They reached Zrum by evening.
Lenora was knackered and Drifus had to yet again carry her. This time, on his back like a sack of potatoes.
The tall stone walls stood out in the great wilderness of grass and random trees.
"We've made it," Drifus panted. Each step took great dedication.
"Mmmm." Lenora mumbled.
Apparently, she'd fallen asleep.
Drifus groaned but it was pointless. No, wait, it wasn't. Lenora was a human and he was an elf. He couldn't be seen carrying the lady.
So, using that as an excuse, Drifus could get away with this! At least that's the argument his tired mind produced before casually letting the lady slip over to the grass.
She wiggled groggily on the ground, stared at Drifus sleepily, and then went back to sleep. But only for a second because she woke up screaming. "There's something! There's something on my leg!"
