when you heard his comment, but he just continued. "No chaos? Or Yelling?" He sneered. Axel glared up at him. Zack shook his head, "Make up your mind dude, do you want us to wreck your classroom or not?" Vexen glared at the two of them before walking away mumbling under his breath. His class passed by quickly, thank goodness, and you soon found yourself packing up to go to the next class."Mind if I walk ya?" Zack said as you exited Vexen's classroom. "Of course not." You replied with a smile. Zack half-heartedly returned the smile. "Are you ok Zack?" you asked. He nodded with a forced chuckle, "Why wouldn’t I be?" You both stepped into the classroom and headed for your desks."[Name]!" Demyx said happily as you sat down in your seat. Zexion smiled sweetly at you. "I’m glad to see not everyone's in a bad mood." You muttered. Reno began to protest when the teacher began to talk.

"I’m gonna ask her today man." Sora said. Riku watched you walk into the Locker Room with Yuffie. "Yeah ok." He replied. "Dude were you even listening?!" Sora asked. Riku snapped into reality. "Wha-Yeah. Of course I was." Riku said. "But how? I’m not gonna be the only one that wants to ask her." Riku nodded his head. He really wasn't listening to a thing Sora had to say. He was to lost in his own thoughts. "Riku? Hello! Riku?" Sora waved his hand in his face. "I'll ask her." Riku mumbled to himself. A small smile slid to his lips as he thought of asking you to go to the dance with him. He could see it playing in his head. "You will?!" Sora's eyes widened. Riku opened his mouth to think of words. His dream slowly began to crumble around him as he realized what he had just said. "You'll ask her for me? Dude Thanks!" Riku shook his head and tried to figure out how to save the mess he just made, "Uhh-" Sora stood up from his seat on the bleachers and began to look for her, "Look here she comes." Sora wildly began to wave his arms, "[Name]!" Riku sighed and stood up as well. He turned and stared at his best friend. "Right." Riku said before standing up and walking towards you. The slow descent down the bleachers was cruel. The entire time he fought with himself. 'I can't do this to Sora', Riku thought, 'If I ask her for myself it'll crush him...'All thoughts came to a sudden stop when he you turned around to look at him after he tapped your shoulder. For that moment he forgot all about Sora and as the question of the dance came out of his mouth he felt a twinge of guilt. Axel and Reno stomped over to where Sora, Roxas and Ven were sitting in the bleachers."Man this sucks." Axel scoffed."What?" Roxas and Ven asked curiously. Sora on the other hand was smiling to himself and staring off, deep in thought."[Name]'s going with her friends to the dance yo." Reno sighed."And to top it all off show off Riku asked her before us!" Axel yelled. "Hey!" Sora yelled, standing up for his best friend, "He asked her for me!" Reno shook his head, "No he didn't man." Sora shook his head trying to understand. Riku said he'd ask you for him. Riku would never do this to him. "Your 'Best Friend' asked her to go with HIM. Not you. Got it Memorized?" Axel said tapping the side of his head with his finger. Sora looked for his supposed best friend in the gym. Riku was talking to Cloud on the other side of the gym."Don’t be so surprised Sora." Ven said leaning back, "I’m not surprised Riku did this at all. Not one bit." Sora was still in shock. He stared dumbly at Riku who didn't dare turn around to look back at him."Why are you so calm Ven?" Roxas asked. Ven smirked, "Just cause she's going with her friends doesn’t mean I can’t dance with her."

Axel stood in front of the bathroom mirror checking his complexion. He shook his hair one last time before smiling at his reflection. He stepped out of the bathroom and checked his room clock. '5 minutes till second period starts.' Axel walked into his living room to see Reno on the couch. "What are you doing here?" Axel asked. Reno looked up from the TV at him, "Skipping first, what are you doing here?" Axel smirked, "Getting ready." Reno scoffed, "For what?" Axel rolled his eyes and walked to the front door locking it behind him as Reno walked out with him. "I’m gonna ask [Name] to the dance. Got it mem-" Reno cut him off with his protest, "No you’re not! I am bro!" Axel shook his head, "I don’t think so!" "I thought of it first!" They yelled in unison at each other, "Nuh uh!" They glared at each other for a moment. They both stood on the small front step of their house glaring at each other. "First one there gets to ask her!" Axel yelled. He pushed his brother into a shrub besides the front door and took off running towards the school. "No fair yo!" Reno yelled. He rolled out of the bush clumsily and began to race after Axel.

You got your lunch and walked over to where Namine and them were sitting. "[Name]!" Roxas greeted you. "Hi Roxas" You said smiling sitting between him and Ven. He blushed. Ven chuckled to himself, and when you looked over at him you noticed he was staring at Riku. "What are you laughing at?" You nudged him. Ven turned to look at you. He smirked and pointed to Riku and Sora. Sora was sitting at the far end of the left side, Riku on the far right. "What’s wrong with them?" You whispered to him. "Watch." Ven said. As if on cue Sora glared down at Riku, and Riku glared back. Then they both looked away from each other. Kairi, who was sitting next to Sora, rubbed his back and whispered into his ear. "So what’s up guys?" You said loudly to the table but directed it to Riku and Sora mostly. Sora and Riku glanced up at you and gave a slight smile before looking away again. You sighed. "They'll be fine [Name]." Roxas whispered at you. "Yeah but I'm not so sure how their friendship is gonna be." Ven chuckled out to you. You bit your lip.

After you got your lunch Cloud stepped next to you. "You're going to the dance with Tifa right?" He asked. You nodded, "Yeah why?" Cloud shook his head, "No reason." He took his usual seat beside Tifa. You on the other hand sat down between Reno and Angeal, across from Zack, Tifa and Cloud. "How's your leg Angeal?" You asked him with a smile. He returned the smile at you, "Its fine [Name]." Zack leaned forward toward you, "Hey [Name], I was wondering, about the dance maybe you and I-" Cloud, Tifa, Angeal and Reno cut him off, "No Zack." Zack leaned back and threw his hands up in the air, "I thought I was asking [Name]!" Angeal rolled his eyes, "She's going with Tifa and them." Reno mumbled something under his breath. Tifa turned to glare at him, "What was that Reno?" Reno smiled nervously, "Nothing!" Zack looked around the table, "How am I the last to know about this!?" Cloud smirked, "Maybe you’re not as fast as you think Fair." You giggled as everyone else began to laugh at Zack's expense. Zack leaned back and sighed.

Xion walked with you outside with your lunch. You sat down between Zexion and Xion. "Hey guys." You said. They all greeted you except Axel who just nodded. "What’s wrong Axel?" He looked up at you and opened his mouth to speak but Xion cut him off."Oh ignore him he's just mad that he can't go to the dance with you and that you're going with the girls." Xion said and Axel continued to pout. "Really?" Zexion asked, surprise in his voice. You nodded. "Well that’s ok [Name], I'll still see you there right?" Demyx asked and you nodded, "Of course Dem." His smile widened, Axel sat up and gave you a meek smile.
